Spoiled By My Ex-Fiance's Uncle
Chapter 412: The Reply on the Star Note

Chapter 412: Chapter 412: The Reply on the Star Note

Zhou Ziqiao pressed down on his hand, "No, you can’t open it."

Mu Shaoze leaned slightly forward, his voice magnetic and enchanting, "Is there anything I shouldn’t know?"

Zhou Ziqiao shook her head, her voice involuntarily raised, "No, nothing at all!"

"That’s like saying there’s no silver here," he teased.

Zhou Ziqiao: "..."

Mu Shaoze hurriedly jumped off the bed, unfolded the star, and smoothed it into a strip of paper one centimeter wide.

Zhou Ziqiao closed her eyes tightly, hanging her head with her hands covering her face, feeling an unbearable sense of shame.

She took a deep breath and suddenly looked at him, "Go ahead and look!"

Mu Shaoze walked to the bed, knelt with his knees on the mattress, and edged forward, "Take a look."

Zhou Ziqiao’s eyes reddened as she turned her face to the other side, "I won’t look."

"Wife, please have a look."

"I really don’t want to, it’s too humiliating!"

"Please look at it just once, okay?" Mu Shaoze stretched out the strip of paper with both hands, his voice filled with pleading.

Zhou Ziqiao couldn’t quite understand, but as she reluctantly turned her head, she discovered that beneath the words she had originally written, there were now replies.

[Shaoze, I like you. When will you like me too?]

Reply: I will love you for the rest of my life.

She looked at Mu Shaoze in surprise, and in that moment, a bold guess formed in her mind.

She pulled out a handful of stars from the lucky bottle and unfolded one.

[Today was such a happy day; you bought me the first cup of milk tea of the fall; it was super tasty. I hope for this day to come every year.]

Reply: As long as you want it, I’m at your beck and call to buy it for you.

[Today, I made a wish under the Bodhi tree, hoping that it will come true.]

Reply: May all your wishes come true.

[The feeling of lying on your back is so nice, twisting my ankle was so worth it.]

Reply: From now on, I’ll give you princess carries whenever you want, however you want. I won’t let you get hurt again.

Zhou Ziqiao looked through her recorded moods written a while back, each now with a response. She felt a mixture of surprise, heartache, and a bit of bewilderment.

"I never thought you’d discover this secret, nor that you’d write a reply. Did you reply to every single star?"

Mu Shaoze nodded, "Yes, every single one. I read them all carefully and replied to you. You’re the naive one, so persistent about me. I’m the fool, only realizing my own feelings after I hurt you. Ziqiao, I owe you an apology first."

Zhou Ziqiao shook her head and while he wiped away her tears for her, her arms encircled his neck, and she planted a kiss at the corner of his lips.

Mu Shaoze kissed her tenderly. This was their first kiss after their shared night back from the night market to the villa half a year ago.

It was also a sincere kiss between them, as previous ones had been with biting out of frustration.

Mu Shaoze felt the dampness on her cheeks with the tips of his fingers, and slowly left her lips, "Don’t cry. It was all my fault before, please stop crying, okay?"

Zhou Ziqiao nodded, and the two hugged each other tightly.

"So, did you two sleep together that night?" Su Yue’s gossiping spirit came online, her head propped on one hand as she looked over at Zhou Ziqiao.

Zhou Ziqiao shook her head, "No, I got my period, Shaoze was worried."

Su Yue’s lips curled into a sly smile, "Oh, Fourth Young Master Mu is really pitiful, huh? He had to take care of it himself."

Although Zhou Ziqiao was laughing, she couldn’t withstand such teasing to her face, and she quietly turned around, "I’m so tired, I’m off to sleep."

Su Yue burst into laughter, suddenly reminded of a time she and Si Heng were together in the car.

She almost left Si Heng handicapped.

An Yan yawned, "Let’s go to sleep early, or we’ll all have panda eyes in the morning."

Su Yue suddenly remembered something, jumped off the bed, and ran out like a streak of smoke.

When she came back, she had a box of disposable face masks in her hand.

"I’ll apply this for you, and I guarantee by tomorrow morning your skin will be tender like tofu."

Su Yue’s enthusiasm was irresistible, and before long, she had smeared it all over An Yan and Zhou Ziqiao’s faces.

Then she dashed into the bathroom to slather her own face before lying down.

The three of them held hands and soon fell asleep.

When the morning sunlight snuck in, An Yan was already sitting in front of the vanity, with Su Yue doing her makeup.

Zhou Ziqiao started a live stream.

Given it was 5:30 AM, there weren’t many viewers, but the fans were exceptionally lively.

Su Yue only painted a light makeup for An Yan, after all, with good skin, not much embellishment was needed.

"Baby Yan, if you entered the entertainment circle, no one else would stand a chance."

An Yan smiled lightly, "My acting is too poor. When I was in the hospital, after waking up, I couldn’t keep up the amnesia act for more than a few days before I gave myself away."

Su Yue nodded, "You should have kept it going, really given Old Dog Fu a hard time."

An Yan shrugged, "I do regret it a bit, should’ve kept a straight face."

The three burst into laughter.

However, that laughter was transmitted from another mobile phone.

Bai Qinghan handed it to Fu Shiyan, "Look, sister-in-law is having regrets."

Fu Shiyan cleared his throat, "Women always say the opposite of what they mean. She couldn’t bear to see me upset at all."

Bai Qinghan curled his lips, thinking Su Yue was right, Fu Shiyan was indeed a real dog.

But he dared not say it out loud, just a mental scoff was enough.

Fu Shiyan patted his shoulder, "You wouldn’t understand, Yanyan just likes me this ’doggy’."

Bai Qinghan, "..." Isn’t that a bit too thick-skinned!

Fu Shiyan walked past him to look for the two little ones by Zhou Yi.

Fu Mu’an and Fu Jinyan were both dressed in black suits with their shirt collars tied with black bows, and shiny little leather shoes, looking especially dapper.

Fu Jinyan hugged Fu Shiyan’s leg, "Daddy looks so handsome today!"

Fu Mu’an, watching Fu Jinyan’s usual fawning, pursed his lips, "Still ’daddy’ huh!"

"You look handsome too!" Fu Shiyan lifted one in each arm, "And Anan looks handsome as well!"

Zhou Yi was dressed in a wine-red gown today, looking grand and proper with her hair impeccably pulled back into a bun.

"Let’s all have some breakfast, we’ll be leaving to fetch the bride in a while."

Fu Shiyan went downstairs to the dining room with the two little ones, and upon entering, saw that Fu Jinqiao had already started eating.

She was stuffing her mouth with Peking duck wrapped in thin pancakes.

Fu Jinyan made a face, "Sister Jinqiao can really eat."

Fu Jinqiao huffed, "I’m eating for two now, understand? You little rascal!"

Fu Mu’an was settled into a chair, "Sister Jinqiao was always a big eater."

Fu Jinqiao held her chin high, huffing, "In the future, you two will call me ’Third Aunt’, got it?"

Fu Mu’an and Fu Jinyan stuck out their tongues, bobbing them in agreement.

Fu Shiyan sat down, "What should I call you then?"

Fu Jinqiao stuffed a rolled duck into her mouth, muttering, "You, of course, have to call me... ’Third Sister-In-Law’!"

With that, she dashed off.

Fu Jinyan clicked his tongue, "Sister Jinqiao really is a nimble fatso!"

Fu Mu’an nodded, "She’s the ’Third Fatty’ dad always mentions."

Fu Jinqiao: I’m really fed up with you two!

Secretly, she was looking forward to Fu Shiyan calling her ’Third Sister-In-Law’ later on.
