Spoiled By My Ex-Fiance's Uncle -
Chapter 394: Uncle, how much older are you than me?
Chapter 394: Chapter 394: Uncle, how much older are you than me?
Fu Shiyan’s heart trembled at the words.
He hadn’t expected An Yan’s first thought upon waking to be about divorcing him.
He grabbed An Yan’s hand, "Wife, can’t we not get divorced? I admit I haven’t done well before, but it was due to some unavoidable reasons that the wedding has been postponed. Give me a chance, it’s okay to forget, I’ll tell you everything, I’m begging you."
An Yan lifted her hand to prop up the man’s chin, "Was I enchanted by this face of yours in the beginning?"
Fu Shiyan was taken aback and then gazed at her with his affectionate and profound eyes, "There was a certain reason."
"But you look a bit old, don’t you?" An Yan slightly furrowed her brows, "Uncle, how much older are you than me?"
Fu Shiyan felt a strong pang, his Adam’s apple bobbed, "Eight years."
An Yan clicked her tongue lightly, "That’s a lot. Aren’t younger brothers all the rage these days?"
Fu Shiyan: "..."
"Younger brothers are young and handsome, they know how to make their sisters happy, and they have solid abs..."
Fu Shiyan quickly stood up, grabbed An Yan’s hand, and pressed it against his lower abdomen, "The uncle’s—"
He coughed lightly, "The younger uncle’s abs are pretty nice too." Then he bent his knees slightly to let her feel his clearly defined chest, "This also feels pretty good."
An Yan unapologetically grabbed a handful, "Not bad."
Fu Shiyan breathed a sigh of relief, fearing that any dissatisfaction from An Yan would strike him out right then and there.
"Yanyan, rest assured, I work out every day, I definitely won’t disappoint you."
An Yan’s gaze held a trace of skepticism as she slowly withdrew her hand to rest on her lower belly, "You’re saying there’s a baby in here?"
"Yes, ten weeks now."
An Yan pondered for a moment, "Are our two kids good looking?"
"Good looking." Fu Shiyan felt as though he saw hope; good looks were a plus.
"Then I might consider staying for the kid."
Fu Shiyan: "...give me a chance."
An Yan looked at the nervous man, her delicate brows slightly raised, "Then I’ll give you three months to prove yourself."
Fu Shiyan nodded again and again, kissing the back of An Yan’s hand.
An Yan withdrew her hand quietly, "Don’t be touchy-feely, I’m not familiar with you right now."
Fu Shiyan: "..."
Every New Year’s Eve, the Mu Family and the Fu Family celebrated together, and this year it was the turn of the Mu Family.
Everyone sat around the table for the New Year’s Eve dinner with smiles on their faces, but they all felt uncomfortable in their hearts, after all, two people were missing.
Mu Shaoci asked the two little ones, "Anan, Yanyan, do you want to see the fireworks?"
Fu Mu’an shook his head, "Not really, I’m going back to my room to video chat with Dad."
Fu Jinyan took his hand, "Brother, don’t be like that. If we’re happy, Grandpa, Grandma, and Maternal Grandpa and Grandma will be happy too."
Fu Mu’an thought about it and then nodded in agreement, "Big Uncle, take us to set off fireworks."
The two little ones hopped off their chairs and ran out of the restaurant to put on their cotton coats.
Mu Shaoci stood up and followed them out.
Mu Qianfan also took Fu Jinqiao’s hand, "Let’s go, let’s take our newly bought sparklers with us."
Mu Shaoze asked Zhou Ziqiao, "Shall we go too? I hear that praying on New Year’s Eve is especially effective."
Zhou Ziqiao blinked, "Really? Then I want to pray for An Yan! But aren’t you tricking me?"
Mu Shaoze’s eyelid twitched, "How could I?"
Zhou Ziqiao pouted, "If you’re deceiving me, I won’t talk to you!"
Mu Shaoze gently stroked her slightly swollen belly, "How could I deceive you, don’t worry."
Zhou Ziqiao knew that Mu Shaoze was mostly trying to appease her, but she hoped what he said was true.
Watching everyone head out, Mu Boyan looked towards the elders of both families, "Let’s join the fun too. Little Five may not be able to see the fireworks now, but we can watch them for her, okay?"
"Okay." Inspired by the prayers, everyone walked out together.
With dull thuds, the night sky above the Mu Family manor erupted in brilliant fireworks.
Colorful dandelions spread across the starry sky, filling this New Year’s night with romance and hope.
Zhou Ziqiao pressed his hands together, praying silently.
The others followed suit, pressing their hands together in prayer.
Meanwhile, a black Maybach rolled in through the ornately carved gates that opened automatically.
Because everyone was praying with closed eyes, the sound of the detonating fireworks masked the noise of the car’s engine.
It wasn’t until the car stopped in front of them that they noticed.
Fu Shiyan got out of the car, and under everyone’s astonished gaze, he opened the passenger door and gently lifted An Yan to the ground.
The fireworks illuminated An Yan’s delicate face, her smile soft and warm.
Her stay in the hospital hadn’t weakened her, thanks to the nutritious liquid meals from Moon Restaurant.
Fu Shiyan turned her daily, massaging her muscles, so now except for some weakness in her leg muscles from lack of exercise, she felt no other discomfort.
Fu Shiyan wrapped his arm around her waist, letting her full weight rest on him, "I haven’t made any untoward moves, I just wanted to hold you, that’s all."
An Yan found his hurried explanations somewhat amusing.
Fu Shiyan asked, "Do you need a wheelchair?"
An Yan shook her head, "My back feels a bit uncomfortable from lying down, let’s walk instead."
Everyone present stood still, fearing that a single move would shatter this beautiful dream.
Fu Shiyan looked at everyone and smiled, "Yanyan really has woken up. The reason I didn’t tell you all in advance was to give everyone a surprise."
The two little ones charged over but stopped abruptly in front of An Yan, afraid of bumping into her.
"Mommy!"
"Mommy!"
The two little ones exclaimed in unison.
An Yan looked at the two little ones, "Younger Uncle said, the one who looks like him is Anan, and the one who looks like me is Yanyan."
Fu Mu’an and Fu Jinyan looked at each other, then in astonishment, said in unison, "Mommy, you have amnesia?"
An Yan replied, "Oh, I’m sorry, I can’t remember anything."
Everyone was shocked but quickly came to terms with this fact.
They lined up to introduce themselves to An Yan.
After everyone had introduced themselves, Fu Jinqiao sniffed, "Younger Auntie, do you remember who I am now?"
An Yan nodded solemnly, "I remember, you are the cutest Ziqiao in the whole world!"
Fu Jinqiao whined, "I’m the cutest Jinqiao in the whole world! You have to remember me this time!"
An Yan smiled, "Okay, I’ve remembered."
An Yan’s return was undoubtedly the best New Year’s gift for the Mu and Fu families.
The family gathered around An Yan, regaling her with past memories, and she listened attentively until, well past midnight, the two little ones were nodding off with sleepiness, and everyone dispersed.
As An Yan was recovering from a serious illness and needed to rest, although the two little ones wanted to cling to her and sleep together, Xu Wanqing did not agree.
Xu Wanqing cautioned Fu Shiyan, "Make sure to keep an eye on Little Five’s condition tonight, and notify us immediately if anything happens. Also, her body is weak..."
She didn’t finish her sentence, but the implication was clear, reminding Fu Shiyan to refrain from being impulsive in any way.
Fu Shiyan smiled warmly, "Mom, rest assured, I’ll take good care of Yanyan."
After closing the bedroom door, Fu Shiyan turned around to see An Yan already changed into cotton pajamas, sitting on the bed.
She cocked her head, "Younger Uncle, coming to bed?"
