Spoiled By My Ex-Fiance's Uncle -
Chapter 36: Seek Clarification from Fu Shiyan
Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Seek Clarification from Fu Shiyan
Han Yang felt that Fu Shiyan was somewhat inconsiderate—the girl had already lowered her stance so much.
At the other end, An Yan looked at her phone that had been hung up on her, feeling infuriated.
She flung her phone onto the bed heavily, then picked it up again to open WeChat, clicked on Fu Shiyan’s profile, and began to madly send dog emojis to vent her frustration and dissatisfaction.
During her flurry of sending dog emojis, she didn’t notice that the message "Message has been sent but was rejected by the recipient" was not showing anymore.
By the time she realized this, she had already sent well over a hundred dog emojis.
An Yan scrambled up from the bed, "He removed me from the blacklist? No way! Oh heavens! I need to retract them quickly!"
She typed out a message: Younger Uncle, I didn’t mean to, it was a slight slip of the hand.
However, the response she received was a glaring red exclamation mark, and it showed: Message has been sent, but was rejected by the recipient.
An Yan raised her hand to her forehead. Those dog emojis suited her right now.
A certain man, forced to see hundreds of dog emojis, had a depth in his eyes tinged with a chill.
He decided to hear what that little swindler had to say, so he took her off the blacklist, only for her response to be hundreds of dog emojis.
Was this her explanation to him?
Fu Shiyan was mortified but laughed, a smile that was strained and sinister, making Han Yang, who was driving, feel fear.
His president was truly infuriated.
An Yan lay despairingly in bed, spreading out her arms and legs, having never felt so stupid.
Just when Fu Shiyan had given her a break, she ended up choking it to death.
Unable to vent her frustration, she made a significant decision in the heat of the moment.
She made a phone call, "Hello, Lawyer Zhang, I would like to discuss the shareholder transfer contract for tomorrow."
At one o’clock in the morning, a black Volkswagen stopped in front of the An family villa.
Sleepy Nanny Zhang, hearing the doorbell, opened the door grumbling.
Rubbing her eyes, she saw An Yan and a strange man at the door, her eyes full of disdain and contempt, her tone unfriendly, "Why have you come back?"
An Yan immediately frowned, "Do I need to report to you when I come back?"
Since returning to the An family, the household staff never treated her as the Miss of the An family, they did not bother hiding their mockery from An Yan.
Nanny Zhang sneered, "Thinking you’re the Miss, what, can’t afford a room with some random man, want to come back and stir things up?"
An Yan raised an eyebrow, "Are you done?"
Nanny Zhang, seeing An Yan’s cold eyes, began to feel a bit apprehensive, "What... what do you want to do?"
An Yan moved her wrist and slapped her across the face with one swift motion. Nanny Zhang fell to the ground, spitting out a tooth.
She turned her head to look at Zhang Yufeng, "Lawyer Zhang, did you record what she just said?"
Zhang Yufeng nodded unhappily; he hadn’t expected An Yan to be so mistreated in her own home, even a servant could trample on her.
To the person moaning on the ground, he said, "I will sue you for defamation."
Only then did Nanny Zhang react, attempting to plead with An Yan not to sue her. After all, although working as a maid in the An family was somewhat distressing, the pay was not insignificant.
An Yan gave her a cold look, her chilling demeanor pinning her firmly to the ground.
Lights upstairs gradually turned on, and An Zaili, Du Xinlan, Yang Suhua, and An Yirou came downstairs.
Seeing An Yan standing with her hands behind her back in the living room, giving them a sly smile, their expressions turned as foul as if they’d fallen into a septic tank.
Yang Suhua, with disheveled hair, exclaimed, "Disaster! What time is it now, and you bring people here to stir up trouble?"
An Yan took a seat on the sofa, elegantly crossing her legs, and tilted her chin up at the four people on the stairs, "The shareholder transfer contract is going into my name today, and I am here to take the contract."
"You! You are doing this on purpose!" Yang Suhua exclaimed in pain, and An Yirou quickly came to support her.
An Zaili burst out in anger, "An Yan, do you even know what time it is?"
An Yan tapped her wristwatch lightly, "Of course, I know. I specifically chose this time to come."
After all, she was upset, and naturally, she wanted some people to keep her company.
Du Xinlan angrily stormed down, "Your father has a heart condition, and your grandmother also gets headaches from poor rest. How can you be so heartless?"
"This family isn’t a place for you to speak!" An Yan glared at her.
Yang Suhua, supported by An Yirou, slowly walked down the stairs, "She has no right to speak, and you think you do?"
An Yan surveyed the surroundings, "This villa belongs to the Xu family; even the original An Corporation belonged to the Xu family. Mr. An Zaili had nothing back then. Don’t tell me he started from scratch because that was all Xu family’s property. I initially only wanted the shares my mother left me, but now I’ve changed my mind. Anything that’s the Xu family’s, I want half!"
She looked at Zhang Yufeng, "Lawyer Zhang, hand the contract to Mr. An."
Zhang Yufeng took out the contract from his briefcase and placed it on the coffee table.
An Zaili picked up the contract and studied its content, "An Corporation’s 25% shares and the dividends from the past 15 years, as well as properties under An Corporation such as Nanyang Hotel, Wanxing Textile Factory, Chaoyang Cold Transport Company..."
He looked at An Yan, "Why do you need so much?"
An Yan said, "It’s already generous of me to leave you half, considering you are my biological father."
An Zaili ground out a few words through clenched teeth, "I disagree!"
Zhang Yufeng chuckled lightly, "Then it’s out of Mr. An’s hands. My client and I will have to see you in court then. I forgot to remind Mr. An that our win rate in such lawsuits is one hundred percent."
An Yan curled her lips into a smirk, "Isn’t An Yirou getting engaged to Fu Chenyu in half a month? I wouldn’t mind having the court serve you the subpoena on that very day."
An Zaili, with a headache and a dark, inky expression, sat down, took up a pen and with a sweep of his hand, signed his name.
He slammed the pen to the ground, where it shattered, "Are you satisfied now? Don’t forget, you are a member of the An Family. When you and Bai Qinghan get married, that betrothal gift will belong to the An Family too!"
An Yan couldn’t be bothered to argue with him anymore, took the contract, and left with Zhang Yufeng.
Zhang Yufeng dropped An Yan off at the entrance of Wancheng Residential Area and then drove away.
An Yan held the documents in her hands, feeling neither joy nor a sense of victory; if money could buy familial affection, she would gladly trade all her wealth for it.
An Yan slept until broad daylight; she tried contacting Fu Shiyan but she was still blocked from his contact list.
She decided to go find Fu Shiyan and set things straight, "You might not like me, but you can’t doubt my character! I, An Yan, am not fickle!"
Of course, An Yan did not go empty-handed; she carried freshly made Jiangnan tea cakes to Fu Corporation Mansion.
The receptionist had seen her before, having accepted the cakes and biscuits she had brought, even though someone snatched them midway, but she was grateful and treated An Yan with great courtesy.
Moreover, since Fu Chenyu had declared her his fiancée and they were to get engaged next month, she was virtually the Young Mistress of the Fu Family.
"Miss An, you’ve arrived."
An Yan smiled and nodded, "Hello."
The receptionist said, "Young Master Fu is lucky to have such a wonderful fiancée who even brings desserts."
Inwardly, An Yan chuckled; this was a misunderstanding.
She did not explain.
If she had mentioned that the desserts were for Fu Shiyan, the receptionist would certainly have turned hostile and kicked her out.
After all, she had seen the receptionist drive away no fewer than thirty to forty women who came to see Fu Shiyan without an appointment.
Some refused to leave and had to be physically removed by four security guards.
An Yan gave a slight nod, "I’ll wait over there on the sofa."
"Of course, please do."
President’s office.
Han Yang stood by the desk, reporting the upcoming schedule, "At eleven o’clock, President Qiu of Huaer Real Estate, Qiu Hua, has invited you to inspect a new property and to have lunch together."
He coughed lightly, "President Qiu is worried you might decline, so he is waiting in the lobby downstairs right now."
"Cancel it."
"Yes," Han Yang coughed lightly, "President Fu, Miss An Yan is waiting downstairs. She said she has something to discuss with you and brought Jiangnan tea cakes, which can’t be bought outside."
Fu Shiyan raised his sharply contoured face, the corners of his lips showing a barely discernible smile, "Are you her assistant? You’re really going out of your way to speak well for her?"
Han Yang looked down at his feet, "No, I just thought it might be nice for President Fu to have some sweets before lunch to whet your appetite."
"Next time, you can go and settle your accounts with HR!"
Han Yang acknowledged this, turning to leave.
"Wait."
Han Yang turned back, "What is it, President Fu?"
Fu Shiyan glanced at his watch, "Get the car ready, we’re going to visit the new property."
Han Yang responded, "Yes."
Didn’t he just decide to cancel?
How suddenly has he changed his mind?
