Chapter 277: Chapter 277 You Want to Avenge Them
An Yan finished tidying up and left the room; she was responsible for preparing Fu Jinqiao’s breakfast, that little lazy cat.
As dawn approached, a fine rain began to fall over the small town, wetting the quiet bluestone road.
Visitors got up early to breathe the fresh air, while groups of children were running, jumping, and frolicking about.
An Yan walked into a bakery specializing in crab roe buns, and upon entering, she saw the same three people from the previous night.
She began to wonder just how many times in her past life she must have looked back, fearing her neck would ache, to have such entanglements with these three in this life.
Bo Leng smiled slightly at An Yan, but she ignored him and walked past.
After last night’s events, Sheng Yu also didn’t dare to openly quarrel with An Yan.
Only Dongzi, with a sinister and treacherous gleam in his eyes, looked as though he couldn’t wait to tear someone apart.
Bo Leng noticed Dongzi’s abnormality, tapped his finger on the table, and said in a lowered voice, "Dongzi, drop your malicious schemes, or get out of Banqiao Town."
Dongzi lowered his head and ate the buns with intense ferocity.
An Yan had intended to eat in the bakery, but upon seeing the three sour faces, she suddenly lost her appetite.
She asked the staff to pack up her order and quickly left.
Dongzi slammed his chopsticks down on the table with a snap, "I’m full, heading back to the inn first."
Bo Leng said in a deep voice, "Dongzi!"
Dongzi turned his head back, "I know, don’t stir up trouble, right? Don’t worry, I’ll get to work soon. I won’t mess up at such a critical moment."
As Dongzi left the bakery, Bo Leng also prepared to stand up, but Sheng Yu suddenly exclaimed, "Brother Leng, I need to go to the restroom. Wait for me. I got a tray of buns for my dad earlier, please ask the staff to pack them." Having said this, she dashed off to the restroom.
Hiding in a stall, she sent a message to Dongzi, "Make it clean, I want to see blood."
Dongzi replied: [No problem.]
Dongzi deleted the messages between them and, slipping his phone into his pocket, strode swiftly away.
An Yan, carrying the bag, walked towards the inn, vaguely sensing someone following her.
Being new to Banqiao Town, the only people she had conflicts with were those three, especially the man with the bleached buzzcut who had looked at her this morning with bloodthirsty intent in his eyes.
If the other party was courting death, why not oblige him?
An Yan noticed a narrow alley to the right about fifty meters ahead.
She walked briskly to the mouth of the alley and turned right into it.
Dongzi sneered upon seeing this, "Heaven really is helping me!"
He jogged to follow her, turned to the right, and was suddenly startled.
An Yan stood in the depths of the alley, waving at him.
Dongzi clicked his tongue against his cheek and, loosening up his wrists, walked over, "Heaven has a road, but you refuse it; hell has no gate, but you come crashing through. Offending Sister Yu, you’re really tired of living!"
An Yan placed the bag on the wall and watched indifferently as the man in front of her got ready.
Dongzi assessed An Yan, "If you let me sleep with you once, and kneel down and kowtow three times to Sister Yu, I’ll go easy on you and you’ll suffer minor injuries. Otherwise, I’ll make sure you’re severely hurt!"
An Yan’s beautiful eyes narrowed as she watched the man’s dirty hand reach out towards her. She grabbed his wrist and twisted it upwards viciously, then raised her foot and kicked hard at his knee.
Because Dongzi’s wrist was still clasped in An Yan’s grip, when he was kicked, he fell heavily to the ground onto his knees, his right arm stretched straight and dislocated.
Dongzi looked up at An Yan with hatred and disbelief in his eyes.
How could he have suspected that such a seemingly gentle woman harbored such skill?
An Yan tilted her head and smiled, a smile that did not reach the eyes, carrying a lazy, unhurried chill that was deeply unsettling.
She slapped the man’s face hard, "How can you be so overconfident, huh?"
Dongzi gasped for breath, this woman was like a Female Asura from hell.
His eyes darted about, his left hand pulled out a spring knife from his trouser pocket, and he stabbed straight at An Yan.
An Yan scoffed lightly, lifting her foot to kick at his wrist; Dongzi released his grip in pain, and the spring knife clattered to the ground.
"Playing really dirty." An Yan looked at the man grimacing in pain, picked up the spring knife from the ground, and pressed it against the man’s carotid artery, "Carotid artery cut, you’ll die within six minutes, and it’s quite painful."
The knife’s tip slid down, and An Yan chuckled lightly, "Heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidney, I can dissect them out intact in less than a minute. Don’t try to outdo me in ruthlessness, I’m not a nice person."
Dongzi trembled all over; this woman was terrifying, with a deep-seated harshness oozing from her bones.
At that moment, Dongzi’s phone received a message.
An Yan felt she would be letting herself down if she didn’t clean up the instigator, so she took out his phone and opened it.
Sister Yu: "How’s it going, any bloodshed?"
An Yan replied: "Sister Yu, come quick, I beat that woman so badly, it’s really exhilarating. I’m making her kneel for you!"
Sister Yu: "Where are you?"
An Yan: "Just in the alleyway about a hundred meters to the right of the bun shop."
Sister Yu: "I’m on my way."
Sheng Yu exited the cubicle, adjusted herself in the mirror, sniffed her scent to make sure all was well, then left the restroom.
Bo Leng sat in his seat, impatient, watching people come and go; he stood up, grabbed his bag, and walked out.
Sheng Yu quickly followed.
After exiting the bun shop, Bo Leng headed toward the inn, with Sheng Yu keeping up, "Brother Leng, I want to buy some pastries to eat, you go back first." Saying this, she turned and walked away quickly.
Bo Leng looked back at her retreating figure, his eyes narrowed, then he followed.
Sheng Yu followed Dongzi’s instructions and saw someone lying with their back to the entrance of the alley deep inside.
She frowned and walked quickly forward only to find that it was Dongzi.
She ran over and turned him around; Dongzi’s mouth was stuffed with a stinky sock, reeking so severely it almost made her eyes roll back in disgust.
Sheng Yu pinched the edge of the sock and pulled, and finally, Dongzi could catch his breath.
"What happened? Why are you lying here, and where’s that woman?"
Dongzi spoke, his mouth reeking foully, "That woman’s too fierce. She beat me until my arm dislocated and I couldn’t move it, then used my phone to message you. She made me take off my sock and stuff it in my mouth, or else she would gouge out my kidneys!"
Sheng Yu was furious to the core, "Where is she?"
"I’m right here." An Yan stood in the shadows on the right side of the deep part of the alley.
Sheng Yu strode toward her, "Today I must teach you a lesson."
"Sheng Yu!" The man’s icy voice sounded behind her.
Sheng Yu glanced back at Bo Leng striding toward her; thinking he was there to stop her, she felt her anger flare up.
She ran towards An Yan, and as she got close, her raised hand swung toward her.
Just as Bo Leng reached out to stop her, An Yan delivered a flying kick to Sheng Yu’s chest, sending her flying several meters away.
Sheng Yu clutched her chest, coughing violently, "Brother Leng, Brother Leng, she kicked me, Dongzi has been beaten to a cripple by her!"
Bo Leng’s chest heaved with restrained anger; he looked at Dongzi on the ground, at Sheng Yu who had been kicked away, then at An Yan.
Just as he was about to speak, he heard An Yan say, "Do you want to avenge them?"
