Chapter 259: Su Yue Injured

Chapter 259: Chapter 259: Su Yue Injured

A muffled thud sounded.

Su Yue’s head throbbed with intense pain; her vision darkened, and the entire world began to turn chaotic.

She instinctively clutched at her head, and blood instantly seeped through her fingers.

The man swung at An Yan again, but Su Yue grabbed onto his arm desperately.

Weak sounds continuously came out of her mouth, "Baby Yan, Baby Yan..."

Upon seeing this, the man shook off Su Yue and raised his hand to strike An Yan.

An Yan, who had already stood up by leaning on the table, grabbed a porcelain plate and cracked it against the edge, exposing a sharp rim. She swung it, slicing the man’s face, which was immediately stained with blood.

The man cried out in pain, his eyes filled with rage; he had not expected a pregnant woman to be so aggressive.

He lifted a rock to continue his attack on An Yan, but his wrist was seized and broken in a swift motion; the rock fell to the ground with a thud.

Fu Shiyan’s eyes were filled with a bloodthirsty desire to kill as he brutally kicked the back of the man’s knees, causing him to collapse onto the ground with a painful grunt.

He looked at An Yan, "How are you?"

An Yan replied, "I’m fine."

Only then did Shiyan’s heart settle. He tore off the man’s cap and mask, revealing that half of the man’s face up to his mouth was slashed, flesh turned inside out.

It was the face of a stranger.

He grabbed the man’s hair, dragged him aside, threw him to the ground, and furiously pummeled him with his fists.

"Who sent you?"

The man stubbornly remained silent.

Fu Shiyan’s fists kept pounding down; the sound of flesh being hit followed one after another.

Meanwhile, due to the broad sweeping motion of her arm, An Yan had strained the right side of her body, and now, a slight pain was emanating from there.

She disregarded her discomfort and rushed to check on Su Yue.

Seeing her best friend covered in blood, unconscious, An Yan’s voice trembled as she held back the sourness at the tip of her nose, "Ayan, stop hitting him. We need to get Yueyue to the hospital. Tie that man up and wait for the police to deal with him."

Fu Shiyan looked at the man curled up on the ground from the beating; he kicked him in the ribs.

The man couldn’t move, seemingly having multiple fractures, and could only moan in pain.

Fu Shiyan’s eyes were fierce, covered in an intimidating frost, as he turned to the arriving manager, "Have you called the police?"

The manager nodded frantically, "Called, called."

"Tie him up and wait for the police."

"Understood."

Fu Shiyan helped An Yan stand, scanning her nervously, "Are you really okay?"

An Yan nodded, "I’m fine. Hurry and take Yueyue to the hospital; she might have a brain injury."

Fu Shiyan nodded slightly, then lifted Su Yue horizontally, "You call Si Heng."

"Okay."

Fu Shiyan carried Su Yue to the back seat of the car while An Yan, being less mobile, took the passenger seat.

The car sped toward the hospital.

During the drive, An Yan called Si Heng to prepare the operating room.

What was usually a half-hour drive, Shiyan completed in just fifteen minutes.

The car arrived at the hospital entrance, and Si Heng opened the rear door, carrying Su Yue onto a gurney and rushing straight to the operating room.

Fu Shiyan supported An Yan as they followed.

Watching the metal doors of the operating room close, An Yan leaned against the wall, finally catching her breath.

A strings of pain spread from her side, as the babies in her womb began to stir restlessly. Just as An Yan reached to soothe them, she remembered her hands were covered in blood.

She looked at Shiyan, "I’m going to the restroom to wash my hands."

Shiyan nodded, "Okay."

An Yan entered the restroom, washed her hands clean, and then splashed some water on her face.

Resting her hands on the sink, she reflected on everything that had just happened.

It was clear that the attackers had specifically targeted her and Su Yue, with a very definite purpose.

They had no shortage of enemies, one of which had emerged recently.

An Yan’s eyes were alight with flames, her fists clenched tight. If it really was that person, she was determined to make them pay a heavy price.

The pain in her abdomen seemed to slowly fade, and An Yan straightened up and walked out.

Fu Shiyan approached her, asking with concern, "Are you really alright? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"

An Yan felt it was better to let him know so that he wouldn’t worry.

Just as she was about to speak, Fu Shiyan’s phone screen lit up.

A call from Xiao.

An Yan knew that Xiao must have something important to discuss; she didn’t want to distract Fu Shiyan. "I’m fine, you should take the call."

Fu Shiyan caressed her hair and answered the call, "Speak."

"Zero, Gu Chengming has appeared in the S country. It looks like he’s preparing to go to Zero Organization to replace you."

Fu Shiyan snorted coldly, "Wishful thinking."

"Right now, the organization members are all waiting for you to return."

Fu Shiyan glanced at An Yan and turned away, "I can’t leave now, find someone to hold him off."

"Zero, the situation is a bit complicated. Gu Chengming seems to have teamed up with other organizations. Without you, the members dare not make any decisions."

Fu Shiyan pressed his temples, "Stabilize the situation first, then report back depending on the circumstances."

"Yes."

Fu Shiyan turned back, a smile on his lips, "No big deal."

An Yan took his hand, "Gu Chengming has shown up, hasn’t he?"

As clever as she was, she could always spot clues in the details.

Fu Shiyan sighed lightly, "Right now, everything revolves around you."

"Ayan, Gu Chengming is extremely dangerous and unscrupulous. Go deal with him. A month should be enough. The kids and I will wait for you to come back."

Fu Shiyan furrowed his brows, "No, you could go into labor at any moment."

An Yan raised her hand to pinch his cheek, "How could that be possible, there’s not the slightest sign of childbirth. Zero Organization needs you, and I don’t want anything to happen to the brothers who have fought side by side with you."

She placed his hand on her protruding belly, "Ayan, we’ll wait together for your return. When they’re born, the first person they want to see is their dad."

Fu Shiyan felt weighted down with emotion as he pulled her into a side embrace.

He kissed An Yan’s hair and said, "I’ll go after Su Yue’s surgery is done and the attackers have been dealt with."

An Yan whispered an agreement.

The two returned to the operating room, taking a seat on the bench to wait.

Half an hour later, the metal door opened and Si Heng walked out with a grave expression.

Supported by Fu Shiyan, An Yan stood up, "How did it go?"

Si Heng’s eyes were red, his voice choked, "There’s bleeding in 20 percent of the brain, and the intracranial pressure won’t decrease..."

An Yan interrupted him, "I’ll assist in the surgery."

Si Heng’s eyes widened in disbelief, "What?"

"I’m Y."

Si Heng was so surprised he was lost for words.

"Knowing that Yueyue was seriously injured, I didn’t expect it to be this severe. Get the surgical attire ready; I’m going into the OR." An Yan, seeing the still stunned look on Si Heng’s face, slapped his arm lightly, "Have you gone daft?"

Si Heng nodded then shook his head, his voice filled with joy, "Then there’s hope for Yueyue! I can’t believe you’re my idol!"

"There’s a lot you didn’t expect. Hurry up."

Si Heng nodded and hurriedly went to swipe the access card.

An Yan followed him quickly.

Suddenly, she paused, looking back at Fu Shiyan, "Don’t worry, I’m fine. Hopefully, by the time we come out, we’ll know who is behind this."

Fu Shiyan nodded slightly, "Okay."
