Spoiled By My Ex-Fiance's Uncle
Chapter 214 The Meaning of AY

Chapter 214: Chapter 214 The Meaning of AY

Fu Shiyan quickly took out a small box from the bedside cabinet.

"It’s here. The day I saw this gift, you had already left. I tragically put it on my ring finger by myself."

Fu Shiyan placed the ring in An Yan’s hand, "It’s your turn to put it on me."

An Yan sat up, "Did you see the engraving inside the ring?"

Fu Shiyan nodded, "AY, which means An Yan."

"There’s another meaning. AY, stands for both An Yan and Ayan."

Fu Shiyan was taken aback, "So these two letters represent you and me. Thank you, Yanyan."

An Yan cleared his throat, "Ms. Fu Shiyan, would you marry Mr. An Yan?"

Fu Shiyan held out her hand, "It would be an honor."

An Yan slowly placed the ring on the man’s ring finger, "There, now the groom may kiss the bride."

Just as she leaned in, the man’s kiss fell upon her.

After a long while, Fu Shiyan finally let go of her, "Tomorrow I’ll start preparing for the wedding, otherwise your belly won’t be able to wait."

"Getting married requires trying on wedding dresses, ordering gowns, customizing jewelry, taking wedding photos, at least two months of preparation. By that time I would be five months in, the twins’ belly won’t be small, let’s talk after giving birth."

"Having the wedding while carrying the baby?"

An Yan shrugged, "That’s not impossible."

Fu Shiyan gently caressed her face, "Whatever you say."

An Yan nestled in his arms, "I love you."

Fu Shiyan said softly, "I love you too, and the day you can hear, I will whisper it in your ear every day, I love you."

The next day, Fu Shiyan took An Yan on a private plane to Xiangcheng, returning to the Bi Family.

There was still some unmelted snow in front of the Siheyuan.

After the two got out of the car, Fu Shiyan carefully supported An Yan as they walked inside.

Lu Yun was fetching water, saw the arrivals, let go of the handle she was holding, and quickly ran over.

"Yan!"

"Grandma, be careful," An Yan smiled, her eyes twinkling, "Don’t get too excited."

Lu Yun hugged An Yan, then looking at her, said, "Oh, my dear granddaughter, grandma has missed you so much."

"Sorry, grandma, I didn’t come here immediately upon returning."

"What are you apologizing for, silly child, after all, your parents have been waiting for you for so long." Lu Yun wiped her tears, "How are you feeling physically?"

An Yan twirled around, "Look, I’ve recovered very well except for not being able to hear, everything else is quite fine."

Lu Yun quickly supported her, "Okay, don’t fall, you still have the baby in your belly."

"Grandma, I’m not that delicate."

Lu Yun nodded, "Our Yan has always been strong, but still, you need to be careful."

An Yan nodded, "I understand, grandma. Where are grandpa, brother, and Bi Chong?"

"Your grandpa and brother are playing chess, Bi Chong went to the river to fish."

"Brother has recovered?"

Lu Yun nodded, "He’s recovered quite well, but his body has been tormented, full recovery will take some time."

She looked at Fu Shiyan and An Yan, "Let’s go inside."

They crossed the yard and entered the house.

Bi Mang and Bi Zhan were sitting opposite each other at the square table, deeply engrossed in their game of chess.

Hearing footsteps, they looked up.

An Yan smiled, "Grandpa, brother!"

Bi Zhan stood up, his eyes reddening, "Yan."

An Yan walked over and hugged him, "Brother, it’s so good to see you again."

Bi Zhan, about the same height as Fu Shiyan, was crying like a child. He looked at An Yan, "I thought I would never see you again. These years have been so hard on you."

"Not hard. If I had known earlier that you were alive and found you sooner, you wouldn’t have suffered so much."

Bi Zhan wiped the tears from her face, "Stop crying, it’s not good for the baby."

An Yan nodded, "It’s just too overwhelming."

She looked at Bi Zhan’s restored fingers, "They reattached quite well, but the preservation time was a bit too long, so they can’t be fully restored."

Bi Zhan smiled, "It doesn’t matter, I am already very satisfied."

He looked at Fu Shiyan, "Thank you for protecting Yan, and thank you for agreeing to trade yourself for me, and for arranging for my fingers to be reattached immediately."

"It’s what I should have done." Fu Shiyan smiled lightly, "Yanyan’s family is my family."

"Oh, there shouldn’t be so much that one should have to do!" Bi Mang exclaimed, "It’s rare to find someone willing to trade their life for another’s. Shiyan, sit."

Lu Yun quickly added, "Sit down and talk, I will wash some fruit for you."

The group sat down.

Bi Mang looked at Fu Shiyan, "Grandpa wants to thank you first, thank you for exposing your identity to rescue Yan, and thank you for trading for Bi Zhan, giving him a chance to live."

Fu Shiyan said, "If we’re talking about thanks, I should be thanking you. If it weren’t for you, there would be no An Yan today, nor would there be this connection between us. So if someone should be thanking, it’s me."

An Yan looked at the three of them, "You three stop thanking each other. Watching you talk is making my eyes tired."

The three of them laughed.

Bi Mang glared at An Yan, "While Shiyan and I are talking, you don’t need to monitor what I say."

An Yan pouted.

Bi Mang turned to Fu Shiyan and said, "The two of you have gone around in circles for three years and finally came together despite many hurdles. So, I hope that in the future you can trust each other more, cherish and protect each other more.

Do not always assume you’re doing what’s best for the other by hiding things; that only leads to suspicion in the end.

Your grandmother and I have been together for many years and have gone through our share of ups and downs. The lesson I’ve learned is honesty.

Only with that can a marriage last."

Fu Shiyan and An Yan said in unison, "Got it, Grandpa."

Bi Mang scoffed, "Aren’t your eyes tired? Why are you still watching?"

An Yan smiled, "I’m just worried that you, little old man, might be talking behind my back."

Bi Mang laughed heartily, "You child."

The four of them sat around chatting for a long while, finishing all the fruit that Lu Yun had washed.

An Yan, noticing the evening approaching, said, "Did Bi Chong go fishing or did the fish scare him away? Let’s go check on him."

Bi Zhan said, "I’ll go with you."

Fu Shiyan stood and positioned himself behind Bi Zhan’s wheelchair, "I’ll push you there."

Bi Zhan smiled, "Thank you."

The trio walked out of the courtyard, heading towards the Xiang River, two kilometers away.

Bi Zhan asked, "Is Gu Chengming dead?"

Fu Shiyan replied, "No, so the danger isn’t completely gone. I suspect he won’t show up soon, but he’ll eventually bring the transfer documents and stamp to the Zero Organization."

Bi Zhan frowned, "What should we do?"

"Don’t worry, he won’t succeed."

Seeing Fu Shiyan was confident, Bi Zhan was also reassured.

He turned back and said, "There are a lot of well-trained people near the courtyard; you sent them, right?"

Fu Shiyan nodded, "Yes. Each of these people can take on ten, skilled as they are. With them around, Yanyan and I feel a bit safer."

Bi Zhan, "I really appreciate it."

Fu Shiyan smiled lightly, "No need for thanks within the family."

"Alright."

Twenty minutes later, the three arrived at the riverbank and saw Bi Chong sitting on a small stool, watching the float in the river intently.

An Yan shouted, "Bi Chong!"

Bi Chong turned around sharply, eyes full of reproach. He stood up and stormed over, "An Yan, you went to S country without taking me, and when you were adrift in C country you didn’t contact me! Do you still consider me your brother?"

An Yan rubbed his head, "Sorry."

Bi Chong shrugged off her hand, "I don’t want you as my sister anymore!"

Fu Shiyan explained, "Yanyan was thinking of your safety."

Bi Chong snorted, "And you, contacting Mu Shaoze but not me about going to C country."

Fu Shiyan thought about how Bi Chong was Bi Mang’s only grandson; he couldn’t let him take risks anymore.

However, he simply said softly, "I’m sorry."

Bi Chong felt like he was punching cotton, frustrated, he turned back and sat down on the stool by the river.

An Yan walked over and peered into the white bucket beside him, "Oh, not a single fish caught. Are we fishing for air?"

Bi Chong snorted, "The fish are all males today."

An Yan laughed, "Really? Opposites attract, maybe you should have worn a skirt to fish."

Bi Chong glared at her, she was joking about him cross-dressing.

He tilted his chin up, "Then you do it."

An Yan clicked her tongue, "Fine, I’ll do it."

After a while, An Yan hadn’t caught a single fish either.

Fu Shiyan took the fishing rod, "Let me try."

Soon, he hooked a fish.

An Yan concluded, "Turns out the fish is gay!"

Bi Chong burst out laughing, "You’re really ridiculous!"

An Yan wrapped her arm around his neck, "Not mad anymore? Then call me sister."

Bi Chong slightly stooped to match her height, "No, still upset."

An Yan smiled, "You’re going to be an uncle!"

Bi Chong hesitated, just about to comply, then he heard An Yan threateningly say, "If you don’t call, I’ll make my kid get a haircut during the Lunar New Year."

Bi Chong, "... a haircut in the New Year means death to the uncle?"

An Yan tapped his forehead with her finger, "Good, you understand!"

That evening, the family gathered around the dinner table, enjoying the delicious meal prepared by Lu Yun and the only fish that was caught, in a harmonious atmosphere.

Just then, Fu Shiyan’s phone buzzed loudly.

He saw that it was a call from Director Li and answered it.

The voice on the other end said, "President Fu, An Zaili was killed by the suspect who previously attacked Mrs. Mu."
