Spoiled By My Ex-Fiance's Uncle
Chapter 205: Arson

Chapter 205: Chapter 205: Arson

"Want to kill me?" Gu Chengming squeezed An Yan’s wrist, his eyes narrowing as he stared at her.

An Yan’s eyes filled with boundless hatred, "I wish I could tear you apart limb from limb, cut you into pieces!"

Gu Chengming laughed instead of getting angry, "Then you’ll be disappointed, no, you should say despair. The person who will die isn’t me. Guess where and how Fu Shiyan is right now?"

"What have you done to him?"

Gu Chengming sneered, "Right now, he is enduring an electric shock torture in place of Bi Zhan. If the voltage is increased, do you think he could become an idiot or even, say, die?"

Last night, Fu Shiyan had told An Yan that he would meet with Gu Chengming to sign the transfer document and exchange seals to release Bi Zhan.

An Yan had thought that Gu Chengming would definitely threaten him to stay and endure physical pain, but she wouldn’t let him do that.

However, Fu Shiyan had repeatedly assured her that he would definitely leave, but it turned out he had not managed to escape.

The intense pain eroded her internal organs; An Yan struggled to breathe, moist tears sliding down her cheeks.

She raised her leg to kick the man’s lower abdomen but Gu Chengming caught her leg, "You’re so weak and pregnant, trying to attack me is just futile. I’ll be very gentle with you, as long as you behave."

Gu Chengming twisted her arms behind her back, pulling out the silver needle from her fingertips and tossing it to the ground.

He pushed An Yan to the bed, pinned her down, and pressed his legs onto her calves, "Let’s try this position."

Although An Yan couldn’t hear what he was saying, she knew what he was about to do next.

She turned her head away, filled with humiliation, "Gu Chengming, you will not die a good death!"

Gu Chengming held her wrist with one hand, and with the other hand, he pulled out his tie to bind her hands, then ripped open his shirt, the buttons bouncing onto the bed.

He leaned down to kiss An Yan when suddenly the lights in the room went out.

Gu Chengming scanned the surroundings cautiously and jumped out of bed.

He hid in the bathroom and called his assistant, "What’s going on?"

"The manor has lost power. We have already sent someone to check and are preparing to start the backup generator."

Gu Chengming was a bit irritated, "Make sure someone guards the villa closely."

He walked out of the bathroom, and using the moonlight, he looked towards the bed, but An Yan was gone.

He turned around and saw that the door was open.

"Damn it!" Gu Chengming rushed out.

Peering through the gap, An Yan saw the man run out, and she waited a good while before coming out from behind the curtains.

She was surprised by the sudden blackout, but she vaguely had some guesses.

Those disobedient brothers still came after all.

She crouched in front of the bedside table, turned around, stretched her hand to open the drawer, and took out scissors to cut the tie.

Just now, while Gu Chengming was making the call, she had opened the door and hidden behind the curtains.

Running outside now would be walking right into a trap, no way to escape.

The outside was full of Gu Chengming’s men; she had no chance at all.

She took the lighter she had prepared from the corner, lit the curtains and sheets.

Watching the fire spread quickly, An Yan hurriedly left and set another room on fire.

Half a day had passed, and the backup generator still hadn’t started; it seemed it was also damaged.

She didn’t head downstairs but went to the west side where the servants’ rooms were located.

The house’s servants shared rooms, two per room. When An Yan slipped in, two servants were shivering on the bed.

A flashlight on the table cast a warm yellow light, illuminating the room.

An Yan hushed them, "Don’t be nervous."

One of the servants suddenly jumped up, "Someone! Miss Mu is here!"

An Yan read her lips and immediately pulled her down to the floor.

Her body was weak, not as strong as before to handle a powerful man, but she was more than capable of handling another woman.

The servant struggled to get up and tried to pounce again.

An Yan raised her hand and delivered a slap, knocking her to the ground, "Shut up!"

The servant, covering his face, clenched his teeth and said, "The young master treated you so well, why did you still betray him? Even Qingqing, that bitch who helped you escape this morning, wasn’t executed."

An Yan looked at the servant’s ferocious face, "You hate us that much? So, you snitched this morning?"

"Yes, so what! Ah..."

An Yan bent down and punched her in the face, "You and Gu Chengming, that bastard, are really a perfect match!"

The servant tried to say something else, but An Yan kept punching her in the face, "Here’s a ’pretty punch’ for you, so you match Gu Chengming even better!"

The person on the ground was knocked unconscious, and only then did An Yan stop. She looked at another person on the bed, "What about you?"

That person shook their head, "It has nothing to do with me, she was the one who snitched."

An Yan didn’t pursue further, she grabbed the flashlight from the table, turned it off, pushed the door open a crack, and saw everyone running towards the east side, all going to put out the fire.

She quickly slipped out, went downstairs, and turned into the basement.

When she shone the flashlight on Zhou Ziqiao and Qingqing, they were huddling in the corner, embracing and crying.

"Miss Zhou, Qingqing?"

At the sound, their crying suddenly stopped.

Zhou Ziqiao rolled up and rushed over to embrace An Yan, "Ying ying ying, you actually escaped."

An Yan wanted to touch her face, but, thinking of her swollen appearance, she instead rubbed her head, "I’m sorry for dragging you into this."

Zhou Ziqiao sniffled, "For the greater good, I think I was pretty brave."

Qingqing chuckled, "Miss Zhou, didn’t you just admit you were actually quite cowardly?"

Zhou Ziqiao huffed, "Stop exposing my flaws!"

Laughing, Qingqing nodded in agreement and stepped forward, "Are you still upset about me hiding the engagement party from you?"

An Yan held her hand, "Not upset, you had no choice. You helped me today, and I am very grateful. If you need help in the future, I will do everything I can."

Qingqing nodded, "Just let me stay with you."

Upon hearing this, Zhou Ziqiao quickly said, "I want to follow you too."

An Yan chuckled lightly, "Alright. Let’s get out of here first."

The three left the basement, sticking to the walls, keeping a low profile.

By then, the mansion had already turned into complete chaos.

Qingqing, more familiar with the layout, led them to the back door.

The door had just opened when a cold, pitch-black gun barrel pressed against Qingqing’s forehead.

"You really played me for a fool, An Yan," Gu Chengming pulled off the safety.

An Yan’s heart tightened instantly, and she yanked Qingqing behind her, "Don’t hurt them. Let one person be responsible for their own actions."

Gu Chengming pressed the gun against her forehead, "Really loyal, but I say no!"

The back door was too dim for An Yan to see his lips move.

But when she saw Gu Chengming’s gun suddenly point towards Qingqing behind her, An Yan turned on his hand with the flashlight and stabbed a silver needle into his wrist.

Gu Chengming’s entire arm went numb, and the gun fell to the ground.

His other hand gripped An Yan’s neck and he squeezed fiercely.

An Yan continued to hit his head with the flashlight while Zhou Ziqiao and Qingqing rushed up and scratched his face.

Gu Chengming shoved hard, and the two women fell to the ground.

Worried that the gun on the ground would be picked up, he simply kicked it away.

An Yan kicked back, aiming for his most vulnerable spot.

Gu Chengming clutched his legs and knelt on the ground in an awkward position.

An Yan pulled up Zhou Ziqiao and Qingqing and ran out.

Outside was the backyard, a vast sea of sunflowers.

Just past this sea of flowers was the manor’s back gate.

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out from behind them.
