Spoiled By My Ex-Fiance's Uncle
Chapter 193: Where Are You?

Chapter 193: Chapter 193: Where Are You?

The night sea was tumultuous, with the cargo ship heading into the deep, bobbing up and down.

The pitch darkness of the night was cleaved by streaks of lightning, and the thunderous roars frightened the hearts of those who heard them.

An Yan glanced at the button on the control panel, "I’ll count to three, and if you don’t let him go, I’ll kill you right here."

Michael laughed wickedly, "Sure, I’ll release him. But are you certain you can get away?"

"Cut the crap, send him over to the ship and leave."

Michael picked up the intercom, "Clear out, I’m releasing the man from the mast."

The mercenaries on deck all heightened their alertness, aiming their heavy weapons at the cockpit.

An Yan tilted her chin up, "Get out."

Michael, with a bleeding hand, said, "Ouch, that really hurts. Won’t you bandage me up? If I die, you two will have no chance of escaping."

An Yan fired directly at his other wrist.

Michael cursed, "Fuck! If I die, you’re dead too!"

An Yan grabbed the back of his collar, "I never thought of leaving here alive when I came."

She stood behind Michael, with the dark barrel of the gun pressed against his temple, forcing him to stand on the driving deck, "Have them put the man on the lifeboat, hurry up, or I’ll cripple your legs."

Michael ordered his men to do so.

The mercenaries placed Leng Feng on the lifeboat, which was lowered to the sea’s surface, floating on the vast ocean.

Michael sneered, "You’ve got a strong sense of loyalty. But is it worth it for a dying man?"

An Yan couldn’t be bothered to waste words with him; she just wanted to watch the lifeboat drift away, then she’d put an end to this bastard with a single shot.

Taking advantage of An Yan’s focus on the lifeboat, Michael suddenly jumped off the deck, landing heavily on the lifeboat’s top layer, where his mercenaries pulled him to safety.

"Kill them! Leave none alive!"

Gunfire erupted alongside the thunder, sounding a deafening noise.

An Yan dove into the cockpit to steer, and several mercenaries, failing to maintain balance, were thrown into the sea.

And with a few large waves, they were gone.

Michael never expected to be in a passive state, "Get up there, all of you, kill her! And that lifeboat, shoot it, kill him!"

An Yan maneuvered the steering wheel, tossing another batch of mercenaries into the sea.

A few agile mercenaries rushed her.

An Yan didn’t hesitate to shoot.

Batch after batch fell, only for more to surge forth.

Bullets were limited, and there were too many people; she could only jump out of the cockpit’s small window and left a grenade behind in the cockpit.

As she jumped, several mercenaries rushed in, just as the grenade exploded.

A thick scent of blood permeated the air.

Michael roared, "Riddle her with bullets!"

An Yan flicked her toes, seizing a machine gun in her hands, and without blinking, she sprayed bullets at the mercenaries shooting at the lifeboat.

An excruciating pain came; her right shoulder had been shot.

She took cover behind a barricade, listening to the approaching gunfire.

An Yan knew there weren’t many bullets left in her gun.

She closed her eyes and smiled, "Goodbye, Ayan."

She rose suddenly, expending her last bullets on the mercenaries without missing a shot.

She swung the gunstock at the side of an adversary’s head, snatched his gun, and continued firing.

Pains shot through her chest, abdomen, and arms.

A mouthful of blood gushed from An Yan, but she showed not a hint of retreat.

With no bullets left, she drew her dagger for close-quarters combat.

With a thunderous blast, the lifeboat exploded.

An Yan, her eyes bloodshot, quickly slit several throats in succession, then dove into the sea, swimming towards the lifeboat.

Michael bellowed, "I want to see her corpse!"

The mercenaries fired their machine guns at the sea’s surface.

Wounded and having lost a lot of blood, An Yan couldn’t muster much strength anymore.

Bullets grazed past her face; she grabbed the body of a mercenary to shield herself as bullets fired into the sea hit the corpse instead.

An Yan felt her eyelids were so heavy, and the blood in her body was constantly flowing out.

She was so tired.

She slowly closed her eyes.

Because the cockpit had been destroyed, the cargo ship was pitch-dark.

Michael ordered people to find flashlights, "Find them for me, alive or dead!"

He was frightened, as this damned woman had been hunting him for two years.

Had he not captured her companion, she would never have fallen into his hands.

He had to make sure she was thoroughly dead so he could sleep peacefully.

A report came in, "There are two speedboats approaching."

Michael tensed up, "No matter who it is, shoot to kill without question!"

More than twenty mercenaries were shooting from the railings of the cargo ship.

Xiao and Bi Chong were driving the speedboats, circling around the cargo ship.

The mercenaries’ fire was quickly divided.

Fu Shiyan held a rocket launcher, his finger hooked the trigger, and with a whoosh, the rocket was launched and then boom, flames shot up into the sky.

The remaining men opened fire on the mercenaries on the cargo ship.

Soon, more than ten mercenaries on one side were all wiped out.

The other side was also annihilated.

The cargo ship began taking on water and started to sink.

Michael began to panic, as he was the only person left on the ship, surrounded by corpses.

When he turned around, he saw seven men climbing over the railing.

Fu Shiyan walked towards him step by step, "Where is Mo?"

A bolt of lightning split the sky, illuminating the man’s face.

Michael looked at him in horror, "Who are you?"

Fu Shiyan’s stern face stared at him coldly and said, "Night."

Michael instinctively backed away, "Night? Aren’t you dead?"

"What a pity, you won’t get to see the day I die," Fu Shiyan pressed the gun’s muzzle to his forehead, "Where is Mo?"

Michael laughed loudly, "Her? She’s already buried at sea! She got shot so many times, there’s no way she’ll survive!"

Fu Shiyan didn’t give him another chance to speak.

Several gunshots rang out, and Michael fell into a pool of blood, his body riddled with bullets.

Fu Shiyan looked at the others, "You search the cargo ship for Mo, I... I’ll search the sea surface."

He climbed over the railing and jumped back onto the speedboat, beginning his search for An Yan’s figure.

He kept calling An Yan’s name, his face wet, unable to tell if it was tears or rainwater.

"Yanyan, I beg you, respond to me."

"Yanyan, I’m here, Ayan is here."

"Yanyan, where are you? Answer me."

...

Fu Shiyan kept calling out for An Yan, but the only response was the cold slap of the sea against the hull.

After searching the cargo ship to no avail, the rest also started searching the sea surface.

The rain grew heavier, making it difficult to keep one’s eyes open.

Not a single person spoke of giving up; they all kept searching.

Leng Feng was found by Wolf and Leopard; they fell silent after seeing their former comrade turned into a cold corpse.

What they feared even more was finding An Yan’s corpse.

The downpour continued unabated, making the search extremely difficult.

The cargo ship gradually sank, and bodies were scattered all over the sea surface.

Fu Shiyan looked across the boundless sea with a flashlight in hand, both dreading and hoping to see An Yan appear.

He had never felt such fear before.

The cold, bone-chilling seawater numbed people’s nerves; a woman was floating on the sea surface, clinging to a broken plank of wood.
