Chapter 184 Waiting for Your Return
Chapter 184: Chapter 184 Waiting for Your Return
An Yan looked up at him, "Mr. Fu, whether you believe me now or not doesn’t matter to me anymore."
"You don’t even want to explain?"
An Yan calmly looked at him, "I have no desire to explain anything to you. Just sign the divorce agreement, and the divorce certificate will be processed quickly. After that, you go your own way, and I’ll go mine."
"So eager to leave?" Fu Shiyan said coldly with a sneer.
Listening to the man’s scornful voice, An Yan’s heart still ached, "Yes."
Fu Shiyan’s large hand clamped her chin, "You used to profess your love for me. Has your love shifted so quickly? Hmm?"
An Yan’s nose tingled, and she tried to pull his hand away, but she couldn’t.
Fu Shiyan’s other hand directly clutched the back of her head, forcefully pressing down on her lips.
A mix of sweet and metallic tastes filled their mouths, unclear whether it was his or hers.
An Yan gave up resisting, allowing him to freely suck on her lips.
After a long while, Fu Shiyan’s forehead rested against hers, "Is this how you have been with him?"
His warm hand slipped under her sweater, grasping, "And this?"
An Yan remained silent, just silently watching him.
Fu Shiyan had seen the mischievous her, the clingy obedient her, the strong and domineering her, but never this cold and quiet her.
This version of her made him uneasy.
He realized that this was an insult to An Yan.
He withdrew his hand, somewhat at a loss, and took hers, "Yanyan, I’m sorry, I..."
"Are you satisfied now? If you are, go back and sign. We’ll meet at the Civil Affairs Bureau at eight o’clock tomorrow morning." An Yan withdrew her hand and brushed past him.
The security door closed with a loud noise, and the voice-controlled light above lit up once again, reminiscent of that night months ago in the Honor Club staircase.
Only this time, it was An Yan who left, not Fu Shiyan.
He knew An Yan’s decisiveness; if he didn’t hold her back now, they would become strangers.
He chased after her, only to see the elevator doors closing and An Yan’s indifferent face.
He looked at the other elevator still on the nineteenth floor, then dashed into the stairwell, desperately running down.
Finally reaching the ground floor, he rushed out only to discover An Yan was no longer in the lobby.
He ran outside and stood on the hospital’s front steps, watching as An Yan got into Mu Boyan’s car and drove away.
In that moment, his heart felt as if it was being cut, and he had never felt winter could be so cold.
In the car, An Yan pulled her scarf up high, burying her head low, much like a turtle shrinking into its shell.
"If you want to cry, go ahead. I’m here with you," Mu Boyan kept his eyes on the road, his hands tightly gripping the steering wheel.
An Yan smiled, "I don’t feel like crying."
"Whatever you feel like doing, I won’t laugh at you," he said.
An Yan hummed softly, "I know."
At that moment, her phone buzzed.
An Yan took it out and quickly answered.
"Mo, we’ve found Michael’s hideout."
"Send me the location; I’ll be there soon. Don’t act rashly. Contact me if something happens."
"Okay."
An Yan looked at Mu Boyan, "I need to get back to the villa quickly."
"Okay," Mu Boyan accelerated.
Soon, the car stopped in front of the villa.
An Yan said, "I need to make a long trip, something very important to do."
"Is it dangerous?" Mu Boyan’s expression was grave.
"Not dangerous. You know I’m very interested in some artifacts. It just so happens that a porcelain from the Tang Dynasty was unearthed, and I heard that some tomb raiders are eyeing it too, so I want to go take a look,"
"The tomb raiders are ruthless and cold-hearted. I’ll accompany you,"
"Don’t worry. I have a team. They are very experienced." An Yan had a lot to say, but didn’t know how to start. She smiled, "I’ll try my best to come back before the New Year."
Mu Boyan took the girl’s small hand. "Little Five, dad, mom, and your brothers are all waiting for you to come back."
"Okay." An Yan’s eyes suddenly reddened, but she was afraid the other person would notice something; she quickly pushed the door open, disembarked, wiped her tears, and turned around.
"Second brother, don’t worry. I will definitely come back before the New Year to reunite with you all."
Mu Boyan nodded.
"Go back. I’ll watch your car leave, then I’ll go in."
Mu Boyan knew the girl didn’t want anyone to know where she was going. After a moment, he said, "Make sure to call if there’s anything."
"I know," An Yan smiled sweetly. "Second brother, goodbye!"
Mu Boyan softly said goodbye and started the car to leave.
Snowflakes fell thickly. An Yan watched the car disappearing into the snowy scene before she turned to enter the villa.
She packed some clothes, documents, and some essentials into a backpack, turned off the wall heater, and left.
The warm interior was empty and gradually grew cold.
An hour later, An Yan drove to a private airport.
A luxurious jet was parked on the runway.
The captain personally opened the car door, and An Yan stepped out.
"Long time no see, Zhuo Sang."
Zhuo Sang bowed in greeting, "Long time no see, Miss. Everything is ready. Please board the plane."
An Yan looked back one last time, not knowing if she would return again.
She hadn’t yet acknowledged her parents and brothers, which was really a pity, but at least she knew, didn’t she?
She clenched her fist, unsure if Fu Shiyan would sign. He probably would, right?
She turned and boarded the plane.
Fu Shiyan went back to the company and had meetings all afternoon.
As soon as he returned to his office, he saw An Yingying sitting in the guest chair.
He frowned, "Why are you here?"
An Yingying stood up and quickly walked up to the man, "Shiyan, can’t you see that An Yan is utterly fickle and unfaithful..."
Fu Shiyan grabbed her by the throat, "Do not talk about her! If there’s a next time, I won’t be nice."
He thrust her away fiercely, throwing her to the ground.
An Yingying began coughing violently. "She really doesn’t deserve your love..."
At that moment, Su Yue pushed the door open, followed by Si Heng.
"Old Dog Fu, where did Baby Yan go?" She suddenly caught sight of An Yingying on the floor, her tone mocking, "Oh! Already forgetting the old for the new, I see!"
Fu Shiyan tugged at his tie, his eyes full of anger, "I haven’t."
An Yingying stood up, adjusting her fur coat, "An Yan has someone else now, you still don’t know, right? She’s the one who’s fickle!"
Su Yue slapped her across the face, "Who gave you the right to speak! What are you even considered!"
An Yingying retorted angrily, "Ask Shiyan what I am to him! He got a brain injury because of me. If it weren’t for An Yan, I would be with Shiyan now!"
Su Yue frowned, "Clarify your words!"
An Yingying held her head high, like a proud peacock, "I’m saying, two years ago Shiyan got a brain injury saving me. He forgot about me. An Yan took the opportunity to step in, or else I would be with Shiyan now!"
Su Yue burst into laughter, looking at Fu Shiyan, "Two years ago, you saved her?"
