Spoiled By My Ex-Fiance's Uncle
Chapter 116: You Can Reward Me

Chapter 116: Chapter 116: You Can Reward Me

Midday sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains, illuminating the pale cheeks of the girl.

An Yan languidly turned over, feeling the warmth of breath on her face and the man’s signature scent of cold wood invading her nostrils—she didn’t need to open her eyes to know who it was.

"Ayan."

The sweet and soft sound of her voice pleased the man.

"You know who it is without looking?"

An Yan opened her eyes to meet Fu Shiyan’s tender gaze, a smile lifted the corners of her lips as she leaned into his embrace, "I lack maternal love, so I know who it is by the scent of milk."

Fu Shiyan couldn’t help but laugh at this, he rolled over and pinned her beneath him, "Such a perfect person, yet you have such a mouth."

An Yan looked up at the man above her, "Having a mouth is how I can kiss the one I love."

"How can you speak so well, huh?"

"It’s heartfelt."

Fu Shiyan bent down and lightly pecked her flushed lips, "Then let me feel your heart, to see if it is honest."

His warm, dry hands slid under the hem of her clothing and began to move upwards, just about to cross a peak when the doorbell rang.

An Yan blinked, "Who could it be? It couldn’t be Jinqiao, could it?"

Fu Shiyan knitted his brows, few people knew this place—it must be someone familiar with him.

"I’ll check it out." He got out of bed, slipping on his slippers.

"Wait a moment!"

An Yan was a bit flustered, she quickly jumped out of bed, rushed out of the room, and snatched the men’s underwear and socks hanging on the balcony and stuffed them into Fu Shiyan’s arms.

She pushed him into the wardrobe, "Hurry and hide, I’ll find a spot, the closet! Yes, the closet!"

"Am I really that unsightly?"

"It’s not that."

"The old man and the others already know."

An Yan’s face was full of shock, "What? They know?"

"I went back to the old house and laid my cards out with the elder."

An Yan swallowed nervously, "He didn’t die of anger?"

Fu Shiyan smiled, "If he had, I guess I’d be in the morgue keeping vigil right now."

An Yan snorted with laughter, "I don’t mean to curse him, it’s just that I find it miraculous that you’re still alive and unharmed. You’re not hurt?"

Fu Shiyan pinched her little nose, "No."

He took An Yan’s hand and opened the door, only to see the butler from the old house holding a bag at the doorstep.

"Third Master!"

An Yan was a bit embarrassed, hiding behind Fu Shiyan, she peeked out her little head.

The butler respectfully handed over the bag, "This is food made for Miss An by the old lady."

Fu Shiyan, somewhat surprised, accepted it, "Thank you, Uncle Qiao."

The butler nodded slightly, "Third Master, I’ll take my leave now."

Fu Shiyan closed the door and as soon as he turned around, An Yan snatched the bag from him, "Is this for me?"

"It seems my mother particularly likes you, so much so she would have been happy if you could marry me on the spot and pop out a baby right away."

An Yan glared at him and sat down on the couch to open the bag.

The enticing aroma whetted her appetite; An Yan felt a little excited, "I smell the scent of spicy crawfish."

Fu Shiyan laughed, "My mom’s cooking of this dish is unparalleled, though she hasn’t made it in a long time."

An Yan saw a sticky note inside the bag with graceful, fluent handwriting.

: An Yan, you should eat more. Let Shiyan peel the shells; you just focus on eating!

An Yan stuffed the note into Fu Shiyan’s hand, "Your mother is so nice to me, but I’m not going to make you shell them for me." Speaking, she prepared to don her gloves.

Fu Shiyan accepted it and wore them on his own hands, "My mom is right, I’m responsible for peeling, and you’re responsible for eating."

The man’s slender fingers slowly peeled the shells, the movement pleasing to the eye, as he fed the peeled crayfish meat to An Yan’s mouth, "Taste this."

An Yan took a bite, her eyes turning into stars, "Super tasty!"

Fu Shiyan methodically peeled the shells and placed little morsels of shrimp in front of An Yan, "Eat up, they’re all yours."

After a large box of crayfish was consumed, Fu Shiyan felt that An Yan was still not satisfied, so he entered the kitchen and made her a portion of pasta, just like the one An Yan had made for him that night.

An Yan looked at the exquisitely plated dish and clicked her tongue, "As expected of President Fu, such an incredible learning ability."

"I plan to cook for you for a lifetime, where I don’t know, you show me, and I’ll do it even better."

An Yan was especially touched, "Thank you, Ayan."

"You’re moved just like that? Are you going to be moved for a lifetime?"

"Yeah, I think that’s possible."

After the meal, Fu Shiyan carried the dishes into the kitchen to wash.

An Yan, on the other hand, was nestled on the sofa browsing her phone. She saw that Fu Shiyan had sent her a voice message. Opening it, she knew that Fu Shiyan was about to deal with some matters, so had he finished now?

At that moment, a news item reached the top of the trending topic list.

She clicked on it, and the content was about the survival reality show island-swapping incident, and the instigator was Mother Su, Ailin.

Clearly, the person responsible was none other than Su Manxi, with her mother Ailin being nothing but a scapegoat.

As Mother Su’s confession coincided with the timeline and all operational behaviors, no loopholes could be found, and so the responsibility for the island-swapping incident fell upon her.

An Yan scoffed lightly, Su Manxi was such a dog, actually letting her own mother take the blame. One should know that once sentenced, it wasn’t just a few years, at least a decade was guaranteed.

At the same time, the news of Father Su, Su Bingcheng’s embezzlement and transfer of ill-gotten wealth was exposed, along with some scandals of the Su Corporation, causing the Su family stock to plummet to the limit down.

An Yan looked towards the busy figure in the kitchen, contemplating that all of this must be Fu Shiyan’s doing.

This man was always one to act without speaking, silently avenging her.

Thinking of this, An Yan’s heart warmed.

Fu Shiyan quickly finished washing, walked out of the kitchen, and came to her side, "What are you watching?"

An Yan tapped on the news on her phone, "Did you do this?"

He hummed in affirmation, "When people do wrong, they must bear the risks and consequences."

An Yan didn’t expect him to act so swiftly, decisively without delay.

Fu Shiyan raised an eyebrow, "Don’t be so touched, you can reward me."

An Yan glared at him, murmuring softly, "Shameless."

"What use is shame? Can’t even get any perks." Fu Shiyan kissed her cheek.

At that moment, An Yan’s phone buzzed.

She glanced at the name, it was Mu Qianfan.

She answered.

"An Yan, do you have time tonight? My mother wants to meet you. After all, without you, she couldn’t have had the surgery."

An Yan looked towards Fu Shiyan, asking with her lips, "Can I?"

Before Fu Shiyan could respond, Mu Qianfan continued, "I’m not sure if President Fu is free, the timely clearance of the venom is all thanks to President Fu. I’ll also extend an invitation to President Fu later."

An Yan vaguely felt that Mu Qianfan seemed to know something, deliberately tying her and Fu Shiyan together.

Mu Qianfan chuckled, "Then it’s settled, we’ll gather at the Mu Family home tonight. I’ll have my younger brother pick you two up at five o’clock, just send me the address."

Fu Shiyan gritted his teeth, "No need, I’ll take her there myself."

Mu Qianfan laughed, "Oh, President Fu is also here, then I’ll look forward to welcoming President Fu."
