[OfficialLorelie (Terrana 5): I plan to do a concert tour around the universe for the new music you have given me, also this will be a chance for me to provide you with the God’s Oasis you asked for.]

“You know you're giving away your scheme right now, right?”

“Fair enough, but aren't you still in talks with Royal Entertainment or whoever about signing with them?”

[OfficialLorelie (Terrana 5): It’s true the talks are still ongoing, but they don’t have to be conducted in person. Also, my popularity is currently at its highest point, or it will be once the newscasts spread my performance. This is the perfect time for me to go on tour.]

A video recording of Lorelie’s performance at the Terran celebration appeared on the stream, showing the last two songs that she performed.

[SciFifanboy (Earth): It’s not Sci-Fi since it's Earth music, but an alien singing it is SO SCI-FI.]

“You really do have an incredible singing voice.”

[OfficialLorelie (Terrana 5): Thank you. 😊So what do you say to my offer, will you let me hire you as my personal bodyguard?]

“Let’s discuss it after I finish my current job,” Adam replied as Spector came into view.

[OfficialLorelie (Terrana 5): Fair enough.]

“As Adam approached Spector, he was surprised to see Stacey waiting for him near the entry ramp.

[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): O,h it’s the girlfriend who’s waiting to welcome her lover home.]

[OfficialRowena (Terrana 5): Well played, granddaughter.]

[Beczontop (Terrana 5): Damn it.]

“Why are you here? I thought you were waiting at Becky’s?” Adam asked.

“I’m coming with you,” Stacey replied adamantly as she stood with her hands on her hips and a determined look.

“With me where?” 

“Wherever it is you plan to go after leaving Trillion.”

“But I don’t know where I’m going yet.”

“That’s fine, I can make some suggestions.”

“But don’t you have your work to do with the eighty-sixers?”

“I told you before I’m freelance, also one of the reasons I originally became a smuggler was to see the galaxy and maybe the universe, with you, I can achieve that.”

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): She’s serious about going.]

[Beczontop (Terrana 5): Fuck, turn the bitch down, babe.]

“Spector, what’s your opinion?” Adam asked, causing Stacey to raise an eyebrow in surprise.

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): He’s asking the ship's AI?]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): That’s certainly unusual.]

[[As the captain it is up to you if you bring on more crew members.]]

“Are you certain about this? If you join me in what I’m about to do, you won’t be able to return here for a long time, if ever.” 

“I have an idea about what you're planning, and I have wanted to do it for a long time. Besides, the universe is a big place and has many places to explore. Plus, you never know, I might be able to return one day.”

[HackerSu (Trillion): …]

“Fine, you can come, but if you're living on the ship, you also have to work. We will decide your position later. For now, let’s go.” Adam said as he rode the hoverbike slowly up the ramp and into the cargo bay.

“Ok,” Stacey said happily as she ran after him.

[OfficialLorelie (Terrana 5): I can’t decide if they're serious or doing it on purpose to piss Beczontop off.]

[OfficialRowena (Terrana 5): Probably a bit of both. 🤭]

“What about your luggage? Are you not bringing anything with you?” Adam asked as they walked through Spector’s corridors.

“It’s not like you gave me any time to pack; I rushed over here as soon as you said you would be leaving.”

“What about Susan?”

[HackerSu (Trillion): Yeah, what about me?]

“I gave her a quick goodbye.”

[HackerSu (Trillion): A quick goodbye? All you said was ‘oh no you don’t’ before you dashed out the door.]

“That’s not what she says.”

“Sue likes to overreact, don’t worry about it. Where are we going anyway?”

[HackerSu (Trillion): Bitch, is this the thanks I get for caring about you?]

“The cockpit.”

“Am I allowed up there?”

“Well, you are a crew member now.” Adam replied as a door slid open and he led them both into the cockpit before taking his station and saying, “Pick any station.”

Stacey nodded before choosing one of the empty stations and sitting down.

“Registration of a new crew member required. Please place your hand on the console.”

Stacey was surprised when Spector spoke through the intercom, but did as she was told.

“Captain, please designate crew member Stacey Sinclair’s access level.”

“Let’s start off with level five,” Adam replied before explaining. “This will give you free access to Spector’s systems with a few exceptions.”

“Level five access granted, registration complete.”

As Spector finished speaking, the console before Stacey came alive, allowing her to use it.

[SciFifanboy (Earth): That’s so Sci-Fi.]

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): I’m totally jealous right now. She gets all those big guns to play with.]

[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Me thinks you don’t just mean the ship weapons. Kekeke]

“Let’s go,” Adam said before he engaged Spector’s engines, and she began to lift off.

“Plot the fastest route to the tower Max Parks and his family have residency at.”

“Their extended family have residency in three different sky towers,” Spector replied as the location of the Parks' residences appeared on the navigation console.

“Are they all involved in selling drugs?”

“Negative, data shows an estranged cousin of Max Parks split ties with the family four years ago. The reason given was that his family disapproved of his choice in a partner; however, data shows he had been losing favour with them for about two years before that.”

“Six years ago, exactly when they started dealing in drugs, remove him from the target list.” 

“Affirmative,” Spector replied as one of the locations disappeared.

Adam piloted Spector to head towards the tower that Max Parks and his parents resided in.

“Makes sense that it’s the closest,” Stacey commented. “He wouldn’t want to travel halfway around the world each time he wanted to get his dick wet and pick up drugs.”

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Shame Maximus isn’t streaming, it would be fun to watch things from his perspective.]

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): If Maximus was streaming, you probably wouldn’t be allowed to watch this stream in case you told him the streamer was coming for him.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): That raises a good question: did you inform Maximus about the streamers' interest in him during his last stream?]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Fuck no, I only watch his streams for the naked women.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Fucking pervert.]

Max Parks sat opposite his father in their opulent living room as the bag containing the drugs he had collected from the Skull Rose gang sat atop the table between them.

“Any problems?” His father asked.

“None,” Max replied calmly.

“Good, we’re attending the gathering at the planet leaders' residence tonight to celebrate the twenty-five years the emperor has been on the throne.”

“Why do we even bother attending something celebrating that man?”

“We must keep up appearances for the time being, son. Your role will be to distribute the drugs QUIETLY to our regulars.”

“Yes, yes, this isn't my first time, father.” 

As Max’s father was about to respond, something outside the large windows that looked over Trillion caught his attention.

What he saw was a starship that had just flown beside their residence and was now hovering level with it.

“What the?” Max’s father said in surprise, causing Max to turn and stare in shock at the ship.

Before either of them could say anything, the large holographic screen along one wall changed from the newscast it was broadcasting to show a face that Max recognised.

“Hell,o Max,” Stacey said with a smirk.

“Stacey,” Max replied in shock

“You know this woman, Max? Who is she?”

“Aww, it seems you didn’t tell daddy about me. I’m so hurt. And after you went to all the trouble to try and have me kidnapped.”

“Kidnapped? What is she talking about, Max?” 

“You see, Mr Parks, when Max went to collect the shipment of drugs from the Skull Rose’s, he also hired them to kidnap me.”
