Chapter 116: Relationship talks

Sinead, along with almost everyone else in the city, looked up to see a giant green dragon descending from the sky towards the city.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are witnessing something almost all of us probably thought was impossible a mere week ago. A dragon is arriving to partake in the Terran celebrations." Sinead began.

"I think the question on everyone's mind is who is this dragon? Is it in fact the dragon princess Tephe that was rumoured to have suddenly decided to attend the celebration."

As they watched the dragon continued to descend and flew over the city causing a large shadow to pass beneath it before it slowed down to a stop and hovered above the imperial palace garden.

Everyone watching could see the dragon looking around as if it was trying to find a place to land when it noticed a group of people leaving the palace and heading in its direction.

In the lead was a beautiful young woman with long dark hair who waved towards the dragon when she got close enough.

The dragon started to descend again before everyone watching saw that it started to shrink in size until only a young woman with green hair and dragon wings behind her back landed before the black haired young woman.

The dragon placed her hands on her hips and puffed out her ample chest before declaring happily, "I Tephe have come to visit."

The black haired young woman smiled before saying, "Welcome dragon princess Tephe, I am Tessa Terrana, first princess of the Terran race."

"Hi princess Tessa, please just call me Tephe. I'm not a princess like you after all." Tephe said happily.

"Only if you call me Tessa." 

"Deal."

"If you will please accompany me, my parents are happy to meet you."

"Sure." Tephe replied happily as she began to walk alongside Tessa while looking around in excitement.

"Wow she actually turned up." Stacey said in surprise as she watched the holographic screen.

"You know Max left a few minutes ago, you don't need to keep leaning on me." Adam stated as both girls were still cuddling up to him.

"Are you saying you dislike having a beauty in each arm who enjoy cuddling up to you?" Susan asked with a smirk.

"I never said that." 

"Then stop complaining and enjoy it. Hey if you're a good boy maybe you will get this more often along with other things that the two of us can do together." Suzan said with a suggestive wink.

Adam shivered at the underlying meaning of her sentence causing her to giggle while he felt a sharp pain in his side.

"Ahhh why are you pinching me? She said it."

"Because I felt you shiver in excitement, pervert." Stacey pouted.

"Well what guy wouldn't want two beauties like yourself at the same time? Unless they're gay of course."

"Charmer." Susan replied as both girls snuggled even deeper before she asked, "What's gay?"

"Oh it's a term from my world when someone of one gender likes the same gender, generally it's used to refer to males while lesbian is used to refer to females."

"Do you?" Adam asked curiously.

"Perhaps." Susan replied with another smirk before saying, "but answer the question."

"That's a bit more complicated but generally it's referred to as being bisexual."

"How about someone who has many lovers?" 

"That depends on if that someone is the only one they love or if they love each other as well." Adam explained. "For the first it's called having a harem and the second it's called polyamory."

"Sounds like it was common back on your planet." 

"Not at all." Adam denied before explaining, "While I'm sure there were some people who were in that sort of relationship, that sort of thing was generally frowned upon by the majority of people and monogamy or having only one partner was the mainstream."

"What about you? What's your opinion on it?"

Adam was silent for a while as he considered his thoughts and the two girls waited for his response before he finally said, "If it was before my girlfriend was killed I would have said I was monogamous, however now I can't give a definite answer. I'm still new to the known universe and I don't know what's mainstream and what's not."

"I'm sorry." Susan said, "I didn't mean to bring up a painful memory." 

"It's fine, you didn't know, and I got revenge by killing the man who killed her."

"That's good," Susan said before continuing, "Well to enlighten you the majority of relationships in the universe are what you call monogamy, whether it's with the same or opposite gender. However group relationships or as you call them harem and polyamory do exist and generally they fall into a few different categories." 

"The first and most common category is for those races and species that proactively go about having multiple partners, an example of this is the Rabitouser race. They are a humanoid race that have long ears of different types and bushy tails. They are known to have sex with almost anyone, however each session lasts only a few seconds."

"How is that possible?" Adam asked.

"The female Rabitousers emit a special liquid from their vagina that upon contact with a male's cock causes them to instantly orgasm. Needless to say brothels love to employ them if they can as they can service so many patrons a night."

"Don't the patrons complain that they didn't get the money's worth?"

"And that's legal?" 

"Depends on which planet and galaxy you're talking about. While many civilized races do indeed outlaw slavery, it still exists enough for it to be worthwhile. Also the universal senate has never specifically passed a universal law against slavery since many senators are from galaxies that still conduct slavery."

"The next category is the powerful. People are naturally drawn to the powerful whether it's because they want their protection, a portion of their power or just their genes to reproduce powerful offspring. This is why you will often see rulers who have many lovers, in fact it's more uncommon to only have one lover."

"What about the Terran Emperor, how many lovers does he have or is it just the C?" 

"The Emperor has several wives and other women who share his bed as well as many children, however only the first prince Steven and the third princess Tessa are the empress' children. Of course there are many rumours and speculations that circle the imperial family, but if you want to know what is truth and what is fiction you would have to ask someone from the imperial family."

"As for the final category it is also the rarest, that's when the person is truly special. They don't have to buy their lovers or offer them protection, the women will just naturally fall in love and want to be with him even if they are not his only love and they know they have other lovers besides them."

"I see why you say it's the rarest, it seems impossible." Adam commented.

"While it's true they are the rarest, history shows that they are also the ones that end up holding great power and influence in the universe."

"What do you mean?"

"Hmmm, the universal senate is probably the best example." 

"Are you telling me that the universal senate is just one big harem?" 

"No of course not, but when it was first founded it was." 

"What?" Adam asked in surprise.

"Prior to the formation of the universal senate the universe was a lawless place. It was far smaller than the known universe today but that doesn't take away how dangerous it still was."
