Chapter 113: Bank of the Elite

They watched as the hoverbike sped through the lower city while Nelly screamed. Soon enough they saw Spector on its landing pad and as the hoverbike pulled up beside it they saw a figure descending from the ship.

"Someone else was on the ship that I never met?" Stacey asked in surprise.

"Not exactly." Adam replied with a smirk as Spector android came into view as she approached the hoverbike.

"Who are you, what do you want? Stay away." Nelly said in panic.

Spector android just ignored her however as she opened Nelly's backpack and removed the case containing the dark matter.

"Dark matter acquired." Spector android said as she turned and returned to the ship while the hoverbike shot off again.

"So now what shall we do with Nelly?" Adam asked as they all watched her screaming in terror as the hoverbike flew the lower city streets at crazy speeds.

"Dispose of her." Jessie replied flatly.

"You don't want to question her or anything?" Adam asked curiously.

"No need. I know why she did it and I have a good idea of who she was communicating with." Jessie stated before adding, "Besides now the dark matter is no longer my problem."

"You mean you just passed the issue onto me."

"You're the one who offered to take it off my hands."

"True." Adam nodded before saying, "Proceed with elimination."

[[Affirmative.]]

The five of them watched as the hoverbike suddenly took several sharp trunks that led it back onto a street that was connected to the shaft Spector had flown down.

They saw that the hoverbike picked up speed as it shot towards the edge of the sector and the open shaft.

"You know it's a hoverbike and can't fly right?" Susan asked.

Adam didn't reply and just continued to watch as the hoverbike got closer and close to the edge.

"STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP." Nelly yelled in dread as she saw the open space of the shaft directly ahead that led all the way down to the lowest levels of the lower city miles below.

As if it was finally listening to her Nelly felt the hoverbike jolt as the brakes slammed on, but before she could sigh in relief her mind registered that her body had for some reason become weightless.

When her brain caught up with her eyes she found herself in mid air over the shaft as she had been flung away from the hoverbike when it suddenly braked. 

People that were present at the edge of the shaft for whatever reason watched with surprise and interest as a Terran woman's body was flung over the handlebars of a hoverbike and out into mid air above the shaft. 

"NOOOOOOOOO." Everyone heard her scream until it faded away as she plummeted down the shaft for miles.

"Well, that's one way to take out the trash." Susan commented with a smirk as the holographic display vanished before asking with keen interest, "So did you manage to hack sky tower security?"

"Yup." Adam replied before asking, "Spector, what did you find out about Max Parks?"

After speaking information was displayed on Adam's HUD.

"Well now, it seems Max isn't just some perverted streamer."

"Did you find something about that dickhead?" Stacey asked excitedly.

"I should say so, does he happen to purchase any drugs from the eighty sixers?"

"Drugs?" Stacey asked in surprise as the other three also showed looks of surprise.

"No." Jessie replied before adding, "The eighty sixers have never touched the drugs trade, our founder Becky forbid it because of how her mother was raped after being spiked."

"Are you saying Max Parks is dealing in drugs?" Joe asked.

"It seems so." Adam confirmed before explaining, "according to security footage Max has been caught by sky tower security several times, however he has never been charged."

"One of his crimes is apparently bribery so we can assume that he is bribing security to allow him through with the drugs. I guess he then sells the drugs for a profit to other sky tower tenants."

"It's the old trick of committing a small crime to hide a large crime."

"What do you mean?" Stacey asked.

"As we have already spoken about, Max coming down to the lower city to stream his sexual activities is no doubt frowned upon by those in the sky towers but that's probably all It is. However if it was discovered that he was coming down here to stop up on drugs that would be more than frowned upon don't you think?"

"What he's doing is purposefully making himself look like a slight fool with perverted tendencies to hide the fact that he is dealing in drugs."

"I bet if we follow him after he finishes his streaming session here we will find him going to meet his drug supplier before heading back to his sky tower."

"No wonder he's always got credits to burn, I always thought he got it from his parents." Joe commented.

"He probably still does." Jessie replied before adding, "he would need to have a cover story about where he got the credits from."

"Assuming his parents aren't involved." Susan commented.

"What do you mean?" Jessie asked.

"Could he really keep something he has been doing for so long from his parents And family or are they actually also involved. If not then where does the extra money he's getting go?"

"Spector?" Adam asked.

[[Financial records for Max Parks shows large credit transfers taking place between himself and several of his families members.]]

[[All these transfers eventually lead to Jack Parks, father of Max Parks before being transferred off-world to a Bank of the Elite account.]]

[[I am unable to determine where they lead after that as hacking into Bank of the Elite is not possible without a direct connection.]]

"I know it's an obnoxious name, but have you heard of Bank of the Elite?" Adam asked curiously.

"It's one of the top banks in the universe." Susan began to explain.

"While Universal Bank stands at the pinnacle as the biggest bank in terms of customers, Bank of the Elite is probably the biggest in terms of assets because it only caters to the rich and powerful. In order to be a customer of Bank of the Elite you have to meet a minimum requirement in both status and wealth."

"Why do you ask?" ?Jessie asked curiously.

"It seems Max's father Jack Parks has an account with them, or at least pays into a Bank of the Elite account." 

"Really?" Jessie replied before adding, "I expect it's the latter, while the Parks are indeed wealthy, even more than we originally thought if they're dealing in drugs, they don't have the status to become a customer of Bank of the Elite."

"Jessie's right, when we say required status not even being a planetary leader is enough, we are talking about status on a galactic level and rumour has it that's just for the lowest level of account." Joe added.

"Well anyway, once the credits reached the account at the Bank of the Elite the trail went cold, the only way to continue tracing it is to hack into the bank's secure data server and I'm not interested in robbing another bank right now, especially over someone like Max." Adam stated.

"You've robbed a bank before?" Stacey asked as they all looked at Adam in surprise.

"It's not as amazing as you're making it out to be." Adam replied dismissively before asking, "So what do we do about Max then?"

"I'm not sure blackmail is the best option now that we know his family as well as sky tower security is involved in all this, while it was just him it was a viable option, however the more people we have to blackmail the messier and less controlled it becomes." Joe stated.

"I agree." Adam replied before saying, "I suggest we just off Max."

"You mean kill him? How do we do that without it being traced back to Beck's?" Susan asked.

"We make it look like a drug deal gone bad." Jessie said with a thoughtful look.

""Bing." Adam said with a smirk before Jessie continued.

"If Adam is right then after Max's next stream and visit to us he will go meet his dealer to pick up his drug supply, we just have to make it look like that meet went bad and he got killed."

"Any idea who would be supplying him?" Adam asked.

"It could be one of any of the surrounding gangs, while not all gangs in the lower city deal in drugs most do."
