Chapter 1132: Forbidden Spell
While tactics, strategy, and planning mattered in interplanar wars, what usually determined the outcome was still the most basic factor—raw strength.
The half-beastman legion had only average overall strength, and their numbers were limited.
They also lacked a space fortress or a large mage legion to provide long-range firepower support.
With such a legion, achieving victory at a small cost was not exactly realistic in the first place.
The laws of the microplane’s narrow environment restricted Rank Four creatures from entering. Hence, the highest combat force was limited to demigods.
That said, the demigod-level strength of this invading army was still pretty solid.
The two demigod-level knights from Magus World often outperformed opponents of the same rank in one-on-one combat.
Sein wanted this half-beastman army marching into Boubor World to suffer as few losses as possible.
He was not doing this for Eugene’s sake.
Rather, Sein wanted to use this interplanar war to hone his skills in strategizing and coordination.
This was also a form of growth.
And judging by the results so far, he was doing quite well.
When the resistance forces of Boubor World were about to clash with the half-beastman army on the frontlines, Sein called the two demigod-level knights and Tosk to his side and shared his plan.
“I’m planning to unleash a forbidden spell,” Sein said.
This time, the forbidden spell he was talking about was not the single-target Penetrating Eye spell he had used earlier, but a true area-of-effect spell.
The ability to wipe out hundreds of thousands of living beings and shift the tide of a battlefield—that was the terrifying power of a forbidden spell!
Some of the top Rank Four and above mages in Magus World had the skill to inscribe forbidden spells onto scrolls, and those scrolls were sold for astronomical prices.
The half-beastman clan, of course, could not afford anything like that.
The forbidden spell Sein was preparing to use was one he had developed and crafted himself.
But unleashing a forbidden spell was not a simple matter, especially an area-of-effect spell. The chanting time alone would not be short.
Sein still had a lot of preparation ahead before the summoning could begin.
It could not be helped—the half-beastman legions were practically penniless.
Summoning a forbidden spell really was the best choice if they wanted to end the battle quickly and minimize their own losses as much as possible.
However, during the summoning of a forbidden spell, a mage was at their most vulnerable.
If the summoning failed, the elemental backlash would be far more devastating than the consequences of failing to cast an ordinary spell.
Every release of a forbidden spell had to be the result of careful deliberation.
In theory, any demigod-level mage from Magus World could cast a forbidden spell.
Yet, looking back on all the interplanar wars Sein had participated in, he had only ever seen one unleashed a handful of times.
The two demigod-level knights understood the difficult position the half-beastman legion was in. But in their view, Sein had no reason to risk himself by summoning a forbidden spell just for the sake of the half-beastmen.
Even so, when they saw how resolute Sein was, the two knights did not argue further.
Instead, they pledged to do everything they could to protect him during the summoning and make sure his chanting process would not be interrupted.
“I plan to perform the summoning in space. In addition to striking the main force of this world’s native alliance, I also intend to destroy the planar barrier and suppress the activity of the planar will with the forbidden spell,” Sein explained.
He glanced around at the group and continued, "Your main task is to hold off the demigod-level creatures of this microplane. From the battlefield reports so far, it looks like there should not be any hidden demigod-levels in this world.”
"Unleashing the forbidden spell in space, huh? That would indeed minimize the chance of being interrupted. But Master Sein... what forbidden spell are you planning to use?” one of the knights asked.
Sein answered only with a small smile, offering no further explanation.

After coordinating the necessary battle deployments, Sein quietly flew beyond Boubor World.
Due to the fierce fighting over the past few months, the planar barrier had grown much thinner—a clear sign that the plane’s origin energy had been damaged.
For most planes, leaving was much easier than getting in.
Worlds like Faeloria, where even the native creatures could not escape, were extremely rare.
As Sein passed through the dark, membranous layer of the planar barrier, he clearly felt the suppression on his body gradually peel away, and more control over the elements return to his hands.
This time, only two people followed Sein into the space—Leena and Yuri.
Leena was there to observe and learn from Sein’s process of releasing the forbidden spell, while Yuri acted as his bodyguard.
Looking down from outside the plane, Boubor World resembled a lump of black coal.
Three microplanes orbited around Bouldrak World in the Astral Realm.
Two of the microplanes closest to Bouldrak World were already locked in fierce wars, their planar barriers visibly dim and weakened.
The third microplane, smaller and darker, lay farther out and had remained peaceful, for now.
It was not Sein’s first time seeing the endless, brilliant starry sky, but today, something about it stirred a new sense of wonder in him.
At Sein’s instruction, Yuri had maneuvered all of her mechas to the nearest asteroid belt outside Boubor World, pushing several massive asteroids toward him.
These asteroids would serve as the key materials and conduits for Sein’s forbidden spell.
Alongside them, Sein carefully arranged special magic spices and elemental runes.
When he glanced toward Bouldrak World, he noticed it pulsing with enormous elemental energy. His gaze then shifted to the star domains surrounding it.
"According to what Eugene said, this low-level civilization is located at the edge of the Magus Alliance’s sphere of influence. In other words, somewhere near this star domain, there should be worlds still unknown and unconquered by the Magus Civilization,” Sein murmured.
“I wonder how many strange races and civilizations are out there in the Astral Realm. The territory our Magus Civilization occupies in the Astral Realm might just be... a drop in the ocean.”
Sein sighed softly, then raised his magic rod.
Under Sein’s elemental control and chanting, the massive asteroids Yuri had pushed over slowly began to form a new asteroid belt.
Guided by the glow of his mana, the belt started drifting toward Boubor World.
To the lesser creatures below, it appeared as if a dazzling meteor shower was beginning to unfold across the sky.
