Soulbound: Dual Cultivation
Chapter 81: Yin and Love

Chapter 81: Yin and Love

Lira felt something warm surge inside her as Lucas subtly ignored Selene. She didn’t show it outwardly, but deep down, she couldn’t deny how satisfying it was to see the same young man who had once looked at Selene with awe and longing now walk past her without even granting her a glance. Still, she didn’t let that moment linger too long in her thoughts. Lucas was wounded, exhausted, and on the brink of collapse. Her feelings could wait, his wellbeing could not.

Without hesitation, Lira secured her arm around his waist and guided him through the corridors of the castle, whispering words of reassurance to him though she wasn’t even sure if he could hear her. His body was heavy with fatigue, his feet dragging as though each one might be his last, but he did not complain, and he did not resist. He simply leaned on her, trusting her entirely.

When they reached his chamber, she gently eased him onto the bed. The moment he sank into the mattress, a sigh escaped his lips, not of pain or frustration, but of relief. The weight of everything, the battle, the beasts, the Grandmaster, had finally caught up with him. He looked at Lira as if to thank her, but she had already turned away, moving toward the shelves lined with medicinal herbs and alchemical tools.

She had been watching him closely, learning quietly, absorbing everything he had taught her. And now, she was putting that knowledge to use to help him.

Her fingers moved with practiced precision as she began selecting ingredients, dried sunroot petals for energy, a few drops of liquefied stormgrass to ease the aches in his muscles, and a pinch of balm to accelerate internal healing. She heated a flask, mixing the components with steady hands, her brow furrowed in concentration. The scent of the potion filled the room, sharp yet soothing, the air seeming to calm in response to the soft hiss of brewing elixirs.

Once the potion was ready, she returned to Lucas’s side. She helped him sit upright and placed the warm flask to his lips. He drank without protest. The moment the liquid touched his tongue, he felt its effects almost instantly, a gentle warmth spreading through his limbs, dulling the pain and easing the tightness in his chest. His breathing became more even, his posture less strained. The tension slowly faded from his expression.

"You did well," Lucas murmured, his voice rough but sincere. "You’ve been learning."

Lira smiled faintly, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead. "From the best."

He gave a tired nod, then closed his eyes. He knew better than to waste this brief moment of peace. There would be more challenges ahead, more danger, more choices to make, more power to grasp. But none of it would matter if his body wasn’t ready.

Drawing in a slow breath, he shifted into a meditative position on the bed. His legs crossed, his hands resting lightly on his knees, and his spine straight despite the fatigue weighing him down. He closed his eyes again, not to sleep, but to focus.

Slowly, he reached inward, searching for the thread of Qi now fully connected to the crystal he had absorbed. It was there, pulsing inside him, vast and deep like a buried sea. He began to draw from it, letting it flow through his meridians, spreading into his limbs, repairing what had been damaged, strengthening what had been weakened.

Eventually, Lucas had to stop.

No matter how focused his spirit was or how calm his breathing had become, his body simply could not go on. The Qi that had been flowing through his meridians with such promise was now beginning to strain him instead. His Dantian throbbed with warning, and his internal pathways ached with the pressure of what he was trying to contain. It was like trying to store a river inside a cracked jar. His cultivation had grown faster than his foundation could keep up with, and now that foundation was showing the price.

He let out a slow breath and opened his eyes, his body drenched in sweat and his muscles trembling. His meridians were strained, their once elastic channels now tender and raw, like overworked muscles on the verge of snapping. His Dantian, the very core of his cultivation, pulsed unsteadily, not with strength, but with fragility. The battle had left its scars. It had torn through the energy reserves he once relied on, draining him of more than just physical power. It had left him hollow in ways that cultivating alone could not immediately repair.

He leaned back against the wall, his gaze drifting toward the ceiling for a moment, as if searching for an answer in the patterns of the stone. His mind was clear, but his body was failing him. No matter how refined the Qi of the crystal had been, no matter how rich the energy that still lingered in the air around him, his body simply couldn’t hold it right now. Not without risking collapse.

He needed something else. Something more precise. Something more nurturing.

He closed his eyes again and focused inward, not on his strength, but on the very structure of his cultivation. His meridians were weakened, frayed at the edges like old parchment. His Dantian was unstable, like a cracked core flickering with light that couldn’t quite take shape. What he needed was Yin energy, not just any Yin energy, but the kind that would flow softly through him, wrapping his wounds in a healing cold, restoring balance where his body had been scorched and battered.

His breath hitched slightly at the thought. It wasn’t just a matter of theory. He had done it before. He had cultivated with Yin before, and he knew its effect. He knew what it could do for him, how it could cool and soothe the places that were now in agony.

And Lira was still here.

She hadn’t left his side. Even now, she was seated quietly by the table, sorting through unused herbs and mixing another vial with careful attention, unaware of the thoughts running through his mind. She hadn’t said a word since he began cultivating. She had simply waited, watched, trusted him. She was his shadow in the best possible way, not clinging to him, not crowding him, but always ready when he needed her.

He looked at her, his eyes calm but resolute. His body was at its limit, but his will was not.

He needed Yin energy.

And Lira was here to provide it for him.

Lucas stood and leaned against the wall of his chamber, the cool surface grounding him as he watched Lira move with quiet precision, her delicate hands sorting through bundles of dried herbs on a wooden table.

The air was sharp with the earthy scent of sage and crushed roots, the candlelight casting soft glows across her smooth skin, her hair tied back in a loose braid.

Lucas’s eyes tracing her slender frame, the way her simple tunic hugged her curves. His body hummed with the aftershocks of the soul-binding with the Seer, her rich Yin energy still settling in his core, but it wasn’t enough, as he had spent most of it in the battle.

He needed more, needed Lira’s Yin, purer and sharper than the Seer’s, to balance the surge and push his cultivation higher. His cock stirring in his robe, the hunger growing sharper by the second.

"Lira," he called, his voice low, cutting through the quiet rustle of her work. She looked up, her innocent eyes wide, catching the light like polished amber, and tilted her head, a small smile playing on her lips.

"What is it, Master?" she asked, her voice soft, trusting, as she set a sprig of rosemary down. He stepped closer, his gaze steady, not hiding the want in his eyes. "I need your Yin energy," he said, plain and direct, his tone carrying that edge that made her breath catch.

’He’s serious,’ she thought, her heart skipping, a flush creeping up her neck. She nodded quick, no hesitation, her eyes never leaving his. ’Anything for him,’ she thought, her body already warming at the thought of giving herself to him, body, soul, everything.

Lira stepped away from the table, wiping her hands on her tunic, her movements graceful but eager, like she’d been waiting for this.

Her innocent eyes softening with devotion, her pussy tingling as she crossed the room toward him. She’d always been ready for Lucas, always willing to open herself completely, her love for him as pure as her Yin energy, and now that he was asking, she wouldn’t hold back.

Lucas watched her approach, his smirk faint but there, his body tense with anticipation. ’She’s perfect,’ he thought, knowing her energy would be the key to regain what he’d lost, knowing she’d give it all without a second thought.

Lucas felt surprised....he knew he was starting to fall in love with her...but he wasn’t worried...he knew she was worth every thing.
