Solo Farming In The Tower -
Chapter 10: Welcome to the Kindergarten of Destruction! (10)

3,231 days before Sejun got stranded in the Black Tower.
<Beartrice>
Flap flap.
The first Calamity of Destruction, the Locusts, invaded.
However, making the word “invaded” seem meaningless, a festive atmosphere continued in Beartopia. (TL: Beartopia = Bear + Utopia)
“Kuhaha. Look at this! Huff.”
As a Crimson Giant Bear walked toward where the Locusts were gathered and took a deep breath, the Locusts were sucked into the mouth of the Crimson Giant Bear,
“Hehehe.”Crunch. Crunch.
The Crimson Giant Bear chewed and ate the Locusts alive and deliciously.
“Oh! I can suck in even more than that!”
“Really? Then let’s have a contest!”
“A contest?! Sounds good!”
After that, the second Calamity of Destruction, the Giant Blood-sucking Leeches, the third Calamity, the Fire Moth, and the fourth Calamity, the Petrifying Spider, invaded as well,
“Oh! This has an interesting taste.”
“Really? Then let me have a bite too.”
They were just good food.
Years passed like that.
“What is that?”
“A tower?”
A black giant tower appeared in Beartopia, but not many bears showed interest.
There was an abundance of food around, so they had no desire to go elsewhere.
Of course, not all bears were like that, and some curious bears formed an expedition team to explore inside the black tower.
And the one who led the expedition team was Princess Luluna Bears of Beartopia.
The expedition team slowly climbed the tower, gathering information about it, and in the process, love slowly bloomed.
Luluna fell in love with Max Zakran, the Mercenary King who protected the expedition team.
That didn’t mean they neglected their main task. As they moved through the tower, they learned many things.
That the things the bears were eating so deliciously were actually Calamities sent by Destruction.
That the residents of the black tower didn’t originally live there, but entered through the tower just like themselves.
That the purpose of the tower’s existence was to save the survivors of the destroyed world, among other things.
The more they learned, the more concerning things there were about the safety of Beartopia, but no one in the expedition team worried.
Because the bears were swallowing the Calamities whole the moment they found them. They thought there was absolutely no way Beartopia could ever fall.
Then one day.
“Max, I’m carrying your child.”
Luluna proudly announced her pregnancy to Max.
“Princess, is that true?! Oh. My goodness! Ah. That doesn’t mean I don’t want it. I’m just too happy. I’m so happy! Hahaha!”
Max embraced Luluna with a look as if he owned the world.
After a few months had passed and they reached the 66th floor of the tower,
“A race I’ve never seen before. Has the tower already connected to a new world?”
“Kyoot kyoot kyoot. I guess so, Master.”
The expedition team met a turtle crawling on the ground carrying a pure white baby hamster reading a book larger than herself on her back.
“Nice to meet you. I am Unso, the Master of the Gravity Wizard Tower.”
The turtle raised its body and introduced itself as the Master of the Gravity Wizard Tower,
“Kyoot kyoot kyoot. I’m Iona, Unso~nim’s disciple!”
The hamster rolled down from Unso’s back along with the book and immediately focused back on the book after introducing herself.
And then,
“Hmmm. I see a bit of Destruction’s energy built up in your bodies. Don’t tell me you ate the Calamities alive?”
“Yes. Is that not allowed?”
“Of course it’s not. Even eating the corpses builds up the energy of destruction, but eating them alive… Hurry and go warn your kin not to eat the Calamities. If you’re late, it could be dangerous!”
Unso gave a warning to the expedition team and even teleported them to the 1st floor of the black tower.
What welcomed the expedition team who returned to Beartopia after one year was not the paradise-like livable place they remembered, but a hell called Beartopia.
The land had turned barren like a desert,
Boom! Crash!
Kuaaargh!
The Crimson Giant Bears, with eyes full of killing intent, killed and ate each other.
Fortunately, not all of them were like that, but it was seen frequently enough on the way to the royal palace to be alarming.
Realizing the severity of the situation, the expedition team hurried toward the kingdom, only to find an even crueler hell.
“Kuhahaha. Welcome. My daughter Luluna. I wonder what flavor your flesh will have.”
It was Hyodouk, Luluna’s father and king of all Crimson Giant Bears, with bloodshot eyes, tearing the flesh off the queen, who greeted the returning expedition team.
“Ah…”
Luluna was overwhelmed with dizziness as she faced the faces of the queen and her siblings rolling on the floor in pain.
And then,
“No-!”
She collapsed, sobbing uncontrollably.
“Princess! We’re fleeing to the tower!”
As Luluna fell, Max led the expedition team back toward the black tower.
However, the road to the tower was not easy.
Rumble.
Thud.
The black towers near the royal palace were collapsing one by one under the attack of the Crimson Giant Bears.
The sky of Beartopia had turned gray at some point.

How much time had passed?
“Mm. Where is this?”
Luluna opened her eyes inside a hut.
“Princess, you’re awake… ugh… finally?”
Max, his eyes pale, opened his mouth in a painful voice.
“Max?”
Luluna hurriedly looked at Max.
“Max, you… how did you end up like this?!”
Luluna couldn’t easily continue speaking.
Max’s front left paw was roughly torn off, and there was a long claw mark across his side. Besides that, countless other wounds were visible.
“Hahaha. Mercenary King Max Zakran looks pretty pathetic now, doesn’t he? But with a bit of rest, I should be fine.”
Seeing Luluna looking at him with sorrowful eyes, Max forced a smile and tried to brighten his tone.
“What do you mean, fine?”
It was the most wonderful smile he’d ever shown in his life, but Luluna couldn’t stop her tears.
“Princess, let’s get up now. Can you walk?”
“Yes. But what about the other team members?”
“They died saving you, Princess.”
To Luluna’s question, Max answered in a heavy voice.
He could have said that they had comfortably returned home or escaped to make Luluna feel better, but Max didn’t do that.
Luluna had to know. The hearts of those who threw away their lives for her.
And she had to live desperately while holding onto those hearts. That was the responsibility owed by the one whose life had been spared.
The two moved in search of a black tower that had not yet collapsed.
Kuaaargh!
Kuang!
There were attacks from other bears along the way,
Kuang!
But Max blocked them well. As if to prove he hadn’t earned the title Mercenary King for nothing, Max, even with one missing front paw, overwhelmed the other bears.
And then,
“Max, I see a black tower over there!”
“Really!”
When Luluna spotted a black tower in the distance,
“Ugh!”
She was struck with labor pains. It was a signal of blessing that a new life was ready to come into the world, but the situation outside was far from a blessing.
“Let’s go somewhere safe first.”
Max supported Luluna, who looked ready to give birth at any moment, and brought her into a cave.
“Uugh!”
“Hahaha. Luluna, it’s a boy!”
Luluna gave birth to a child who resembled both her and Max.
For the sake of the child’s safety, they had no choice but to stop moving and care for him.
Everything was difficult, but that time was so happy it could never be forgotten.
But as all things come to an end, so did that happiness. Quickly.
A few days later.
“P…rinc… please take care of our child.”
Max asked while holding Luluna’s hand, breathing heavily. His body, which had been pushed too far, had reached its limit.
He knew how cruel this request was to Luluna, but he still had to ask.
It was the only way to save the child. And to save Luluna.
And then,
“Okay. Max, don’t worry. I’ll raise him well!”
As Max had expected, Luluna answered with a determined expression.
Tremble tremble.
Feeling the fear trembling through her hand, Max quietly closed his eyes. Forever.
As one life came to Luluna, one life left her.
After Max died,
Kuaaargh.
Luluna finally released the sobs she had been holding back and cried.
However, she had to regain her composure quickly. She was a mother. She had to be strong. Fortunately, the maternal instinct imprinted in her instincts made Luluna strong.
Luluna buried Max’s body in the ground, cared for the child, and moved toward the black tower.
Kuaar!
There were ambushes along the way, but she fought desperately and pressed forward toward the black tower.
And just as she was about to reach the black tower,
Kuaaargh!
Kuang!
An enormous number of Crimson Giant Bears were charging toward the black tower that Luluna was heading to.
No!
Luluna also ran madly toward the black tower with the child in her arms.
If the black tower ahead collapsed, she wasn’t sure if she could make it to another.
As everyone rushed toward the black tower, a massive shadow fell over them.
Goooooh.
At the same time, an immense force covered them no, covered all of Beartopia.
-Are there two intact survivors? Hurry and go inside.
After the great black dragon glanced at Luluna and spoke
Hhhup.
He took a deep breath, and Luluna hurried into the black tower.
After the two disappeared,
Kuaoooh.
The breath of Kaiser Pritani, the Great Black Dragon, extinguished the final breath of what was nearly a perished Beartopia.

Black Tower, 42nd floor.
About a month after entering the black tower,
“Mo…mmy…”
Luluna’s last hope called out to her one final time and ended his short life. Without even having a name.
Because Luluna hadn’t been able to properly nourish herself before giving birth, the baby was born weak and was fatally injured during their journey.
Despite receiving the best possible treatment in the black tower with the help of Unso, the Master of the Gravity Wizard Tower, it was no use.
Like pouring water into a bottomless jar, the child’s condition only worsened, and eventually, he left Luluna’s side as well.
A short while later.
“No… My son isn’t dead… he can get better with treatment.”
Luluna, with a crazed expression, wandered the tower aimlessly with her dead child in her arms. She couldn’t let go of her final hope.
“When mad Pink-fur-nim wandered the tower clutching the corpse of her dead child…”
Kuang.
[Thanks to Cuengi, I was able to come to my senses.]
Pink-fur interjected into Minotaur 2009’s story.
[Black Tower 99F Poisonous Bee No. 13,124: [Honeybee News Exclusive!] Shocking testimony from Black Minotaur 2009! The true identity of Pink-fur-nim is Luluna Bears, Princess of Beartopia!][Black Tower 99F Poisonous Bee No. 13,124: [Honeybee News Exclusive!] Pink-fur nim originally had a husband!]
Because of Poisonous Bee No. 13,124, who kept uploading news to the Full-time Employee Communication Network, it was impossible not to know.
Moo…moo!
[Pink-fur~nim, this is… uh… he’s the one who asked me to say it!]
Flustered Minotaur 2009 pointed to Minotaur 2004.
Moo…moo! Moo-moo!
[Wh-When did I?! You’re the one who said you knew everything and stepped up first!]
Minotaur 2004 shouted back, pointing at Minotaur 2009.
If one of them was judged to be at fault here, they might lose a horn. So they were desperate.
However.
Kuhohoho. Kuang.
[Hohoho. It’s alright.]
Pink-fur didn’t blame them at all. It was a sad and painful story, but it was in the past.
And.
Child. Are you doing well there with your dad?
“Cuengi, you’re not even coming to visit your mom?! Do I have to come over there?”
Pink-fur was living in the present. With a slightly upset expression, Pink-fur packed a tuna lunchbox and began preparing to descend the tower.
Before she knew it, the night sky of the 99th floor of the black tower was beginning to brighten with the sunrise.
