Chapter 70: "Trying To Comfort Reiji"
Chapter 70: "Trying To Comfort Reiji"
[MATURE CONTENT]
Reiji kept drinking, glass after glass, his movements sharp and careless. The bitterness in his throat couldn’t compare to the one in his chest.
Eden approached slowly, concern etched on his face. "Reiji, what are you doing? Are you alone here? Where are your guards?"
Reiji didn’t even glance at him. He poured another drink, his voice cold and slurred with emotion. "It’s none of your business. Stay away."
Eden stepped closer. "I know it’s not my business... but you’re Kai’s cousin. That’s why I’m worried."
Finally, Reiji turned to look at him. His eyes were bloodshot, filled with a mess of anger, frustration, and pain. "Look, American guy—don’t argue with me. I’m already in a bad mood, so stay away. This is your last warning."
Eden froze for a moment, taking in Reiji’s broken state. Then his eyes dropped to Reiji’s hand... and noticed something missing.
The engagement ring.
"You... you broke the engagement with Kai," Eden said softly.
Reiji let out a bitter laugh, eyes still fixed on his drink. "Yeah," he muttered, "I broke the engagement."
Eden nodded slowly, his voice soft. "I know... it must be hard for you."
Reiji scoffed, lips curling into a cold smile. "Look who’s trying to comfort me—the one who tried to fool me."
Eden lowered his gaze, guilt flickering across his face. "I’m sorry for that. I didn’t mean to hurt you."
Reiji downed another shot before replying flatly, "I don’t need your sorry. Just get out of my sight."
Eden exhaled, disappointed but understanding. He turned around without another word and returned to his table, quietly rejoining his friends.
Reiji kept drinking, his expression unreadable, buried in his own storm of emotions. Across the room, Eden couldn’t help but glance back at him again and again—each time, a little more worried.
A girl approached Reiji, swaying confidently as she made her way to his table. Eden, still sitting with his friends, noticed her immediately. She sat down beside Reiji, pressing close, her hand gliding over his chest in a seductive motion.
Reiji didn’t react at first—until he suddenly gripped her waist, pulling her toward him. Without hesitation, the two of them stood up and walked together toward the restroom.
Eden’s heart sank. His jaw clenched as he muttered under his breath, "What are you doing, Reiji?" He stood up abruptly and followed them, pushing through the crowd.
When he entered the restroom, what he saw made his eyes widen.
Reiji’s shirt was unbuttoned, his hands roaming hungrily over the girl’s body. He kissed her neck, clearly lost in the heat of the moment. She responded eagerly, moaning softly as they prepared to go further.
"Reiji!" Eden shouted, stepping forward. Without thinking, he rushed over and shoved the girl away from him.
Reiji staggered slightly, turning to Eden with fury in his eyes. "What the hell are you doing?!"
"You’re drunk, Reiji," Eden snapped. "Let’s go."
Reiji shoved Eden back. "I want to have sex! Get out of my way!" He reached for the girl again, grabbing her wrist.
The girl, confused, looked between the two men.
Eden stepped in front of her once more, voice firm. "Please, just go."
She huffed and straightened her dress. "What the hell? If you love your boyfriend so much, maybe don’t leave him alone next time. What a waste of time," she spat, then stormed out of the restroom.
Eden was still holding onto Reiji’s arm. Reiji growled, eyes dark. "What do you want, huh?! You bastard!"
He shoved Eden again, but Eden didn’t let go. Instead, he pulled Reiji close—and kissed him deeply.
Reiji’s eyes widened in shock.
Eden pulled back, breathless. "If you want sex," he said, voice trembling, "then do it with me."
Reiji stood frozen, stunned and speechless.
Without waiting for an answer, Eden grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the restroom.
Eden opened the car door and gently guided Reiji inside. Reiji, still in shock and clearly drunk, didn’t resist—he simply stared ahead in silence, his mind spinning.
Eden closed the door, got in beside him, and started the engine. The ride was quiet. Neither of them said a word. Only the soft hum of the engine filled the heavy air between them.
After some time, Eden pulled up in front of his apartment. He turned off the engine and stepped out, quickly moving to the passenger side. He opened the door and helped Reiji out.
Reiji stumbled slightly, his body unsteady from the alcohol. Eden wrapped an arm around him and led him toward the house. Reiji groaned and tried to pull away.
"What are you doing...?" he mumbled, voice slurred.
Eden didn’t respond. He opened the door, pulled Reiji inside, and shut it behind them with a soft click.
Without a word, he grabbed Reiji by the waist, holding him tightly.
"I’m just doing what you said," Eden murmured, voice low and breathless. "Let’s do sex."
Reiji blinked slowly, his eyes bloodshot, full of confusion and vulnerability. He stared at Eden, not knowing what to say.
Before he could speak, Eden leaned in and kissed him—hungrily, passionately, desperately.
Reiji finally responded, his lips moving in sync with Eden’s as their kiss deepened—hungry, full of heat and frustration. Eden’s hands clutched tightly around Reiji’s waist, while Reiji’s fingers curled around Eden’s neck, pulling him closer, not wanting to let go.
Still locked in the kiss, they stumbled slowly toward the bedroom, lips never parting. The tension between them burned with every step.
As they reached the bed, Eden sat down, slightly breathless, and pulled off his shirt. Reiji’s gaze swept across Eden’s bare torso, slow and intense. Without hesitation, he moved closer, hands sliding around Eden’s waist before pressing a gentle kiss against his stomach.
Eden’s fingers threaded through Reiji’s hair, holding him there for a moment, his breathing shallow. Then, suddenly, Eden pushed him down onto the mattress, eyes dark with want. He climbed over him, their bodies fitting perfectly as he hovered above.
Their eyes locked—filled with unspoken emotion, lust, and confusion.
Eden leaned down, brushing a soft kiss on Reiji’s cheek... then lower to his ear.
"You’re mine tonight," he whispered, voice hoarse.
He kissed Reiji’s neck, then slowly licked along the sensitive skin, devouring him with every breath.
Reiji let out a soft moan, eyes fluttering shut.
Their clothes slowly slipped off, piece by piece, falling to the floor as if time itself had slowed. Warm skin pressed against skin, breaths mingling in the quiet hum of the bedroom. Eden leaned down, lips trailing across Reiji’s chest before his tongue flicked over a nipple, teasing it gently.
Reiji gasped softly, fingers sliding through Eden’s hair.
"That tickles..." he whispered, his voice laced with shyness and arousal.
Eden chuckled low against his skin. "They taste too good to ignore."
He continued to lavish attention there, slow and deliberate, while Reiji squirmed under him, letting out soft, broken moans. Eden looked up, his eyes dark and focused.
"Say my name, Reiji... I want to hear you."
Reiji, breath hitching, whispered, "Eden..."
The sound of it made Eden’s eyes flutter briefly. He moved lower, his touch reverent as he gently coaxed Reiji’s legs apart. Reiji didn’t resist—he just followed Eden’s lead, body trembling under every new sensation, completely surrendering to the moment.
Eden tore open the silver packet, his hands steady despite the heat between them. He leaned down, gently parting Reiji’s legs, positioning himself with care.
Reiji tensed, his fingers gripping the sheets.
"Eden—it hurts," he gasped, eyes glistening with tears.
Eden immediately paused, his hand softly brushing Reiji’s thigh.
"Shh... Just breathe, okay? I promise it gets better," he said gently. "Once we’re in sync, it’ll feel amazing."
Reiji nodded slowly, his body trembling under the weight of sensation and trust. Eden pressed a soft kiss to his leg, whispering,
"I’ll be gentle."
As Eden began to move, their bodies gradually found a rhythm, and Reiji’s sharp breaths gave way to moans of pleasure.
"How does it feel now?" Eden murmured, his voice husky.
Reiji nodded, biting his lip. "It feels... so good."
A slow, tender smile curved Eden’s lips as he pressed another kiss to Reiji’s thigh, never taking his eyes off the man beneath him.
After a while, the room fell into a quiet stillness. The air was heavy, but not uncomfortable—just warm with shared breath and tangled limbs. Reiji lay on Eden’s chest, his cheek resting gently as he listened to the steady rhythm of Eden’s heartbeat. Eden ran his fingers slowly through Reiji’s hair, soothing and calm.
Eden (softly): "Does it still hurt?"
Reiji (quietly): "A little bit."
Eden looked down at him, brushing a thumb across Reiji’s cheek.
Eden: "I’m sorry... for lying to you before."
Reiji: "It’s not your fault. I was the one fooling myself—thinking that maybe one day I could win Kai’s heart. But I didn’t. And now... I can’t keep lying to myself. I need to accept the truth."
Eden didn’t speak right away. He just kept tracing soft lines through Reiji’s hair, holding him gently, like someone trying to protect something fragile. Then he tilted Reiji’s face up and kissed him softly—slow, meaningful.
Eden: "I understand your pain... because I’ve been there too."
Reiji blinked and looked at him, surprised.
Reiji: "You have?"
Eden nodded with a faint smile, but his eyes held a glimmer of sadness.
Eden: "I had a crush on someone once. I dropped hints, tried to stay close... but he never noticed. And one day, just like that, he got married to his boyfriend. I lost him."
Reiji remained silent, his fingers lightly brushing Eden’s chest as he processed the words.
In that quiet space, with just the soft hum of the night around them, both of them found a piece of comfort in each other’s pain—a shared moment of vulnerability that didn’t need anything else.
