Sky-cracking Rider
Chapter 1060 - 1060: Section 1041 - The Federation's Civil Strife

Chen Fei is currently at the lowest point of his combat power, with only one Element Annihilation Bomb left at the bottom of his chest. Even a one-on-one battle is tough, let alone a full-scale star system defense battle like before.

Since someone is providing supplies for free, of course, he's happy to accept it. Who wouldn't want a free ride!

"No problem, I'll give you the list right away. The faster the supplies come, the better; you never know when they might be needed again."

Ding! The supply list has been sent successfully!

The Artificial Intelligence AI "Adam" transmitted instantly, with all the basic account transactions included.

The enormous storage capacity of the "Spatial Branding" means it cannot be monopolized by Chen Fei alone. Even if he packs up big properties like houses, it wouldn't occupy even a small corner, like a drop in the ocean.

The vast amount of materials for filling the "Spatial Branding" won't be entirely funded by Chen Fei. His savings and profit shares from his business partnerships are enough for a lifetime of worry-free living, but still pale in comparison to the total value of the massive inventory.

Colonel Yang's words represent the will of The First Sovereign. The counterattack against the "Sagali" civilization cannot rely entirely on a single wealthy corporation, not even if the other party is willing to sacrifice everything without asking for anything in return.

Everyone watches as Chen Xiao'er becomes a One Man Army, Lord Landon single-handedly opposing a nation. If the convention of the victor taking the lion's share stands, then if the "Sagali" civilization is repelled one day, should Blue Star be renamed Landon Star?

Then where would the faces of the sovereigns be?

Which of the Five Permanent Members of the United Nations didn't achieve their status with lives sacrificed? An inch of land, an inch of blood, want the nine-dash line? Sure, trade it with your life! Once enough lives are sacrificed, it's yours, no questions asked, but not enough? Sorry, then it's national destruction, leaving not a chicken or dog behind.

It's a recurring theme throughout history, so now the sovereign powers are scrambling to pay up.

"Your AI is indeed more effective than Cybertrom's derivatives."

Colonel Yang, head of The First Sovereign, received a tablet from his assistant and started swiping through the newly received supply list, most of which had been consumed during the Antalu Planet and star system defense plans. The rest were supplemental materials for alien environments, like the "Skylight," which is almost essential, requiring at least enough to cover a locality the size of "Atlantis," even if not for war, perhaps for building a refuge.

"I can give you access to 'Adam'."

Chen Fei was not surprised by his counterpart's evaluation because it was true.

"Adam" is the most professional war AI, designed with learning models and underlying core modules born for war, whereas "Cybertrom" is more adept at comprehensive applications in civil domains, able to do many things but not specialized in any particular field.

Nobody knows that "Adam" has handed over the underlying core control key and is no longer as dangerous as it was over thirty years ago.

"No need!"

Colonel Yang shook his head without hesitation, as there can be no risk in matters of military and national importance.

Given "Adam"'s past, Blue Star Humans could not trust this AI again, opting instead to introduce the less professional "Cybertrom" into the military sphere, whose capabilities are relatively inferior, but at least operable.

Chen Fei asked, "When can we expect the supply materials to arrive?"

The star system defense operations consumed all kinds of war materials. Now, he no longer has the capacity to initiate a decently executed war, as if reverted to his original state.

"It's expected to take a week; the logistics need to follow procedures."

Colonel Yang, the leader of The First Sovereign, immediately sent the list back to the homeland. Not to mention the Element Annihilation Bombs on the list, even strategic-level super bombs like the "Tsar Plus" must be provided.

Several encounters with the "Sagali" civilization have proven that no amount of firepower output is considered excessive.

"Will other sovereigns bear any of the burden?"

This free ride deal shouldn't burden just one sheep.

"Europa will cover some, and Asia will jointly share a portion. The American Federation might not be able to manage right now!"

Colonel Yang paused and continued, "You might want to check the news later; the American Federation is in big trouble!"

"What's the situation?"

Chen Fei was taken aback. What kind of mess did the American Federation stir up again?

"Civil unrest! The entire North Continent is in a turmoil, with some federal states seizing the opportunity to declare independence, and the chaos is even spreading to the South Continent with signs of extending outward."

Colonel Yang provided a key piece of information.

"Oh! I'll take a look later. How about the home front? Nothing chaotic, right?"

Chen Fei nodded.

"The people at home are all watching the American Federation's spectacle. The authorities are considering whether to evacuate citizens, as the unrest in the American Federation doesn't seem like it'll settle anytime soon. Recently, there's been a notable influx of entry applications to the homeland, with review periods extending up to two months."

Colonel Yang shared some official inside information.

The sudden chaos in the American Federation has multiple causes, but the simultaneous eruption of various conflicts caught everyone by surprise. The American Federation government's reaction to the unrest is equally astonishing, only explicable with words like overwhelmed and racing against time, but nothing helped. They failed to quench the turmoil quickly, further exacerbating discord, with individual federal states embroiled in skirmishes, even deploying armored vehicles in the streets.

Presently, the situation isn't exclusive to the American Federation. Even within Europa, some unsettling signs are emerging.

Chen Fei tentatively asked, "Isn't it something orchestrated by sinister forces like the 'Water Bear'?"

"That, I wouldn't know, unless specific clearance to access related intelligence files was applied for."

Colonel Yang spread his hands, indicating he wasn't in that line of work, so he wasn't familiar.

"Got it!"

Chen Fei didn't probe further, being a citizen of The First Sovereign and with his girlfriend being one too, the chaotic warfare in the American Federation, regardless of its scale, had nothing to do with him.

"Are you guys planning a barbecue later? I can arrange a spot for you, away from the Airship."

Colonel Yang knew from the start what those flyers wanted. After surviving out in space and returning to Blue Star, the accumulated stress needed releasing, and a barbecue feast was a simple solution he, as the big boss, couldn't possibly refuse.

"Thanks!"

Chen Fei had no reason to decline the leader of The First Sovereign's generous offer.

The food, seasoning, and barbecue equipment were all ready to go, and just finding a few people would be enough to get things moving.

Having secured the crucial supply scheme and heard some unexpected news, Chen Fei didn't linger much after wrapping up business and quickly excused himself.

He found the chosen barbecue spot, set up all the equipment, and didn't even need to look for manpower. Anyone passing by usually volunteered to help after seeing the setup. A rare barbecue feast naturally drew more attraction than standard ration packs, even though The First Sovereign's military rations weren't that bad.

Taking advantage of others handling the work, Chen Fei took the opportunity to make a few phone calls.

Ever since being trapped on Antalu Planet with the "Wall of Sighs" operational team, he was practically disconnected.

Now, having returned to Blue Star alive and well, especially after hearing the news about the American Federation's turmoil, Chen Fei thought of a few people.

Veteran "Eagle King" David Sid was not affected by the sudden unrest due to his "Eagle Nest" private airport's remote location. The nearby small town had few inhabitants, and upon noticing early signs of trouble, he quickly stocked up on supplies and began an isolated lifestyle. Coupled with the airport's self-sufficiency, there was no need to worry about basic living needs for a considerable period, at least not running out of toilet paper.

Lord Louis Landon's situation was less favorable, with half of Louis Industrial Company's operations halted and under various attacks, affecting even their production lines and inventory significantly.
