Corey stood alone beneath the shadow of the shattered Archive, and his gaze was locked in the monstrous form that loomed above him.

Dust and ash still swirled in the air, but through the chaos, his mind was calm.

His left eye changed, and a series of rapidly changing letters, numbers, symbols, and images flashed in his eyes.

Instantly, data flooded his mind, and he saw the stats of the Tier 6 abomination before him.

These were the stats Corey could obtain as quickly as possible from the creature due to the vast difference in Tier between them.

If he had more time, he would have been able to see all the stats of the monster, most especially, its skills.

However, this was enough for him.

He was a little bit surprised at the monster’s name, but knowing the monster had a name was better for him.

’Eidolon, huh.’ Corey thought with calm expression as his gaze never left the monster.

Apart from the monster’s name, its attributes was also extremely important and useful to him.

’Its Endurance and Constitution are its two highest stats... Surprisingly, its Dexterity is the next.’

His gaze shifted to the arms and several appendages on the monster.

’Or is it because it has so many arms?’

Only three seconds had passed since Corey used Record, and his Stars of Consciousness created thousands of simulations that could occur in the battle.

A hiss escaped the creature’s maw, and Corey turned his neck to the side, causing a soft crack to resound.

He tilted his head slightly, and then an amused smile appeared on his lips despite the danger.

Flaming words erupted beside him.

"Come, Eidolon. Let’s dance."

The Eidolon’s eyes narrowed in confusion and anger at the appearance of the strange words beside Corey.

Although it couldn’t understand the flaming words, it knew that one of the words was its name, and it was baffled and surprised by this.

Meanwhile, Corey did not care about this.

His body swayed, and white lightning sparks appeared on his legs.

He calmly took a step forward, and the ground beneath his feet got scorched as white lightning sparks appeared around his feet.

He vanished, and left behind arcs of white lightning in his wake.

He appeared on Eidolon’s upper back, right between two protruding spines.

THRUM!

The world thrummed as Corey swung his Genesis Armament at the spines that were about to attack him.

His Phantom Plague Axe Heart Intent thrummed to life as the spines around him were cut in two.

The Eidolon screamed in rage, and the black runes on its body unleashed a fiery black glow.

Corey’s Genesis Armament spun in his hand, and before the black runes on the Eidolon could flare to life, Corey swung his axe down.

Corey used all these skills, and unlike before when he would have used these skills, there was a major difference.

Not only were Painful Echo, Soul Entropy, and Vibration Manipulation at the Transcendent skill proficiency level, he could utilize Dreamfire and Phantom Plague Axe Heart Intent much better compared to before.

THRUUUMMM!!!

The world howled, and space rippled far and wide as Corey’s Genesis Armament slammed into the flesh of the Eidolon.

A flash of numerous colours filled the world for a moment, and then it was followed by an extremely loud shriek from the Eidolon.

Its stitched mouth bulged as it shrieked, and for a moment, it looked like the Eidolon was about to shatter the stitches on its mouth.

But it held.

Its spines flared violently, and one of the rune-inscribed segments twisted up and shot toward Corey like a serpent striking.

He jumped back, and flipped midair as the hand-like tendrils below lunged at him.

However, they were too many even for him to dodge.

Not only that, they were perfectly positioned in a manner in which he would definitely get injured if he tried to dodge.

Noxious Chains

Black chains erupted from the ground, and they coiled around Eidolon’s tendrils and momentarily stopped their movement, allowing Corey the opportunity to dodge the remaining tendrils.

Eidolon screeched in annoyance, and its body split at the seams... Literally.

New sections peeled out from its flesh, and thin, emaciated, clawed arms extended from the fresh growth.

Corey’s eyes flashed, and he swung his Genesis Armament.

Claw Rune

An energy reddish black claw shot out from the axe as Corey used one of its runes.

The clawed arms were cut into two, and a hexagon barrier appeared beneath Corey’s feet as he shot toward Eidolon’s face.

However, the monster suddenly split a part of itself and flung the new, smaller form at Corey with unnatural speed.

’A clone?’

’It’s obviously not a perfect copy, but how many can it create?... If it can create hundreds or thousands of it, then that is dangerous because this clone has the power of a Tier 5.’

Corey’s eyes flashed as his axe met the clone midair.

Bang!

They clashed, and their clash released a powerful shockwave that spread for hundreds of meters.

The clone’s body suddenly burst apart, and a hundred bladed arms shot out of its body.

Corey stood on top of his hexagon barrier, and then he spread out his palm.

Miasmic Wind

Arcane Elemental Runeweaving

A mini cyclone appeared above his palm, and then he threw it at the incoming bladed arms.

The cyclone grew bigger, and until it became a massive tornado in the blink of an eye.

The clone screeched as it was spun around in the tornado, and then Corey clenched his fists.

The tornado exploded, and green, noxious air exploded.

It corroded the clone instantly, melting its body like acid melting a doll.

Corey’s instincts suddenly screamed at him, and without hesitation, he vanished using the Void.

He appeared on top of a shattered pillar, and his narrowed pure white eyes reflected the sight of a massive red beam suddenly piercing a hole at his previous location.
