Chapter 129: Do Not Hate Me
Chapter 129: Do Not Hate Me
The images went on and there was nothing as William explained, about Basker saying those words or even a scene he doesn’t remember.
Everything here was what William knows
There were no answers to his memories being taken. Instead, I got a whole glimpse of William’s entire life here in this orb. Flashing through my eyes like a never-ending image, everything about him... his times in the library, reading, cataloging, learning from Basker, at the earliest he was the only one in the library... Basker was mostly asleep in his form and William was left alone most of the time.
I finally caught a glimpse of Basker and what he looked like... indeed he is an avatar of this place, he doesn’t have a physical body but instead, he appeared to William in the form of a root face, mostly in the top of the fireplace or on walls, it was bit scary but that was what he is... he was the extension of the very library, HE is the library himself before William took over
And then the image moved to a scene in the garden and I watched as William placed a kiss on a butterfly and then it transformed into a girl.
Elvenia
Another scene of a brown lion raiding the library... William looked to be a teenager there, how the lion stopped in its tracks and overcame by fear when he set his eyes on him, something being said but it was inaudible, the lion going into a submissive position and then placing his head on William’s palm, it transformed into a boy his age.
Severus
Another play of a little fox William found in the garden of the Library, curled up and lost and I smiled knowing without a doubt that it was Sophia because of the fur.
Everyone found their way to William in some way or the other, and it was truly interesting to watch. To watch William grow into the man he is, watch him working each day in the library and the three tending to him.
A scene played of William in the library and Sophia sitting on his lap as he showed her something and she was trying her hardest to listen.
Severus there saying something and Sophia sticking her tongue out to him.
It played to the kitchen, William, showing Elvenia what to do as she listened carefully, on her first baking she burnt everything and she apologizes by bowing her head numerous times.
It was a long way.
And through the orbs, I saw everything for myself... William really didn’t know when his memory was taken... he wasn’t the one that wiped his memory but someone did... not Basker but something who blamed William for taking me.
But what did William take me away from exactly? What was his reason for doing such a thing? And leaving me in the mortal realm? Judging from everything I found out... it seems my birthplace lies here.
I come from here, I was a magical creature of this dimension but there was much I did not know much about. William was trying to remember but he couldn’t.
Sensing I was done with it... the orb automatically levitated off my grip and dropped to its ice stand. Before I turned to William who hadn’t taken his eyes off me, I could feel his burning gaze all the way through.
Silence brooded between us as we stared into each other’s eyes with unspoken feelings. I was first to level my gaze, unable to look further, looking side eyes and suddenly feeling awkward in the eating silence. I turned on my heels to walk away but a hand on my waist stopped me.
As well as the body heat coming forth and pressing against me from behind. I remained still.. not moving, I might as well be like the ice here, frozen in place.
"Do you hate me, Ava?’’ His question came just as his breath washed over my neck and I shuddered from the warmth, his body was giving off a strong heat and the cold of this place was gone in a blink of an eye.
"Do not hate me, sweetness, it breaks my heart"
I struggled to find my voice, so I just stayed silent, closing my eyes and imprinting how his warmth felt on my body.
"We will find the truth out together, I will sort out your origins myself... anything you want... so please do not hate me"
My breathing hitched when I felt his teeth grease the helix of my ear.
"Do not leave me"
Another nib
And I instantly gripped his arms around me, to steady myself, my body was reacting to his simple gestures in such a grave way that my legs were about to give out.
But suddenly he stopped and I released a sharp breath, I felt his heat retreating and I twirled and held his gaze and he did the same not once looking apart from each other.
"Hate is a strong word"
A small flashed his lips. "You demonstrated just how much you do in the past month"
I hugged myself. "I was angry and hurt"
"I understand your feelings, Ava, you saw something your heart couldn’t handle, and being the ludicrous man I am... I cannot even remember it and it still doesn’t change the fact that I did leave you"
"I want to understand this as much as you do, I want to know why..." I shifted my level gaze to his. He walked to me and my chin tilted up to keep his crystal green eyes.
"I want to understand just as much as you do too... punish me if you must for being such a foolish man for not keeping his memory"
"After everything seen in that orb... it is not your fault" I mumbled and he placed his hand on my chin to keep our gaze back.
"It is... like I said it doesn’t change anything and I will understand if you never forgive me"
My eyes trembled at his words.
Our faces were inches apart now and honestly, I do not have in me to pull away from him, his touch, a whole month of constantly avoiding him has turned into something else.
I have never been so sexually frustrated before, I felt like a deprived horny beast. With my pain and anger being my driving force these past weeks... I was able to ignore it, but where in hell’s name was that pain and anger keeping my body moving? I cannot feel it.. all I feel is the gentle stroke of his thumb against my cheek.
The fluttering pressure in my chest, the heat slipping in from all angles, and a strong ache between my lips that pulse and wanted him to fill me up.
Just a little more movement and our lips will touch, just like they did earlier in the room, I can still taste him in my mouth, the softness of his sweet lips, how wet and demanding they were, and just an inch closer I would get to feel them against mine again.
"Kiss me, Ava"
His soft command came and a chill followed along with his words, gaining no response from me his heated expression shifted.
"If you do not want to then it’s fine"
If I do not want to?
I grabbed his collar just as I did before and brought him down to my level and brought his lips to mine in a hot demanding kiss, the tension in my body flexed all throughout and it was suddenly hot like someone turned on the furnace! I pulled away to catch my breath, for I did it so quickly and didn’t have any time to breathe properly.
William only watched me with a smile on his lips as my chest rose and fell. I blushed.
"W-What?"
He pressed his thumb on my cheeks as if trying to detail the blush there. "I haven’t seen this for a while now" he mused.
And subconsciously it got heavier. I cleared my throat pulling away from him, letting my eyes feast on the environment other than him.
"The books here are curses?" I asked hoping to divert the topic and ignore how hot and wet I am.
"Yes", his reply was in an amused tone and it felt like he was enjoying my stall.
"Hmm," I made a sound only walking to a shelf, but I didn’t dare go closer, William said the books here were dangerous and found from cruelty so I guess it’s best I keep my distance.
But I couldn’t ignore the pulsing feeling I got from them and the perilous aura that was very foreign. I lingered... keeping my eyes on them and the more I got sucked in by its power, it was so alluring and yet so scary.
"Ava!"
I gasped finally grasping the situation. When did I reach for the book?
I turned to William with wide eyes. "I-I didn’t know when I-"
"The books have the tendencies for luring, mostly the cursed-filled ones"
I instantly backed away from them like the mere closure burned me and I slammed a hard frame behind me.
I gasped when William wrapped his hand around my neck from behind and leaned to my ear and said.
"Wouldn’t want such cursed books to harm my wife or else I might be forced to plunge this place out of existence"
