Chapter 102: Sweet Dreams

¤●¤

The moment William pulled his thickness out of me, my body suddenly shook in pain, making me wince and a frown taking up my features. My body was trembling like I was cold, my muscles felt so strained and my body felt too heavy.

I leaned more into William’s hold when he carried me off the bed like a delicate glass, my gaze landing on the bed and I almost hitch in my breath when I saw what lay there. Why is there so much blood?

I couldn’t look anymore for I knew the answer to my question, the extreme ache between my legs was enough to tell me. With every movement, I felt like my body would split into two and I just focused on William’s soothing words instead and light kisses on my forehead.

The moment I felt the water against my body I almost sighed in relief, I couldn’t stand though, so I had to sit on the platform but the water was still above chest level, the water was warm and relieved a little of the ache but not my tiredness.

I was still like a doll as William washes every inch of me, I guess he finally got his wish to bathe me and I almost joke about that fact but I was too tired to even speak. So instead a smile remained on my lips watching his every action, his deep concentration as he cleansed me.

This shouldn’t cause butterflies in my stomach but it did.

A feeling of loss came when William told me he would be right back. I wanted to cling to him but I refrain from doing so knowing he has to take care of something.

And thankfully it didn’t take long and he was back. I happily cling to him again not caring how gummy I got, I seemed like a second Sophia now but I don’t care, the comfort I got from his body was too pleasing, I just need him by my side, or else my heart might give out from his absence, that is how I feel right now.

He dried me up and carried me back to the chambers, my eyes were half closed and sleepily and I couldn’t even register anything. William gently told me to drink something and I had to force myself to drink it, the bitter taste told me what it was. A tonic.

When I felt the bed extreme relief overcame me, my naked frame against the soft surface and William pulling me gently against his naked body.

I placed my head against his chest and hugged him, my leg coming up on his waist, I whine feeling pain between my legs, but thankfully the bathing water seemed to have a little healing effect, my sore muscles felt so relaxed, and having his hold on me made everything better, the action of his hand running up and down my hair was so wonderful.

But sleep and tiredness were already consuming me. William said something to me but I was too sleepy, having to be in the arms of the man I love and my husband, a smile on my lips all through.

William stirred awake, he hadn’t even realized he had fallen asleep... the moment he had her in his arms and her tiny frame clinging to his body the rest was history. His dream was nothing but the beauty sleeping beside him, gazing upon him with a smile on her lips... as the wind carried her beautiful hair, was it just him, or was her hair longer than usual in his dream?

"Ava" he mumbled hoping to feel her body but he met with the cold air, confused, he flicked his eyes open and met with an empty bed.

With a start, he sat up and scanned the room but she was nowhere to be seen.

"Ava!" he called, was she in the bath? He can’t smell her there, in fact, her scent was completely gone like she was erased.

He turned to the dresser where he supposedly thought he folded a piece of a nightgown for her to wear when she woke up but it was gone!

That was all it took for William to panic and his insides twisting.

She’s gone!

His sense of thinking was gone... he was already mind-linking his servants as he stormed out of bed and out of the room. He mentally told himself to calm down so that he can trace her scent properly but no... there is no calming down, his muscles can’t stop taunting with every desperate attempt he takes.

Why did she leave?

Why?

She promised him!

So Why?

WHY?!

He might lose his very sanity if he kept pondering on the facts.

"Master you called," Elvenia said coming into view but upon seeing her master as naked as day she blushed and leveled her gaze. What was going on? Why wasn’t he in clothes?

"Search the entire mansion, right now!" His orders were sharp and dark, passing her like she didn’t stand there, she opened her mouth to speak but she wasn’t so sure that was a good idea, the look her master had was enough to send a shiver down her spine.

"Ava is missing," he mumbled, running his hand through his silver hair in distress, his voice was forced mostly than speaking and the air was growing colder and colder, at this point the entire place will be covered in ice.

"W-What?" her eyes widened.

"Master" Severus came into view.

"Both of you search the entire area for Ava, I will look for her in the forest," he said and before they could ask what was going on he was already out the door into the night.

"She’s missing?" Elvenia said in total confusion.

"I’m aware... come we must search"

"But she can’t just disappear just like that"

"I know"

"Severus!"

"I know!" he snapped, facing her. "Look I’m just as worried as the Master" he added before chewing the inside of his mouth. "He might go berserk again, let us do what we can to find her"

Elvenia tensed at his words for she knew he was right.

William paced into the woods, rolling his shoulder, he had to find a way to trace her and pick up her scent, and doing that on two legs won’t do it.

His fox form will be faster, and so he transformed his body... his body warped into a silver light, and his Fox came forth with a growl.
