Chapter 203: The Merge
Chapter 203: The Merge
During our bath Nicklaus watched me like a hawk and his hands kept reaching for me, he was alert and careful not to feel too comfortable with our surroundings, it got me worried, how can he possibly keep this up? Sooner or later we might not be in the same location, there would be a time he would have to attend to his Emperor duties and focus on other things, he can’t possibly keep an eye on me like this?
We were both dressed, I settled with a red silk gown that fell straight to my legs, long sleeve and the front covered my breast looked like a robe wrap, I noticed my silver hair had some straight qualities now, it was no long wavy like it use to, it fell straight all the way to my waist, and my natural bangs fell straight too and pushing to the sides just so to reveal my blue crescent moon tattoo on my forehead.
Nicklaus wore the usual black royal attire that was simply breathtaking on him, our hands locked as we exited the cottage, I remembered our talk now, something about merging our realms?
"How do you intend to do it... something like that must require a very powerful spell," I said.
"Yes, it does," he said as for a brief second we stopped, with a wave of his hand a portal opened before us and he led me within, it took some seconds and then we were in a dark hall, lit by torches.
We strolled and made a turn and I came into view of the space, it looked just like his personal study room back in the Mortal Realm. The space looked like a cathedral, the ceiling was well crafted with every detail, a chandelier was suspended to it, lighted with candles, about three were also against the two sides of the wall but not as big as the one against the ceiling, it gave this atmosphere of calmness and solitude.
The walls were well crafted majestically, with black wallpapers but embodied with golden design. The center had a chess color floor, it was marble, smooth and shiny.
"Wow, this looks like..."
"I know" he mused. "This is my spell Library, I keep it tethered away from the Realms because of my Dark Grimoire, wouldn’t want it to get in the wrong hands"
We walked up the rectangle stance holding a book at the center purely black. "I remember this..." I said as my memories of the Holy Library flooded in. "This book was part of the special collection kept in a restricted area," I said.
"Well Basker gifted it to me"
"Hmm he must really find you amusing... he’s always careful with Knowledge I’m surprised he gave you this"
"So you think I’m not careful?" he raised an eyebrow.
"I didn’t say that Nicklaus," I said amused.
He made a hmm sound. "I’m the first and the last to ever see the Library. I guess it’s why he gave it to me, I think of it as a trophy for my knowledge," he said, opening the book, the pages were black and the words were written in gold.
"Merging Realm is going to be quite difficult Nicklaus... even though you find the spell" I reasoned but he seemed passionate about it and his entire focus on the Grimoire, I sighed knowing exactly why he was doing this, he was doing this for me so that I would be closer to my animals even in the Vampire Realm.
The Spirit Forest had a Spring Season and the Vampire Realm was pure winter because of Nicklaus’ powers.
"There it is," he started tapping on the book.
"Nicklaus" I took his hand.
"Nothing you say will change my mind" he began in a firm tone. "This is for your sake"
"I know, this isn’t about merging Realms but the weather too, is too powerful"
"Have you forgotten who you’re speaking to?"
My features grew more worried, he placed his hand on my cheeks. "The spell here says everything, I can merge the weather and also regulate it, we can have all seasons"
"Like the Mortal Realm?"
He smiled. "Yes my love"
"That could deplete your magic and take a lot of time to recover!"
His eyes narrowed. "Again you doubt me"
"Nick-"
He took my lips in his, taking my breath away, devouring me like the only time he knew, our lips roaming in perfect sync, I placed my hand on his... against my cheek and I broke the kiss hoping to talk more reason.
"I have already cast the spell love" he winked.
"Nicklaus!" I was frustrated that he distracted me like that just to wave the spell.
"Two days from now, our Realms will be one, you don’t have to choose anymore, you can care for your animals, they will be a part of everything, united"
My eyes were almost teary at his words, he took my responsibility first and he didn’t want a repeat of 2 thousand years ago, he wanted everything to be one.
He suddenly stumbled and I snapped out of my thoughts instantly.
"Nicklaus!" I panicked, he held onto the stance for support.
"Don’t worry love it’s only just a headache"
"You don’t ever listen... do you," I said, punching him against the chest, he grabbed my hands together in a firm hold, before using the other to wipe my tears away, I didn’t realize I was crying until now. I sobbed.
"Always and forever remember?"
I nod meeting his loving gaze on me, a smile on his lips, he did look overly pale right now and it got me more worried.
"It only just took 10% of my magic, I will recover in no time so please don’t cry," he said softly. I engulfed him in a tight hug and he wrapped his arms around me in a loving embrace.

"What the bloody hell is going on?" Celeste asked in awe, staring at the skies that trembled.
Alaric came up behind her. "Hmm... this seems interesting"
"It’s not the end of the world is it?" Gideon asked as his legs shook like jellies.
"Oh, you scaredy cat," Puma said with an eye roll.
"It’s almost like the whole place is moving?" Ava said, tilting her head to the side.
Celeste and Alaric took one look at each other before sighing deeply. "Nicklaus" they simultaneously said.
"I see he got busy," Celeste intoned. "By the looks of it, I think he’s trying to move the Realm?"
"I have a better guess, he’s trying to merge it" Alaric intoned.
"Merge it to where?"
"I think to the Vampire Realm" a smile found his lips. "For Lena’s sake"
"Is that even possible?" Ava asked. "I don’t know much about magic, isn’t that supposed to be like a first-class spell?"
"We have a smart one here" Celeste commented at the young rabbit’s intelligence.
"This is Magnus we’re talking about... I’m sure he just did this with a flick of his fingers" Alaric said.
"Scary" Gideon murmured.
"You’re still scared of our Guardian’s mate?" Puma asked, smirking.
"Hush it! Don’t let them hear it!" he growled.
And Puma burst out in a pearl of hard laughter which only made Gideon more embarrassed than he already was.
The sound of a portal whooshing caught their attention.

Nicklaus and I stepped out of the portal seeing the company of others.
"Well you don’t look so good brother," Alaric said smirking, Alaric was smart so I was certain he already caught notice of what was happening, seems like the rest did, judging from the look they gave us.
"I have seen worse," Nicklaus said.
"You should know this spell is powerful, your magic-"
"I will take care of it" he cut Celeste off before she could see more and she sighed deeply.
"How long?" Alaric asked.
"Two days from now"
"And the weather?"
"Like the Mortal Realm"
"I see... interesting" Alaric said with a nod of his head.
"Hope you guys are okay with it?" I asked the gang.
"As long as you’re happy, Guardian," Puma said with a sincere smile on his lips.
"I have always wondered what the other seasons are like, imagine having rain for a change," Ava said excitedly.
"Well the cold season I heard they are the worst" Gideon said with an eye roll.
"That you should not worry about... when it’s time we will sort that out," Nicklaus said.
"He said something nice to me," Gideon said, stunned.
And I giggled at his action.
"We should know with this, Yelena will be well protected," Nicklaus said with a serious tone.
"I no longer sense that presence," Alaric said.
"Neither did I," Celeste said.
"We must stay alert it may have concealed its presence that doesn’t mean we let our guard down"
"You all can’t practically guide me all your lives" I stated.
"Why not, we have even thought of a spell to keep our bodies from being possessed"
"You know what I mean Celeste," I said with a sigh facing Nicklaus.
"I have to know how to defend myself too"
"Lena you’re a Guardian to magical creatures, you tend to them and your needs there has never been a reason for you to fight," Alaric said.
"Well now is" I faced Nicklaus back hoping he would understand me better.
"Back in the Mortal Realm you told me a woman cannot do magic... but it’s all different now, I know magic, let me weaponize it"
"You don’t have to," he said firmly.
I folded my arms across my chest. "Well I wasn’t asking, Husband"
