Chapter 200: Reunite

I sniffed drying my tears, using the back of my hand to wipe them off, I took a deep breath, settling my nerves and ceasing my aching heart, I flashed my golden orbs open, my crescent moonlight tattoo gleaming against my forehead, I whirled in desperate need to get out of here, I could feel him, he was close, I could feel Nicklaus!

[A/N: Okay this will be the best time to play the song ’Storm’ by Ruelle, just think of it as an added boost to this scene thank me later ;-) ]

I ran, I have no idea where I was going but I just did, as I did, I could see the several images of our past lives for over 2 thousand eyes playing on both sides, our first meetings, how we fall in love, and how we lose each other and once again meet in different timelines, all those times we always found each other, even when forces tried to separate us, we were always destined to find each other and be together, it took me long to realize it, our fate was intertwined and we were destined for each other.

Even my shattered fate, Love has proven to be stronger, my love for him, the love we share for each other was greater than the universe itself, since the very moment I set my fox eyes on him in that snow drawing his last breath, that very moment I chose to save him. I have always watched him read, practice magic, and grow up, I have always watched him and he has always seen me.

I came to a halt suddenly when I felt water rise up from my feet, I couldn’t understand it but by the feel of it... felt like the Waterfall Of Truth. Before I knew it the water got to my chest level and next I was buried within the deepest depth of it, I shut my eyes close my breath giving out but I didn’t give up, not until I see him, I flashed my eyes open and I could see the surface far from me, the lights from it, I was determined as I tried to swim up as fast as possible, but the more I did I just couldn’t reach the surface and I was running out of breath, as bubbles escape from my mouth.

No! I can’t drown like this, I must reach it, I must reach him no matter what, I kept swimming as hard I could but I couldn’t reach it was despairing, it hurts and more water was getting to my lungs, but I shock my head snapping out of the reality of me dying right here, I couldn’t help the driver that struck through me to keep going, even in the face of death even when I had no chance to reach I still saw the grasp of hope and I was willing to reach for it.

I stretched my hand forward and it was that exact same moment a hand grasped mine and pulled me to the surface before I could blink.

I coughed painfully, the water coming off, I felt strong arms wrapped around me. I slowly opened my eyes, rising my head away from his chest, and met his emerald eyes, I forced the tears threatening to fall, because they really just wanted to gush out like a stream, my heart swell, my mind raced and my body tingles in his touch and a burning desire flushed through me like a wave, all the strong feelings within me bubbled unstoppable, keeping me wide awake and everything else in fades and I knew just then, My curse of Mismatch was broken.

MATE!

My fox roared within me and a smile spread against my lips because I knew it was directed to him and only him, for eternity.

"Yelena" my name rolled off his tongue and I could feel the emotion it held, it held pain, sadness, and longing, but all will be well because I was here to take it all away.

I placed my hands behind his neck and brought his face to mine and brushed my nose in a tender way on his, and he closed his eyes, sighing in my touch and I knew just how much he longed to hold me.

"You have come back to me" he growled, his hands firm on my waist like steel and I welcomed his possessiveness and the securities that rolled off him like a storm.

"Yes," I said. "Always and Forever"

"Always and forever" and then his lips brushed against mine taking my breath away, I welcomed it as his tongue slid in and ravished me within and my body exploded in all forms of electricity, he sucked deeper and I was left helpless in his consuming kiss, I wanted more, I wanted more of him I wanted all of him and it only intensifies my desire and my need for him, to make up for our lost times and everything.

And have him bring me to different heights of pleasure, have him screw my body with his monster and thrust into me until I’m left helpless, take me like a storm because he has taken my heart like a storm and crippled me in wondrous ways of love and affection, this man was my SOUL.

He seemed to know my thoughts as he growled within my mouth, our mouths vibrating from it and he took the mouth-watering kiss to another level.

"Ahem!" a voice came in enough to distract us.

"I believe all are in order now"

I faced Diablo, wrapped around the tree just above the water. "Diablo," I said.

"I believe all truth has been revealed as well as your memories returned" he intoned.

"Yes," I said as my eyes were wistful.

"Your memories have returned?" Nicklaus said, and I faced him, reality once again was before me and the truth had been uncovered. I placed my hand on his cheek.

"There’s much to talk about," I said, my eyes melting his orbs and they narrowed, they looked puzzled by what I meant because I knew he felt it, there was something urgent.

"Lady Yelena"

Nicklaus turned his large frame blocking me from the company I didn’t know we had, the gang: Puma, Ava, and Gideon who looked at me with joy, and then Alaric and Celeste were here too?

"And that’s it... the real truth" I explained, it has been hours since the waterfall, hours as I narrated everything to them and it was still hard to wrap the shocked expressions they had.

I felt Nicklaus’ steel grip around my waist tighten and I faced him, his eyes were hollow and empty, I took his hand hoping to ease him a bit, I grip it tightly and the light seemed to enter his emerald back and he faced me.

"I don’t believe this... for 2 thousand eyes over and over again, rebirth and reincarnation between the two of you, to suffer loss," Celeste said stunned. I noticed a tear that slid down her cheeks but she quickly wiped it off looking away.

"A cycle of endless loss and pain," Alaric said, arms folded across his chest, his gaze to the floor but I could tell they were angry.

"That is so sad," Puma said. Ava sniffed as she cried silently and Gideon placed a hand on her shoulder to console her but his eyes were just as wary.

"If my mother haven’t planned and installed Nicklaus’ memories on his last rebirth, I believe that cycle wouldn’t have been broken" I explained, even though it was hard I knew deep down that it was because of my mother’s plan all this was made possible, I knew it would be hard to accept it but that was the truth we all saw now.

"That shadow," Nicklaus said with a tightened jaw, I could feel his cold aura radiating off him.

"I don’t know what it is, but I knew it wanted nothing more than to create a rift and also responsible for altering all memories about my death, Mother said it was something ancient"

"Ancient?" Alaric asked puzzled and I stroked a nod although I don’t know what it means yet.

"What is it a fairy or a sprite or a troll or a vampire or a goddess?" Celeste said with a sigh not coming up with any ideas.

"I do not know Celeste, it was just a shadow but I believe something or someone was controlling it," I said.

"A shadow that can possess a body and impersonate, also alter our memories, must be something powerful and old like your mother said... ancient" Alaric deduced.

I faced Nicklaus. He remained still and silent and I wanted nothing more for him to speak.

"Ahem!" Alaric cleared his throat. "Come sister we have much thinking to do"

"What?"

"Let’s go" he placed a hand on her back leading her out.

"You too creatures," he said to the gang and they followed out of the cottage giving us privacy.
