SILVER-HAIRED -
Chapter 115: As It Should Be
Chapter 115: As It Should Be
"Magnus needs you... and you’re the only one that can save him"
"He’s alive?" I mouthed, unable to contain my shock.
"Hmm not exactly"
"But Lady Celeste, even though Magnus’ body remains, his soul is destroyed," Beowulf said.
So the body I saw when my soul traveled to the Vampire Realm was his?
"Oh please Beowulf, have you forgotten who you speak of? My dearest brother has never had a soul, to begin with," She looked at me. "Not until he met you"
My eyes trembled. "You’re his soul Yelena, and you’re the only one that can save him"
"I will do anything. Please... I want him back" I said with teary eyes. She smiled.
"We will get him back... you will have to come with me to the Vampire Realm"
I knew for a fact that it would lead to that, but... I looked towards Mother and the people I knew.
"They would be worried about me if I suddenly disappear, I have to let them know I’m leaving"
"Look around you, Yelena... This is as a result of you breaking your trial"
"What do you mean?"
She sighed. "As annoying as your mother goddess was, my guess is she set all this so that you would once again choose duties over love, I do not know much but I believe that to be so. I guess that she allowed you to be reincarnated because of that purpose. The moment you choose love you break that trial, time will pause because you’re not of this world, you’re a goddess, it won’t go on until you leave" she explains.
"You mean my presence will forever pause time here?"
"Think of it as a puzzle, an incomplete one, you’re the only outmatched piece, remove it and place the right one and then you have a complete one. You not only cracked your trial but you altered your reality. Look it’s already happening"
I turned to the frozen people, I gasped when I saw a woman beside Lawrence, she was dressed in a royal outfit, dark hair, and the most enchanting brown eyes.
"His wife?" I said looking towards Camille and Danette, she had different hair now, Danette had brown while Camille had red.
"They are no longer Silver-Haired," I said with wide eyes.
"The silver-haired must have been created for your trial, my lady," Beowulf said.
"Beowulf is right... this was all part of The Mother goddess, she altered the Mortal Realm for your trial... she is truly something" Celeste said.
I gulped.
"Mother," I said in a whisper, she was normal too, but now she had her husband beside her, and a young woman that had amazing features just like hers.
"Her daughter," I said with a smile on my lips.
"They will never know you existed, their real lives will go on as they should be when you leave... their time will continue"
"My papa," I said, even though it wasn’t real I wanted to make sure he was okay. I looked at her with pleading eyes.
She sighed. "Alright we will make a stop there, but we must leave now"
I nodded. With her hand stretched out, a portal opened, like a round black spin of water.
She walked ahead along with Beowulf and Mint. I paused for a minute turning, time was slowly moving back, with a smile against my lips I turned as I stepped into the portal.
☆☆☆
"Is this where you grew up, Mistress?" Mint asked as we now stood before a cottage house.
"Yes," I said breathlessly, seeing the compound I got nostalgic, all the memories flooding in, even though they were all orchestrated by the Mother goddess, as Celeste said, I was still born here in the Mortal Realm and I still have wonderful memories growing up even if they were sad but there were also happy ones.
I took a step closer to the window where the light was brightest and then I saw him, even though time was paused, he was smiling with a woman beside him, I couldn’t help a smile that formed on my lips and tears that streamed down my cheeks. I was glad everything was right with him too. I sighed before whirling away, holding in my tears.
"We should go," Celeste said in a sad tone like she sensed my pain. I just nod wiping my tears away, she opened another portal, and then they stepped in.
"Goodbye Papa", I took one look at everything before I left the Mortal Realm.
☆☆☆
The rest was prolonged darkness and whooshing sounds. I did not know how long we had been in this portal, and then I saw a light, I shut my eyes due to the brightest, and then I felt my feet meet the ground. I slowly opened my eyes and then I gasped, the same hall I saw in my dreams, that same two guarding statue they were really huge as well as this place, like a giant built this place, I thought the Hartford household and the grand palace was huge but this was nothing compared to it and the artistic design of this place was mind-blowing. It was dark but the lit candles helped brighten the place. Giving it a luxurious view and a subdued feeling too.
"I saved us the trouble of using the front, best we’re inside to avoid unwanted attention," Celeste said.
"If I had known there was a way to save Magnus then" Beowulf began in a heavy tone.
"No need for the long face Beowulf... even my dearest brother didn’t think of such a possibility. Turns out Love can work in mysterious ways" Celeste said.
"Magnus never wanted her to come here, he must have his reason"
"Which is why her coming here will be secured", her gaze fell on me. "Do not worry Yelena, you will be safe here, better than your Realm. When Mother goddess finds out you have broken a trial..." she sighed. "Let’s not hope for the worse".
I gulped. "She is my mother like you said, why would she do such a thing to me?"
"Your memories will come when the time is right, it’s best you know that yourself, I cannot give you the answer you need"
Approaching footsteps came, we whirled. "Ha, there she was... hope the castle has been cleared?"
"Yes Lady Celeste"
My eyes went wide as she came into view. "Olivia?"
