SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 384 - 381: CHRISSY
Chapter 384: Chapter 381: CHRISSY
Diamond shook Chrissy’s hand with a smile on her face for a few seconds before letting go.
"The pleasure is mine as well!" Diamond couldn’t help but add as she picked her tote bag from the seat.
Chrissy chuckled as she exchanged pleasantries as well.
With the two of them a bit acquainted, they both left the plane together as if they were bosom friends.
From the moment that Diamond walked into the airport lounge, she sensed several gazes on her. However, to her, being seen and looked at was normal, so she didn’t mind it a bit.
However, one particular gaze was a bit serious, and Diamond felt curious as to why the other was staring at her like that.
That happened for three more hours on the plane and it got her wondering. Rather than dying of curiosity as to why this person kept on looking at her like that, extending her hand first wouldn’t kill.
As long as she sat down with the other, she might get the answers she wanted.
Using Andrea to get the answers was the fastest way, however, the thrill of knowing the unknown gradually tempted her. Just because she was fooled before, because she didn’t look extensively at those two, didn’t mean that she had to distrust everyone.
What more fun would be there for her if she started having such a distrustful mentality?
Of course, that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t look into people anymore. As long as the person enters her heart slightly, even as a friend, then she would look into that person. Just in case certain skeletons might come out in the future, which would affect her.
After going through the immigration process, Diamond found Chrissy to be very approachable and amusing.
" ... it’s a relief to me that you don’t mind!" scratching her head embarrassingly, Chrissy said as the two of them walked towards the baggage reclaim area. "Hehe, I thought that you might label me as a pervert!"
"Hahaha!" upon hearing that, Diamond couldn’t help but burst out laughing. How could this person be so hilarious?
Seeing Diamond laughing it off, Chrissy became even more convinced that Diamond didn’t seem to mind what had happened before.
Wiping the tears from the corner of her eyes due to laughing hard, Diamond incoherently responded, "Don’t worry. I wouldn’t think like that at all!" her tone was very reassuring.
Chrissy, hearing that, couldn’t help but wonder out loud why Diamond wouldn’t think like that.
But when she heard the response, she regretted asking it in the first place.
"Hehe, I am too beautiful to not be appreciated!" Diamond’s answer was simply too .... Should she call it sarcastic? Or was it too overconfident? Maybe too prideful?
Whatever category the answer would fall onto, Chrissy, looking at the person attractive wave after wave of attention from people, couldn’t help but accept that ridiculous answer.
Diamond was indeed beautiful. The kind that just makes you look at her unconsciously.
There were several people taking photos of her, and it seemed that she didn’t even mind, as if she was used to it.
Was this how people feel overconfident about themselves?
She couldn’t help but feel envious of the other.
If only she was that confident as well.
After claiming their bags, the two newly made friends left the terminal and took an Uber to the city centre.
As it was Diamond’s first time in the city, Chrissy, the local citizen, decided to show her around. At least for that day, since they were all busy women.
The Uber took them to a nice restaurant which Chrissy claimed to be owned by a good friend of hers.
The restaurant was clean, and the air was refreshing. It didn’t stifle her at all, so she was at ease as she sat at one of the tables with Chrissy.
The server came to pick up their order, and Diamond, being herself no matter where she was, pointed at what interested her, ignoring the glances she was receiving from Chrissy.
Chrissy ordered a few dishes and refused to follow Diamond’s path. Only when the server was gone did Chrissy ask, her tone nervous, "Diamond, are you sure that you will finish that food?"
Diamond raised her head as she looked at Chrissy with a playful smile hanging on her lips.
Chrissy, seeing that, couldn’t help but feel more nervous. After talking to Diamond, Chrissy knew that the other was playful and loved teasing others a lot.
However, she didn’t want to see Diamond trending just because of the food she had ordered.
The reputation of women was easily tarnished. And she didn’t want to see such a fate landing on Diamond just because of food.
However, when Diamond’s mouth opened and asked, "What do you think?" she suddenly had an inkling that it was going to be a long day.
And surely when the table was filled with food later, Chrissy finally learnt of why people always say don’t judge the book by its cover.
Looking at the food quickly disappearing from the table, Chrissy was stunned and baffled.
Scanning Diamond from head to toe and recalling her body, and how she looked like before sitting down, she couldn’t help but wonder, ’Just where is the food going?’
After sweeping her food, Diamond felt very much alive. At least her effort wasn’t wasted. The restaurant’s food was tasty and it would have been a pity if she hadn’t eaten to her fill.
As for how Chrissy was speechless and looking at her at a loss for words, she chuckled inwardly, saying to herself, ’If you are going to be my friend, then better get used to this very fast. I wouldn’t want you fainting in shock all the time, would I?’
After the meal, Chrissy pulled her as they walked out of the restaurant, whispering to her, "Diamond, people took videos of you. Don’t you want to do something about it?" sounding very worried at the thought of what might be brewing on social media right now.
Diamond patted Chrissy reassuringly after listening to her worries.
"Don’t worry about me!" she said with a chuckle.
