Shocking the Nine Heavens With My Sword
Chapter 525 - 504 Star Charm (1/3)

Chapter 525: Chapter 504 Star Charm (1/3)

The Moon Shadow Saintess thoroughly enjoyed Zhou Heng’s embrace, except this guy was just too restless, his hands constantly roamed over her waist and hips.

For Zhou Heng, who had nothing else to do, finding something to occupy his time was necessary, wasn’t it, after having such an outburst of anger earlier?

The three of them flew on, and thankfully, they encountered no more terrifying things like the Stardust Storm. Three days later, they entered a valley.

Zhou Heng summoned the Black Sword, and after the lazy Master Jian took its time grinding itself out for half a day, it finally emerged from his Dantian Space and whooshed towards a mountain peak, bombing it.

Now that Zhou Heng had ascended to the Immortal Realm, the Black Sword, though silent, seemed to also have improved greatly; it used to be completely incapable of launching attacks on its own.

Boom, boom, boom, rocks fell, and half of the entire mountain peak collapsed. Zhou Heng, holding the Black Sword, continued to slice at it, each strike shearing off large chunks of rock.

The treasure that caused a reaction in the Black Sword was still underneath.

"Zhou Heng, what are you doing?" the Moon Shadow Saintess asked, puzzled.

Wasn’t it obvious? Running around aimlessly for three days and then suddenly starting the laborious work of mountain excavation out of the blue, was Zhou Heng considering a career change?

Only then did Zhou Heng remember that he hadn’t explained anything to the Moon Shadow Saintess and Huo Tian. He smiled and said, "There’s treasure below here!"

"Treasure?" Even if the Moon Shadow Saintess wasn’t as greedy as the Black Donkey, the word "treasure" by nature was designed to stimulate the wits of intelligent creatures. Her eyes instantly lit up.

However, she immediately showed a puzzled look again. Everyone was visiting the Immortal Realm for the first time; moreover, the teleportation location couldn’t have been pre-determined. Randomly stumbling upon treasure... was rather far-fetched.

Seeing how serious Zhou Heng was, though, it didn’t seem like he was faking, so she temporarily set aside her doubts and quietly waited.

As for Huo Tian, she was completely indifferent; it seemed that nothing in the world could shake her soul anymore.

Zhou Heng, wielding the Black Sword, seemed to be having the time of his life. If it were in the Mortal Realm, he could have turned the mountain peak to ashes with a mere thought, but the objects in the Immortal Realm were extremely solid. Even though he possessed the battle power of the Moonlight Sovereign and was wielding the Black Sword, he could only grind it down layer by layer.

If Huo Tian were willing to help, a mere flick of her finger could probably make the mountain peak disappear! However, that would also result in the possible destruction of the buried treasure — even the floating continent might collapse entirely!

The consequences of asking her to make a move were too severe; better to spare her the trouble.

Zhou Heng kept busy tirelessly, and after a full day and night, he finally dug down to the base of the mountain.

At this point, he dared not hack carelessly any longer. The Black Sword was far too sharp; he was afraid of damaging the treasure below. If the Black Donkey ever found out, that greedy donkey would definitely bite his ass.

Zhou Heng carefully dug further down, and through his mental connection with the Black Sword, he was sure that the treasure was not far off, just within a zhang below.

Bang!

Just then, the ground shook violently as if there were an earthquake, bouncing Zhou Heng and the Moon Shadow Saintess off the ground, before they fell heavily back down, while Huo Tian remained unfazed, her feet floating in the air, untouched by a speck of dust.

"What happened?" the Moon Shadow Saintess furrowed her eyebrows, "Could it be the Stardust Storm again?"

"I’m afraid not!" Zhou Heng looked into the distance, his vision now many times superior to that of the Moon Shadow Saintess.

"That’s a relief!" The Moon Shadow Saintess breathed easier; she had already been frightened by the last Stardust Storm.

Zhou Heng, however, shook his head and said, "Though I hate to burst your bubble, you’ve celebrated too soon!"

"What’s wrong?" The Moon Shadow Saintess suddenly felt a foreboding.

Bang!

Again the ground shook, and the thunderous rumble sounded as if it would split their eardrums.

In the distance, a giant shadow appeared. Although its exact appearance was not clear, the sheer outline alone was enough to send a chill down one’s spine.

It was huge!

Bang!

With every step that shadow took, the ground trembled heavily; it reminded Zhou Heng of the King Level puppet on Xuanqian Star that once swept through unstoppably.

One could say that if it had enough Spirit Stones to power it, that puppet would be invincible in the Mortal Realm, its Divinity Transformation Realm material giving it the strength to sweep through all opponents!

Of course, if it encountered Zhou Heng, the Gold Devouring Clan’s abilities would be its natural nemesis, no question about it!

That shadow was like a colossus akin to a King Level puppet!

The structure of the Fairy Continent was incredibly stable, yet the weight of this giant made the ground surge and crack with every step; just its weight was a weapon of mass destruction! Moreover, such a massive weight must be supported by a strong physique, suggesting that the body of that shadow was also extremely powerful.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

That shadow was initially very far away, but due to its enormous size, it only took a few strides to appear not far from Zhou Heng and the others.

It was a humanoid monster with two heads, but neither head had eyes or a nose, just a giant mouth! Its eyes were located on its chest, stretching from the neck down to the abdomen!

There was just one eye, vertical, a purple cyclops!

"This is a Star Charm!" Huo Tian suddenly said.

"Star Charm?" Zhou Heng and the Moon Shadow Saintess exclaimed simultaneously. Although this certainly wasn’t the time for curiosity, they couldn’t help but want to know more.

"These creatures are born from the cosmic starlight, feeding on metals. At their peak, they can devour an entire planet in one bite!" Huo Tian nodded affirmatively, stating with certainty, "This one is a young Star Charm!"

This behemoth of a monster that stood tens of thousands of feet tall was still merely a juvenile? What kind of state would it reach when it matured?

Indeed, if its size wasn’t enormous, how could it possibly consume a planet in one bite!

"Awooo?" The Star Charm seemed to have noticed Zhou Heng and the others as well. Its vertical eye blinked, and instantly one of its arms came hurtling towards them, terrifying power coursing through it and creating miniature tornadoes.

This creature might not understand cultivation, but its body was its greatest weapon, with raw strength that could rival Spiritual Power, no different from a humanoid Immortal Artifact!

"Bring it on!" Zhou Heng’s fighting spirit soared. After becoming an immortal, he had yet to engage in a grand battle before being driven to hide by the Stardust Storm, and was truly brimming with rage. Additionally, with his desires unfulfilled in the past few days, his fury was even greater!

Now that someone had presented themselves as an outlet for his anger, he naturally wouldn’t hold back.

He shot into the sky, fists whirling, scattering a shower of Golden Light.

Boom!

With fists struck out, he met the Star Charm’s massive palm head-on. The size difference was so vast it was like an ant facing an elephant.

A flash of Golden Light exploded, but the Star Charm’s large hand was not affected at all and continued to slam towards the ground!

"Tough guy!" Zhou Heng coughed up blood, but the fighting intent in his eyes soared even higher. He roared, pushing his Spiritual Power to the limit!

Hum! Hum! Hum!

Nine Waning Moons appeared behind him, radiating a gentle and cold Moonlight, and within this pure light were strands of golden color, adding a touch of nobility.

Nine Wheels Moon!

Zhou Heng’s battle cry was unceasing as he held his fists firmly against the large hand of the Star Charm, unleashing all the power he possessed.

Huo Tian watched with solemn attention. She had memories sealed within her that would be triggered by sight. Although this Star Charm was but a juvenile, its power tier was comparable to that of a Moonlight Sovereign at the Peak Second Layer Heaven!

And Zhou Heng’s? At best, he was at the Initial Period of Second Layer Heaven!

In the Mortal Realm, the gap between the initial stage and the peak wasn’t decisive in the outcome of a battle, as it hadn’t reached the extent of ’One Force Breaks Ten Thousand Laws.’

But in the Immortal Realm, let alone the initial stage versus the peak, even the gap between the initial and middle stages was insurmountable!

The Star Charm’s strength far exceeded that of Zhou Heng!

In a head-on clash, Zhou Heng was no match, which had nothing to do with courage or will. It was simply objective fact.

"Ahh—" Zhou Heng roared furiously. His Divine Bones groaned under the intense clash, but he showed no sign of backing down, burning his fighting spirit with abandon.

Boom!

Ultimately, the Star Charm’s palm still came down but far from its intended target!

In terms of the power struggle, Zhou Heng lost, but judging by the outcome, he had won!

"Hahaha!" Zhou Heng bellowed with laughter as he shot through the gaps between the Star Charm’s fingers. Hovering in mid-air, he called out, "You big brute, you may be stronger than me, but I refuse to match strength with you. Let’s see who’s better at something else!"

He flicked his right hand and the Hundred Ghosts Sword appeared, whipping it repeatedly and summoning Ghost Shadows!

Having ascended to the Immortal Position, the ghostly creatures Zhou Heng summoned with the Hundred Ghosts Sword naturally also improved to the Immortal Realm, on par with Zhou Heng’s own level of Spiritual Power!

Without fear, the ghosts harbored an intense desire for destruction. As soon as they appeared, they attacked the Star Charm.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

With successive heavy blows, the Star Charm roared in fury. Although strong, its constitution had yet to reach the point where it could ignore the strikes of an immortal. Unless it ascended to the Sunshine Realm, even the onslaught of a Moonlight Sovereign would not damage its undying form!

Powerful though it was, the Star Charm lacked intelligence and didn’t grasp the essence of ’capture the king to defeat the enemy.’ Its thinking was quite simple: whoever attacked it would be its target, and so it became entangled with each Ghost Shadow.

This approach was utterly without prospect!

Zhou Heng certainly had no intention of warning this large, foolish creature. He simply kept swinging his sword repeatedly, utilizing the Feiyu Seven Swords and the Overturning Heaven Palm.

Now that he had achieved the Immortal Position, he could fully unleash the might of these two Immortal Techniques. Sword Qi swept across a hundred miles while the hand of stars descended from the sky, relentlessly striking the Star Charm.

Even as this colossal beast peaked at the Moonlight Second Layer Heaven, its sheer strength was rendered futile without the knowledge of how to use it. How much might could such strength truly exert?

Zhou Heng was fearless, with each sword strike and palm push shaking the heavens and the earth.

Huo Tian sighed and suddenly said, "From Divinity Transformation to Moonlight, this is a process of creation from nothing. Do you think the things created are insubstantial?"

Zhou Heng was immediately taken aback! (To be continued. If you like this work, welcome to qidian.com to vote for recommendation tickets, monthly tickets, and your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
