「Alright, that's enough!」

Around half an hour after they started training, Mira announced they were done. There was the fact that they were starting to take the fight a bit too seriously when it was meant as practice, but it was also quite late at night already.

At the very least, it was way past Mira's usual bedtime.

But unsurprisingly, Alfina was quick to claim she could keep going for longer. She did look tired, but her face was fully determined, like she was barely getting started.

「I'm not done yet either.」

Celestina also said something similar. Finally getting some progress with finding her special move had given her a rush of energy, and she was raring to keep going. But Mira was struggling to stay awake, so she denied their requests.

「No, we'll call it a night here.」

Once again, she told them that it was over. There was the drowsiness taking over her, but she was also concerned about the two. When things went well, it was easy to forget about one's limits, pushing themselves too far. Mira herself had experienced that many times in the past.

The Valkyrie Sisters trained daily. In a way, they were experts at training already, so they also knew of the importance of taking a breather.

When Mira mentioned that, Celestina quickly muttered, 「Oh, I almost forgot…」 and instantly looked fatigued. Recalling the hellish training regiment Alfina had prepared for them had sucked away all her energy.

Realizing she would suffer more the next day if she kept training, Celestina bowed respectfully thanking Mira for her guidance and quickly went to her room.

Meanwhile, Alfina did not react at all even when Mira mentioned their regular training. But seeing that her training partner had left, she seemed to decide to stop as well, saying, 「If that's your desire, Master.」

Still, she could not fool Mira, who noticed that Alfina was still determined to keep going, as she was firmly grasping the Holy Sword Sanctia.

「Go and rest so you're all freshened up tomorrow.」

Saying that, Mira dispelled the Holy Sword Sanctia that Alfina was holding.

That caused Alfina to let out a loud cry. She really had been meaning to come back to the training area a short while later to keep training. And after all her stoicism keeping an unwavering expression, Alfina finally showed some emotion as she hesitantly turned to look at Mira.

「Did I make myself clear?」

「Yes… I'll do as you wish.」

Hearing that, Alfina understood that Mira had seen through her, so as shaken as she was, she rushed to kneel in front of Mira.

Then she slowly stood up and languidly walked to her room. Mira watched Alfina leave for a bit before going to her own room shortly after. There, she began getting ready for bed, changing into blue nightwear Mariana had prepared for her, and then slipping into the king sized bed.

The nights at Valhalla were serene and quiet, only illuminated by the stars outside. But even that went dark when Mira closed her eyes, fully enveloped by silence. It was almost like the constant clashing of metal from earlier had never happened.

There was only silence, which brought a strange sense of comfort that lulled Mira into sleep.

「Mmm…this feels like a really good morning.」

One word was enough to describe the next morning, refreshing. Mira was woken up by the gentle but invigorating light of the sun, and she was surprised by how awake she felt. Usually, it took her a while to fully wake up, but this time her mind was clear.

Another surprise was awaiting her when she checked the time. It was six in the morning, at least three hours earlier than her usual wake up time. And yet she did not feel like she needed to get more sleep.

「There's nothing wrong with waking up early once in a while.」

She felt so well-rested that sleeping again would just be a waste of a perfectly good morning. So she jumped out of bed and took care of her usual morning business. Then she changed into her usual clothes, and went out on a walk around Valhalla.

The weather in Valhalla was like spring, the sun comfortingly warm. That made Mira ponder whether there were seasons in Valhalla as she walked around the palace.

She saw the second training area, mostly used to warm up, and the cleaning area, filled with more used armor than clothes. From afar, it looked like a majestic palace, but at closer examination, it was clear the Valkyries treated it like their home, the surroundings being quite different from what one would expect.

「Oh, is that…」

There was also a small forging hut with a pile of weapons, and something past it that caught Mira's eyes.

「Now this is beautiful.」

It was not very large, compared to the palace, but it had an undeniably different appearance from the other places, looking like a garden that had been taken care of a lot.

The second training area had looked desolate, making one wonder just how it was possible to produce so much destruction.

The armor piled up in the cleaning area, covered in blood and filth, made one fear that place in case it was cursed. The large pile of weapons, some incredibly large, made one struggle to think what they were meant to cut down.

And amidst all that gruesome and desolate sights, was that garden sticking out like a sore thumb. That change lured Mira to get closer to the vibrant flowers, looking around to take all of it in.

The flowers were grouped by color, all blooming beautifully. The grass below was well trimmed, creating a nice contrast to the colorful flowers. Everything worked together in a cohesive way, while still displaying their individual beauty.

Whoever was taking care of that garden clearly understood how to treat flowers. And at first sight, one could see the love and dedication they had put into the garden.

Just walking around there put one's mind at ease, and in the very center, there was a sturdy bench as well. Sitting there would definitely offer the best experience in the garden.

Thinking of all that, Mira felt like she was being lured by the scent of the flowers and the gentle morning sun to continue strolling around the garden.

「Huh, there's something over here.」
