Chapter 418: Chapter 418 Winter Vacation Started
This clothing factory was registered under Yun Xiaoxiao’s name.
That meant Zhao Tianlei was actually working for Yun Xiaoxiao.
Yet, Yun Xiaoxiao didn’t know, and she too had started to get busy.
Since the winter vacation was approaching, she was incredibly busy.
"How is the clothing factory doing?"
"It has entered the department store building; now we still don’t know how the sales are."
After the first batch of goods was rushed out, Zhao Tianlei had gone to talk to the manager of the Wangfujing department store building about this matter.
As for the other clothes, they were still being sold with the help of classmates.
They were still willing.
With the winter vacation coming up, they of course wanted to have money in hand to take home.
Whenever there were no classes, they would go and pick up goods to sell.
It must be said, they now had the experience, and these goods were much lighter, fetching a new batch after selling one.
Once the school closed for winter vacation, the few students back home suddenly felt more relaxed.
Da Bao and Xiao Bao were still sent to Elder Wu’s.
Yun Xiaoxiao began to take stock of the goods, to stock up as needed, and even organized promotional events.
As for Zhao Tianlei, with the previous factory manager now as the deputy manager vigilantly overseeing, he focused on overseeing the sale of goods here.
"Tianlei, I need to buy a train ticket to go back on the 26th."
"Me too."
How much stock was left over here at Tianlei’s end?
"We’ll probably do the same around that time."
Tickets had to be bought in advance, with sleeper tickets available.
"Alright then."
Selling clothes still worked on a commission basis; payments could be settled daily or before leaving.
They would, of course, settle before leaving.
Being classmates with Zhao Tianlei and having collaborated for so long, they knew each other well.
Everyone had their own area to sell goods.
It was almost the New Year, and these cotton jackets were quite attractive, complete with hats, available for fitting, styled nicely with zippers, and they even had pockets.
At the Yun Family’s side.
"Mom and Dad, little sister sent a package for me in the mail and for you as well; did you receive it?"
Second Brother Yun came home with a large box of Braised Pork Belly.
He bought a set of clothes for the kids, which looked particularly nice, and a lot of accessories for his wife and the kids. As for himself, he had bought a particularly warm cashmere sweater.
Mother Yun glanced at this youngest son.
"Received it yesterday; your little sister said she’s going back to Zhao Family Village for the new year and mentioned that we could go to Capital City if we have time."
She gave a coat each to the couple along with some specialty items from Capital City, knowing these were meant as New Year gifts; they couldn’t make it but the gifts hadn’t been reduced.
"That’s good. I was worried your sister-in-law might have intercepted them."
Mother Yun didn’t continue on this topic but brought up another matter, "I heard that the number of people dining at your state-run restaurant has been decreasing?"
If this continued, the restaurant might be forced to close eventually.
"Mom, don’t worry; even if it closes, my father-in-law and I can open a restaurant. We’ll still make money each month, possibly even more."
At the moment, their state-run restaurant remained quiet despite his father-in-law having worked there for twenty to thirty years, and he himself had been there many years, both forming an attachment to it.
Moreover, they had already found fallback options, so even if it really closed, they wouldn’t be out of a job.
Mother Yun thought about how both her son-in-law and youngest son were chefs. If the state-run restaurant closed, they could also open a small restaurant outside – it would still sustain their family.
"I heard a small factory shut down, and quite a few workers were laid off," Mother Yun mentioned, slightly agitated by the topic.
Their factory was not small; surely it wouldn’t shut down that quickly?
