Fu Shiyi didn’t speak further; she hung up her mobile phone and got out of the car.

As she had come straight from home, she hadn’t planned to attend the dinner and was dressed only in a simple T-shirt, shorts, and canvas shoes, her hair loosely tied into a messy bun, without even her eyebrows drawn on.

Inside the banquet hall, Su Wanxin felt, upon hearing Fu Shihan call Fu Shiyi, that she was probably going to be in trouble today.

Shen Xiaochen stood aside with glee, waiting to see Su Wanxin get scolded and humiliated.

Just a few minutes later, the doors to the banquet hall were violently pushed open.

Fu Shiyi, with her face completely bare, appeared in everyone’s line of sight as she stood at the entrance, surveying the scene, quickly locating her target.

From a distance, she looked at the person familiar yet strange next to Fu Shihan and strode towards them.

Fu Shiyi’s abrupt appearance, dressed differently from everyone else, combined with her angry demeanor and her status as the misses of the Fu Family, attracted a lot of attention from the moment she arrived.

Everyone turned to look at her, watching her march furiously towards Fu Shihan, unsure of what had transpired.

Su Wanxin locked eyes with her from afar. Not seeing each other for three years, she had not expected their first encounter upon her return to be like this.

Su Wanxin forced a wry smile with a slight curl of her lips, standing still, waiting for Fu Shiyi to approach.

With Fu Shiyi getting closer, Su Wanxin could clearly feel the anger radiating from her.

It was rare for Su Wanxin to concede, but at this moment, she did. No matter how Fu Shiyi scolded or hit her, she had no intention of fighting back.

Fu Shiyi quickly made her way to Su Wanxin, breathing heavily as she locked eyes with her, fists clenched, her whole body trembling with rage. Her expression was grave, eyebrows furrowed, gaze sharp and grim.

Su Wanxin pursed her lips and quietly greeted, "Miss, long time no see."

At her words, Fu Shiyi’s eyes reddened and she immediately raised her hand. But instead of striking Su Wanxin’s face, her hand hesitated in mid-air.

And it was during that moment of hesitation that Shen Xiaochen, who had been standing by all along, saw her chance.

Shen Xiaochen, realizing that Fu Shiyi meant to hit Su Wanxin, remembered how Su Wanxin had embarrassed her at a previous dinner. She took the opportunity for revenge, splashing the red wine from her glass onto Su Wanxin.

The white blouse was instantly stained by the red wine, Su Wanxin slightly stunned, and so was Fu Shiyi. Then, with a swing, her hand came down.

"Slap!"

A heavy slap landed on Shen Xiaochen’s face.

"What are you?!" Fu Shiyi scolded, casting Shen Xiaochen a glance. Shen’s cheek burned as she covered the slapped side of her face, listening to the bystanders’ murmurs, still not processing what had happened.

How could it be?

Why was she the one being slapped?

Surely, Su Wanxin was the Fu Family’s enemy!

Fu Shiyi turned her gaze away from Shen Xiaochen and looked back at Su Wanxin, stepping forward to angrily push her and demanded, "You’ve got the nerve to come back?!"

Su Wanxin took a step back, steadied herself, and softly replied, "Yes, I have come back."

She recalled the first time she saw Fu Shihan upon her return, and he had asked her the same question.

The calm reply from Su Wanxin only further infuriated Fu Shiyi. Looking at the onlookers who were enjoying the drama, she grabbed Su Wanxin by the wrist, intending to drag her away from there.
