Chapter 264: Chapter 264: The car accident has nothing to do with her, she didn’t do it!
Lin Rui followed them all the way to the outside of the courtyard, anxiously pacing back and forth at the entrance, not knowing when Fu Shihan would arrive, and unable to go in by himself.
Li Xuanqing had no shortage of men under his command; going in alone would most likely mean a chilly end inside.
Time slowly passed by, and when Fu Shihan appeared in his line of sight, half an hour had already gone by.
Fu Shihan had probably dialed countless calls to Li Xuanqing on the way, not one went through.
He was well-aware of the means Li Xuanqing had for dealing with people; he dared not think about how Su Wanxin would be treated today.
Seeing him arrive, Lin Rui felt assured. He leaped over the wall into the courtyard to open the door for him, and the two rushed into the house, only to see Li Xuanqing leisurely sitting on the couch, drinking tea, watching TV.
"Where is she?"
Fu Shihan locked eyes with him, getting straight to the point. Li Xuanqing laughed after hearing this, retorting, "Are you talking tough to me over some outsider?"
"The car accident has nothing to do with her, she didn’t do it!" Fu Shihan’s eyes reddened as he roared, "On what grounds did you bring her here?"
"A simple ’has nothing to do with her’ would return my daughter’s legs?"
Li Xuanqing scoffed.
He had been searching for this Su Wanxin for three years. If he had found her before she returned to Imperial Capital, she would have had no chance of seeing Fu Shihan ever again in this lifetime.
He wanted her dead.
Before death, he would break her legs, to let her taste that kind of pain.
Fu Shihan, seeing that reasoning was futile, decided to barge in.
Li Xuanqing’s bodyguards stepped forward to block his path.
Fu Shihan casually pulled off his loose necktie and with a dodge and a scuffle, he looped the tie around the man’s neck, tightening it fiercely.
The man’s pupils dilated in an instant; Fu Shihan, ruthlessly intended to strangle him to death. Lin Rui, noticing the scene, frowned and called out "Brother Han," bringing Fu Shihan back to a semblance of sanity.
"Go in and look for her!"
The villa covered over seven hundred square meters, so searching every room promptly wasn’t exactly quick.
Lin Rui charged up the stairs, and after Fu Shihan had knocked out the person in front of him, he rushed straight to the basement. Minutes later, he saw Su Wanxin, already battered and unconscious.
Su Wanxin was lying on the ground, while a man in the room held a bucket of ice water, seemingly intending to douse her to consciousness before continuing the torment.
The door was suddenly kicked open, and he turned in surprise, just in time to have the water bucket snatched from his hands, and in the blink of an eye, the water was poured all over him.
Then, the iron bucket was put over his head, and Fu Shihan kicked hard at his knee, bringing him to kneel on the ground.
"Wanwan!"
Fu Shihan rushed to Su Wanxin’s side. The air conditioning in the room was set very high; her body was ice cold, and her breath barely perceptible.
Fu Shihan cradled her in his arms; his mind went blank as he carried her to the car and sped off, heading straight for the hospital.
Zhan Che and the others had received the call ahead and prepared everything. He didn’t know what kind of accident had happened to Su Wanxin this time, but when he saw her with his own eyes, he realized things were far more serious than he had imagined...
Su Wanxin was covered in blood, and Fu Shihan had quite a bit on him as well.
His white shirt was stained in patches, and Zhan Che, watching his bloodshot eyes, clenched his teeth and entered the operating room.
The waiting time was long and agonizing.
Fu Shihan leaned against the wall, staring at the light on the door of the operating room, heart aching so much he could barely breathe.
It was his fault.
He had not protected her well.
He should have never let her out of his sight.
He had searched for her for three years, not for this outcome; he couldn’t live without her, absolutely not!
