Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth
Chapter 151: Don’t be afraid, I’m here.

Chapter 151: Chapter 151: Don’t be afraid, I’m here.

Zhan Che looked at Su Wanxin’s pallid face on the hospital bed, void of any color, and for the first time, he realized that he was completely helpless when it came to a woman.

Fu Shihan rushed to his hospital with the utmost speed, and upon seeing Su Wanxin in a coma, asked, "When will she wake up?"

"I don’t know; it depends," Zhan Che answered honestly. "It could be a day, a week, or even a month."

Fu Shihan thought his response was too superficial, his expression turned cold.

Zhan Che looked at him and smiled, "Or she might just sleep for another year or two, and wake up once she’s had enough rest."

She had once been in a coma for over a year, narrowly escaping death and lucky to have survived, yet here she was back in danger again.

Zhan Che couldn’t persuade her, couldn’t manage her, could only watch powerlessly as she lingered at death’s door.

Fu Shihan detected an underlying meaning in his words, his gaze flickering, and continued to inquire about Su Wanxin’s condition before suggesting to transfer her to another hospital.

Upon hearing Fu Shihan mention the names of several world-class leading doctors, Zhan Che’s eyes widened in astonishment. "They’re at your hospital now?"

"Yes."

"I’ll come with you! I want to meet them!"

Turned out this President Fu still had some conscience, willing to go to the trouble of finding those doctors for Su Wanxin.

Zhan Che silently sneered, following Fu Shihan as they left. Meanwhile, Su Wanxin remained in a coma, only waking up exhausted after a full week.

The familiar smell of the hospital made Su Wanxin furrow her brows the instant she regained consciousness. She really hated this place too much.

Slowly opening her eyes, Su Wanxin saw a familiar figure sitting on a sofa not far away.

Fu Shihan was sitting there, working on his laptop with official business. It seemed as if he felt Su Wanxin’s gaze, looked up, then paused momentarily before setting aside his computer and walking towards her.

"Are you feeling unwell? I’ll call the doctor."

He bent down to check her forehead temperature, his voice soft and tender.

Su Wanxin hadn’t seen him like this in a very long time, and couldn’t help but feel a twinge in her nose, her eyes reddening.

Seeing her silently shed tears, Fu Shihan couldn’t help but feel a pang of pain in his heart, embracing her tightly.

"Don’t be afraid, I’m here."

Breathing in his unique scent that was the only thing that could comfort her, Su Wanxin clutched at his clothes, her tears quickly dampening his shirt.

She missed him so much.

After crying in his arms for a while, Su Wanxin asked in a hoarse voice, "Is there any news of Xiao Yu? Has she returned home?"

"Mu Suyu? She’s outside, do you want to see her?"

Fu Shihan didn’t expect the first thing she would ask upon waking up was this.

Hearing Fu Shihan’s reply, Su Wanxin let out a long breath of relief. It was good that Xiao Yu was safe, that she hadn’t been caught by Shen Xiaochen and the others.

"How long have I been asleep?" She slowly sat up straight and rubbed her eyes, asking, "When did you get here?"

"I don’t want to hear about this," Fu Shihan replied indifferently, holding her cold hand, he spoke gently, "I want you to tell me why you’re in such poor health. Where have you been these three years after you left."

Su Wanxin’s demeanor flickered for a moment, she then smiled. "Has President Fu come to check my past?"

"When you’re happy, you call me President Fu; when you’re not, you call me Young Master Fu; and otherwise it’s Fu Shihan. When will you be able to call me husband again?"

Unsatisfied with her demeanor, Fu Shihan knew he wouldn’t be able to extract any more information from her.
