Lu Ci took the initiative to invite, and Su Wanxin immediately refused after hearing it. "Sorry, I already have plans tomorrow. Maybe some other time."

"Some other time? When exactly is that?" Lu Ci raised his eyebrows, not taking no for an answer, insisting on a definite reply.

Su Wanxin was in a difficult position and silently glanced at Fu Shihan. However, Fu Shihan had no intention of helping her, even commenting, "Miss Su is indeed the star of the circle recently, even daring to snub Lu Ci."

Before Lu Ci had a chance to chat more with Su Wanxin, others came over for small talk, causing him some displeasure.

Seizing the opportunity, Su Wanxin thought of escaping, but Fu Shihan subtly blocked her.

Behind them was a row of dining tables and a wall. Hence, some subtle movements weren’t seen by others.

Fu Shihan’s hand was wrapped around Su Wanxin’s waist, and he reminded her in a voice just loud enough for the two of them, "Drink less."

"I know." Su Wanxin lowered her eyelids and honestly replied, "This is only my second glass."

She shifted uncomfortably, trying to get him to remove his hand. There are so many people; isn’t he afraid of being noticed?!

"President Fu, with so many eyes around, can’t you refrain from being a hooligan?" Su Wanxin turned her head as if casually, and whispered to him with a fake smile.

"Is this what you call being a hooligan?" Fu Shihan seriously denied it but held her even tighter because of her words.

Su Wanxin stiffened her body and moved to the side, trying hard to keep a distance from him. "This isn’t being a hooligan? With so many people around, you’re touching me!"

Fu Shihan leaned down a bit and whispered in her ear, "Just touching is fine? I haven’t even licked you yet."

Su Wanxin: "!!!"

After saying that, Fu Shihan let go, raised his glass with a straight face to mingle with the crowd, leaving Su Wanxin standing there, her face flushed, ears hot, feeling teased and restless.

This man is so annoying! Why is he so nasty with words?!

Su Wanxin took the opportunity to slip away quickly. With Fu Shihan and Lu Ci on this side of the venue, she ran to the opposite corner, and when the timing was right, she excused herself to go to the restroom to leave the hotel and head home.

Fu Shihan didn’t come back until late at night, lay down next to her exhausted, and as he saw her deeply asleep with no sign of awakening, he was a bit annoyed. But he hesitated and still didn’t wake her up.

"He said something offhand and you took it seriously?" Fu Shihan put on his shirt buttons, answering indifferently, "He was just teasing you last night. He’s gone to Nan City today, took a flight at noon."

She should have known not to take their words seriously; she was naive again.

Su Wanxin reflexively reviewed her gullibility, sighed with regret, washed up, and went downstairs to eat.

She had the day off to rest today, but Fu Shihan remained as busy as ever, hastily leaving after breakfast.
