He had come straight from the airport, wearing a suit he wore for business meetings, carrying his distinctive scent along with a faint smell of cigarettes.

"I’ve warned you to stay away from other men." Fu Shihan gripped her wrist tightly, anger beginning to spread within him. "Tell me, what were you discussing alone so late at night with him, what did he say to make you smile at him so openly, without any guard?!"

"I... I was really just going downstairs to drink some water, and I happened to meet him."

Wanxin’s explanation was feeble, she knew it wouldn’t satisfy Fu Shihan, but she didn’t know what else to say.
