Sharing Dreams with My Bestie’s Cousin
Chapter 194 - 194 Coma

Chapter 194: Coma Chapter 194: Coma Wen Zhi suddenly asked, “Madam, what do you want to say to her after seeing her grave site?”

“What I want to say to her…” Hearing this, Chong Wanyin suddenly looked at Wen Zhi, “What do you think I, as someone who came after her, should say to her?”

Wen Zhi shook his head and answered frankly, “I don’t know.”

“Actually, I don’t know either.” Chong Wanyin raised her hand to touch her temple, “If I really saw it, I probably would forget what I should say.”

Wen Zhi agreed, “It’s probably like that.”

Chong Wanyin patted the sleeves of her gown and stood up, “The more we talk about it, the more I can’t wait to see it. Let’s set off now, so we don’t miss out on the good weather today.”

Just as the group was ready to leave, the driver hadn’t arrived. Chong Wanyin was about to question Zhao Qin when Wen Zhi said, “How about I drive?”

Zhao Qin was anxiously holding her phone, “I’ve already contacted the driver, he said he would arrive on time…”

Wen Zhi said, “Plans can’t keep up with changes; perhaps something unexpected happened to the driver.”

Zhao Qin immediately dialed the driver’s phone, “I’ll ask.”

Wen Zhi didn’t stop her, waiting quietly by the side, her gaze drifting across the car window and onto the discomfort in Chong Wanyin’s eyes and brows.

Chong Wanyin seemed to perceive something and turned to look over.

Separated by the car window, their eyes met. Wen Zhi cracked a smile first, and Chong Wanyin responded with a very faint smile.

After Zhao Qin finished the call, her expression looked displeased, “This person, really, couldn’t he have said something earlier instead of waiting for me to contact him before saying he couldn’t come.”

Wen Zhi immediately asked, “What happened with the driver?”

Zhao Qin replied, “The driver said today he has to attend a parent-teacher conference for his child and told us to wait, what a nerve!”

Wen Zhi said softly, “As expected, plans can’t keep up with changes; the driver bailed on us at the last moment.”

“Then I’ll contact another driver…” Speaking, Zhao Qin was about to make the contact again.

Wen Zhi timely suggested, “Let me drive.”

“How can this be…” Zhao Qin felt it inappropriate, not because she doubted Wen Zhi’s driving skills, but because she thought it would be too tiring for Wen Zhi.

The car window slowly lowered, and from inside the car came Chong Wanyin’s voice, “Let Zhizhi drive, we’re pressed for time, and I don’t want to wait too long.”

Wen Zhi promptly joined the conversation, “Yes, I can.”

Chong Wanyin nodded, “Then we will trouble Zhizhi.”

Zhao Qin wanted to say something else, but seeing that Chong Wanyin had already spoken, she held her peace and put away her phone, “Alright then, Miss Wen, please drive us today.”

Wen Zhi shook her head, indicating it was nothing.

Once in the car, Wen Zhi first adjusted the navigation. Before starting the engine, she looked back and said, “Madam, we are leaving now.”

Chong Wanyin nodded, “Alright.”

The journey from the start went smoothly. Wen Zhi was a good driver, and after nearly half an hour, the car finally left the city outskirts.

Along the way, Chong Wanyin occasionally asked about the condition of the hills where the cemetery was located. Even though Wen Zhi had already talked to her about it before, Chong Wanyin, seeming to grow more uneasy as they drew closer to the place, kept asking again and again.

“How much longer until we arrive?” Chong Wanyin asked once more.

Wen Zhi, driving smoothly, glanced at Chong Wanyin’s state from the rearview mirror and patiently responded, “Madam, there’s about twenty minutes left before we reach that hill.”

Chong Wanyin closed her eyes, “How can it still be so long.”

Wen Zhi spoke, “Mr. Shang said that his mother enjoyed the tranquility, not wishing to be disturbed by anyone.”

At this sentence, Chong Wanyin ceased to say anything further.

However, she began to feel sleepy, and her drowsiness increased until her eyelids felt nearly impossible to keep open.

“Zhao Qin, why am I so sleepy, and why is there a scent of calming incense? Have you lit incense…” Chong Wanyin raised her hand to rub her temples, trying to perk herself up.

But when she turned to look, Zhao Qin beside her had long since fallen into a deep sleep.
