He walked toward the stairs, continuing, “I’m going upstairs to take a shower. Don’t wait for me, just start eating when breakfast arrives.”

Wen Zhi watched his retreating figure, verbally agreeing but not really planning to start without him.

A few minutes later, Chen Jinhai arrived.

He was carrying a nutritious and lavish breakfast, and upon seeing Wen Zhi, he nodded in greeting, “Miss Wen, good morning.”

Wen Zhi responded with a faint smile.

Chen Jinhai approached the dining table, set down the breakfast spread, and said, “Mr. Shang ordered Cantonese morning tea today, hoping it suits Miss Wen’s taste.”

Without needing Chen Jinhai to say, it all very much suited Wen Zhi’s taste; she loved Cantonese morning tea the most.

Wen Zhi sat down and asked, “Is there any news from Mrs. Shang?”

Chen Jinhai set the chopsticks and dishes in front of Wen Zhi, “Mrs. Shang is very concerned about your safety. She went to a very revered temple in Bai City early this morning to pray for you.”

Wen Zhi and Chen Jinhai exchanged smiles, “She is very thoughtful.”

Chen Jinhai nodded, “Mrs. Shang’s kindness is well known, it’s the right thing for her to do.”

Having arranged the dishes, Chen Jinhai motioned, “Miss Wen, please start.”

Harbor City is too far, equivalent to a trip to Lin City.

Wen Zhi asked, “It’s tomorrow, right?”

Chen Jinhai nodded, “Yes, the Cultural and Tourism Festival officially starts tomorrow morning at ten o’clock. Due to a tight schedule, Mr. Shang needs to leave for Harbor this morning.”

After hearing Chen Jinhai’s explanation, Wen Zhi looked at Shang Hexing across the table and asked, “Is it appropriate for me to go with you? What about my schedule, won’t it expose me?”

Shang Hexing slightly arched his eyebrows, said nothing, and picked up his phone to make a call. Two seconds later, Chen Jinhai picked up, and Shang Hexing simply said, “Never mind, stay at the hotel.”

Chen Jinhai had already reached the elevator when he suddenly received the call to cancel. He immediately guessed the reason.

He chuckled, pocketed his phone, and leisurely went back to rest.

In the presidential suite, after hanging up the call, Shang Hexing said to Wen Zhi, “I’ve told Chen Jinhai to come back. Let’s go now, I’ll accompany you shopping.”

Wen Zhi was stunned for a moment.

Shang Hexing took her hand directly: “Considering the time, shopping now will be just right.”
