She soon arrived at a hospital room guarded by many soldiers.

Around the bed stood Monica’s three older brothers and two older sisters.

Upon seeing Monica enter, they all looked up at her but stayed silent.

"Father."

Looking at her unconscious father on the bed, Monica’s heart trembled violently, and her eyes immediately moistened.

However, at that moment, the comatose Vox suddenly opened his eyes, removed the breathing mask, and sat straight up.

"My spy within the Ghost Shadow Sect has relayed a very important message. Recently, a mysterious high-profile person is coming to our city, and the Ghost Shadow Sect has a batch of goods and people that person wants. If they hand over those items to that individual, they can climb up the ranks, and our situation will become even more dangerous."

"What should we do?" Monica and her siblings asked, their faces turning pale, as they knew too well the difficulty of their current situation.

"If the Ghost Shadow Sect grows stronger, we’ll be finished," they thought.

"Don’t panic, I already have a plan. If we destroy those items and people before the Ghost Shadow Sect can hand them over to that big shot, what do you think will happen?"

"Understood. But, Father, do you know where they’re hiding these people and things?" Monica asked.

"The exact location I’m not sure of, but our inside man provided several suspicious hiding spots. Find a way to investigate and figure out where they’re keeping the goods and people. That way, we can assemble our forces and strike as soon as we locate the hiding spot," Vox explained clearly.

"Alright, we know what to do," Monica and her siblings said seriously.

Late at night, on the bustling Red Manor Street, inside the Zhongge Hotel.

"Damn, this room is awful, the sheets and quilt cover smell moldy," Zhang Yi commented, clicking his tongue.

Standing by the window, Su Ming looked out at the street and said,

"Let’s just put up with it for now. Staying at a fancy hotel is too conspicuous. These kinds of inns might have poor conditions and charge more, but they have one advantage–they don’t check IDs. Usually, innkeepers won’t easily betray us either."
