Chapter 179: Chapter 179: Malfunction (Extra for Alliance Leader Hua Yue Ye) (Fifth Update)

There were also many spectators excitedly shouting.

"Fight hard, beat them to death!"

...

Shiva’s host had no choice but to explain with a wry smile.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please remain calm. Take a look at the Amonks College team, they have arrived at the entrance of the Terra Royal Base. They are about to go down for exploration, and we will soon witness a grand piece of history...."

It must be said that Shiva’s host has quite the skill, quickly shirting the attention of everyone back to the Amonks College team.

The emotionally charged scene gradually calmed down.

"This gate is so tough, can they get in?"

"I don’t know, it might be tough!"

"Look, they’ve made an entrance by breaking through the wall next to the gate."

"Not a bad idea, but I still don’t quite understand. Why is that Imperial Court Academy spy being so kind as to remind them?"

"That guy definitely has ulterior motives!"

"Yes, he has no good intentions."

"It doesn’t matter, it’s just a single mecha. If it dares to bounce around, it will be crushed in minutes!"

"Look, the troops are starting to enter."

...

The entire venue’s audience watched the footage with excitement. They were very curious about what the base looked like inside, what kinds of crises it harbored, and whether there were any survivors still alive.

But just then, there was a sudden snap.

The virtual projection in the arena instantly went out, and all broadcasts were simultaneously interrupted.

All the spectators in the grand arena were stunned, shouting out.

"What happened? Why did the live feed go out?"

"What the heck, it was just getting to the good part!"

...

Shiva’s host was also visibly confused as he turned his head to look towards the simulation pod. He discovered that the league’s simulation pod was still running orderly, but all other devices in the arena were disconnected.

Just as Shiva was at a loss, at that moment, a middle-aged man in a major’s military uniform with a gloomy expression and sharp eyes came down.

He walked directly to Shiva’s host, picked up the microphone, and said solemnly,

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am Major Andak from the Imperial Court Sect. I regret to inform you all of an unfortunate piece of news. There’s been a malfunction in the power equipment of the arena, causing a problem with the real-time playback. Our technicians are working hard to fix it. Please stay calm and be patient!"

After Major Andak finished speaking, it stirred up huge unrest among the audience.

"Quick, fix it!"

"Don’t fail at crucial moments, or we’ll demand a refund!"

"That’s right, fix it quickly, or refund us!"

"Refund!"

...

Major Andak watched the highly agitated crowd, showing no emotion as he spoke.

"I deeply apologize for the equipment malfunction! You have the lawful right to demand action, and to request a refund. However, any disturbances are strictly forbidden and will be dealt with severely."

As Major Andak spoke, soldiers from the Imperial Court Sect wearing exoskeleton armor came down to control the situation.

The scene quieted down for a while. Although many spectators were very annoyed, they dared not speak up at this moment.

These soldiers from the Imperial Court Sect were not to be trifled with.

...

Federation Government Administrative Building · Dawn Hall 2.

Farren and Alicia, among others, had all received information from their subordinates.

They looked down at it, their faces showing a mocking smile.

At that moment, Xiao Lie, furrowing his brows, asked,

"Lord Gakels City Lord, what’s the situation at the arena? Why has the live broadcast been interrupted? The audience down there is very unhappy."

"I just got the news that there’s been a malfunction in the equipment at the arena, and it will take some time to repair,"

Gakels replied expressionlessly.

"If it’s malfunctioned, it’s malfunctioned; it’s not a big deal. But Gakels, there won’t be malfunctions here, will there?"

Farren asked with a hint of sarcasm.

Such minor tricks and excuses might deceive others, but they see right through them.

However, they weren’t angry about Gakels’ methods, which suggested they had guessed correctly; there was definitely something secretive hidden beneath this base.

As long as they could see the secret, it no longer mattered if others could.

"Rest assured, there won’t be any problems here, the circuitry is connected directly to the main device,"

Gakels replied coldly.

"That’s good!"

Alicia chirped back, then redirected her attention to the images.

However, as she watched Su Ming, who was trailing at the end of the group, her smile gradually faded. For some reason, this Su Ming was like a thorn in her side, making her extremely uncomfortable.

Logically, she knew he was insignificant and could not stir up any trouble.

But the more Alicia looked at him, the more irritating he became, and she was yet unable to notify Timi and the others.

Within the Terra Royal Base.

Su Ming followed the troop into the base and entered the main corridor.

The entire main corridor sloped downwards, with a soaring height and width of a hundred meters each. There were rows of lights both on the ceiling and at the bottom of the walls, and since the base was still operational, the lighting was very bright.

"This base seems quite sophisticated!"

Lin Chuyu whispered to Su Ming.

"Indeed, does this transit country have such strong capabilities?"

Su Ming surveyed his surroundings as he walked deeper with the troops and responded.

"I’m not too sure. The Federation’s public data on the Tebonken transit country is quite scarce, and no one really studies this vanquished realm."

Lin Chuyu shook his head.

"That makes sense."

Su Ming thought for a moment and responded.

Just then, a notification popped up on the operating screen.

"External temperature minus 7 degrees, life support system automatically adjusting."

Su Ming glanced at it briefly, then continued walking forward.

He noticed that the seemingly simple design of the main corridor had its flaws; typically, it would be a lot to have one or two partition gates inside a main corridor.

This main corridor had a concealed rising gate every hundred meters.

The security level was absurdly high.

Curiosity welled up within Su Ming, and he pondered silently,

"Could it be that the royalty of this Tebonken transit country has something fishy going on? Or maybe they just have money to burn."

Regrettably, he couldn’t figure it out.

Nevertheless, he would continue exploring since they were inside, expecting that the deeper they went, the more mysteries would unravel.

Moments later, Timi led everyone to the end of the main corridor, and as they stepped out,

everyone stared at the scene in front of them, and were momentarily stunned.

What they saw was an enormous underground experimental hangar spanning ten square kilometers with walls made entirely of metal and soaring up to five hundred meters.

On either side of the hangar, there were five cubic metal platforms, each platform hosting a Mecha standing thirty to over fifty meters tall, each embedded with suppressive armor and having differing, eerie, and daunting appearances.

In the center of the hangar, ten cubic glass columns, each fifty meters tall, stood upright.

These columns contained fused genetic mutants of the Type IV Chilami, each looking ferocious and ugly.

One of these columns had a crack on its surface, allowing the chilling cold air to constantly leak out.

"Wow, Biological Mechas!"

"So many Biological Mechas, and there are ten completed units!"

"My God, this place is actually a Biological Mecha manufacturing base."

"But weren’t Biological Mechas a new type of Mecha that only emerged in recent years? How come they are here?"

"Who knows, ordinary people can’t even touch this stuff, I’ve always wanted to try."

Numerous students started excitedly discussing.

Su Ming looked on, his mind slightly dazed, his expression one of disbelief.

However, Timi and Colonel Dirken fell into silence simultaneously, with their hands trembling slightly, both feeling an inexplicable panic.

Other people couldn’t tell and thought this was merely a production base for Biological Mechas.

But the two of them could see at a glance, this was not a manufacturing base for Biological Mechas, but rather an experimental, research facility!

So, the Federation Government’s Biological Mecha research base was located here.
