Chapter 79: 77 | Weird Questions

Blue’s happiness was short-lived when he heard Adam say, "If you’re able to keep your distance from me for a while, I might find your existence acceptable."

Logan’s throat bobbed. The look in his eyes showed that he found Adam’s words unbelievable, prompting him to say excitedly, "Really?"

"Sure, whatever." Adam responded dismissively.

There was a hopeful smile on Logan’s face. He said some things about doing anything Adam wanted before scampering away. In his absence, Blue walked over to Adam and took the spot that Logan had previously been standing on.

When Adam saw Blue, his eyes widened with surprise. For two reasons. The first was that he hadn’t seen Blue in days and had been trying to reach him but with zero success. The second reason was because he was a bit afraid that Blue might have witnessed him being mean to Logan.

"Blue!" Adam exclaimed. So many things came to his mind to say to Blue but he didn’t know how to say any of them.

He could only grab onto Blue’s wrist and completely drag him into the club room, shutting the entrance afterwards.

"Fuck, what’s wrong with you?" Blue questioned Adam, ripping his hand from Adam’s grip with a frown on his face.

"What’s wrong with me? What’s wrong with you?! When did you and Winter get together? How did you and Winter get together?" Adam’s voice grew louder with each question he asked.

Blue’s frown deepened as he said, "How do you know Winter and I are together?"

His voice was soft as he asked that question, cautious.

Adam looked as if he wanted to facepalm himself before grabbing both of Blue’s forearms and saying, "Everyone knows you’re dating Winter!"

Blue opened his mouth to ask how, but Adam’s voice sounded before his own.

"Winter posted a picture of you and him, saying that the two of you are now together!" Adam explained, Blue’s mouth formed an O.

That explained why Winter’s parents had suddenly showed up to meet him. As well as the pointed looks he has been receiving since he arrived at school.

Blue didn’t know whether to laugh or get annoyed. He and Winter hadn’t said anything about keeping their relationship a secret but who would’ve thought that Winter would go blabbing to the entire world about it?

Blue could only sigh and rub his forehead before he said to Adam, "Well, it’s true. Him and I are together."

There was a look of betrayal on Adam’s face as he asked Blue, "Don’t you hate Alphas anymore?"

The question stunned Blue. He opened his mouth to speak but he didn’t know what to say exactly. Blue still believed that he hated Alphas. Heck, he was able to get irritated just by seeing Logan talking to Adam.

Not just that, he still put on a displeased face when he walked by Alphas. None of that had changed. And with Winter too. Blue also found Winter irritating and annoying, not only because of his personality but because of his gender.

It was still clear where he stood. He hated Alphas but... Winter could be said to be an exception.

"I do. And that doesn’t change anything." Blue finally responded to Adam’s question.

Adam looked unconvinced as he let go of Blue’s arms and said, "You don’t feel disgusted when you look at Winter? Don’t get irritated by his pheromones or his actions?"

Blue was about to say no when he remembered that night Winter had forced a kiss on him. His shoulders trembled before falling.

Though Blue acted like he was over it and was able to accept dating Winter without bringing that subject up, the truth was that he was terrified about it happening again. Terrified that Winter was an Alpha through and through.

Though Winter wouldn’t do such a thing in his right mind as he’d always want to look like a good person in Blue’s eyes, but the fact that Winter’s pheromones had been able to control him and not the other way around...

There would always be a possibility that it would happen again. And that chance was really what Blue was afraid of.

"Let’s not talk about that. The main thing is that I like Winter and we’re together now." Blue spoke conclusively.

Adam frowned and said, "How do you like Winter? What exactly do you like about him?"

"Ugh. Stop asking all these weird questions and leave me alone. I’ve already made my decision." There was an exhaustive edge to Blue’s voice.

However, Adam was not going to let him slip out from this conversation so easily.

"How are they weird questions? Since you’re together with him now shouldn’t answering these things be easy for you? Shouldn’t you want the whole world to know that you’re in love? Just like Winter is doing." Adam said.

This was when Blue’s mood shifted. Why should he want to do things like that? Him dating Winter was only his and Winter’s business. Why should he want to prove to the world that he was ’in love’ with Winter?

How would that benefit him in any way??

"Before judging me and concluding things about my relationship, why don’t you focus on yourself first?" Blue said with an icy tone.

Adam’s jaw dropped. His voice went an octave higher as he asked, "What is that supposed to mean??"

"Exactly what you think it means." Blue didn’t hold back his displeasure as he walked away from Adam and settled down on a chair at the back of the club room.

Adam was stunned by Blue’s choice of words and still wanted to argue with him, but because of the stream of people that began filing into the club room, he had no choice but to swallow his words and carry on with welcoming the people.

There was a bright smile on Adam’s face as he spoke to everyone who walked into the club room through the door. That was until it was Winter’s turn to step into the room.

Not only Adam, but everyone else didn’t know how to receive Winter. Their eyes moved to look at Blue. Blue didn’t even know that Winter had arrived. His eyes were fixed on his phone.

"Hi..." Adam said awkwardly to Winter.

He couldn’t believe that this man standing in front of him had been able to wear Blue down so hard. He could still remember when Winter had told him and Oliver that he wanted to seriously chase Blue.

It hadn’t even been up to a month and he had already successfully caught Blue. What kind of terrifying achievement was that?

"Hey." Winter said with a bright smile on his face, keeping up with the character profile he had been building up so far.

"I saw your post. Congratulations." Adam said.

"Thank you," Winter said as a glint flashed his eyes. The smile on his face contorted into a different one from the norm.

Adam had never seen Winter smile in such a way before. It was so... real.

Adam wasn’t given the chance to scrutinize Winter anymore as the latter decided to walk past him and settle down.

Since there was still time before the meeting started, the members took the opportunity to bombard Winter with questions.

Right at the open center of the clubroom, Winter was surrounded by questioning Omegas.

"Sunshine Prince, was your post real? Do you truly like that guy?"

"Sunshine Prince, you’ve broken my heart. I can’t believe that you would do such a thing. Why?"

"What is so likable about that guy that made you want to date him? He has such a foul personality!"

"Sunshine Prince, I hope you’re not being manipulated by that demon, if you are, tell us and we’ll help you."

Blue, who had been playing a game on his phone, upon hearing such silly things had no choice but to lift his head up. He glanced in the direction of Winter and the senseless crowd around him.

There was a frown on Blue’s face as he regarded them. Didn’t these people have any sense of self-respect?! What did they believe would happen by badmouthing him in front of Winter?

Did they think that Winter had no idea that he was a bad person with a cruel character?

Blue rolled his eyes at his own internal question. These people didn’t even know that Winter had two faces. How would they even be able to piece in the face that he and Winter had an understanding?

"I’m not being manipulated or in any need to be saved. I am perfectly okay with my partner." Winter said with a polite tone, coupled with a ’sincere’ smile.

Blue had the urge to gag as he watched Winter play saint.

Why did Winter care so much about the opinion of others?! Was there any need for him to pretend like a good person in front of them despite their annoying behavior??

Blue truly didn’t understand what Winter was doing with his so-called reputation. Why was it so important? He wondered.

Blue looked at Winter and thought of something—

Had Winter been unloved before?
