Chapter 68: 66 | Romantic Relationship

Blue almost exploded with anger when he saw that Winter had posted such nonsense on his public profile. Which was why hundreds of people he didn’t know from anywhere were bombarding his line with death threats.

"That fucking idiot..." Blue said to himself. Though he felt angry, he didn’t sound angry at all. In fact, if one were to look closely, there was a trace of a smile on his lips and his voice was hinted with amusement.

Blue wasn’t given enough time to focus on the issue at hand as a lecturer strolled into the lecture hall and quickly began the class.

Blue had always been an attentive student, trying his best to bring out the best in his academics. Which included attending all of his lectures and never missing out on his quizzes and tests.

However, for the first time in a long time, Blue wasn’t able to concentrate in class. All because of a certain person.

"Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow." Winter repeated that string of words as he was dragged by the ear into a secluded area of Chestfied.

It was only when he and his assaulter reached a certain deserted area that his ear was spared.

"Ow!" Winter exclaimed for the last time once he was set free as he began to massage his ear with scrunched-up facial features.

"What is wrong with you?" Winter asked Blue with a frown on his face.

However, after finally setting his eyes on Blue since his ear had first been captured, all the courage and amusement that had been bubbling up inside his system began to quench little by little.

Blue’s entire body was red with anger and he stood like a god who was about to destroy his own creation.

"What did I say when I texted you earlier today?" Blue asked Winter with a monotonous voice and a blank expression.

Winter was still rubbing his ear when he said, "I should take back my confession since it was annoying and bothering you or something."

There was no need for Winter to add ’or something’ as he had already answered in the most accurate manner. He had just wanted to sound casual about the fact that he could remember everything that Blue had ever said or texted to him.

"And what did you do?" Blue asked Winter.

Winter remained silent.

"I said, what did you do?"

Winter still didn’t respond.

Blue lifted his hand and threatened, "If you don’t speak, I’ll break your jaw for good."

"... I did another nonsense." Winter admitted with a small voice.

Blue’s hand still hung in the air, the threat of Winter being beaten up still lingered.

Winter wouldn’t ever admit it out loud but he knew that if he and Blue ever got into a fight one day; a fight without the use of pheromones and the influence of heat and rut, there was a very high chance that Blue could beat him to a pulp.

"You know, you know- you... hahhh." Blue gave up what he was saying as he let down his hand and sighed, placing both of his hands on his waist.

Blue didn’t know what to say anymore. Lecturing Winter and warning him never brought anything into fruition.

"But it’s true, is it not?" Winter suddenly spoke with a gutsy tone.

Blue lifted his head and raised a brow in question at Winter’s words, then said, "What’s true?"

"The fact that I am currently chasing you and want to establish a romantic relationship with you." Winter said with a smooth tone, leaning closer to Blue.

Blue’s shoulders began to tremble. They were both in a deserted area—courtesy of him. And as fate would have it, there was a tree less than three meters behind him.

If he chose to back up, he would end up having nowhere to run to after a few backward steps.

"Don’t talk nonsense." Blue took his eyes off Winter and faced a different direction.

"It’s not nonsense. Do you think you’re so unlovable that there’s a zero chance of me falling in love with you after spending so much time in your company?" Winter asked, closing the distance between the two of them.

Blue’s breath hitched in his throat after registering those words in his head.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Blue had always believed that he was so unlovable to the point where the more someone spent time in his company, the more they would realize that he was not worthy of them and would begin to back away from him.

He has had more than one experience to back up the logic behind this reasoning of his. So hearing that there was a chance that Winter could be ’in love’ with him after spending so much time in his company just sounded like a far-fetched lie in Blue’s ears.

"I told you not to talk nonsense." Blue’s gaze was fixed on the ground as he said those words with a small voice.

"And I’ve told you that I’m chasing you and planning on entering a relationship with you. There’s that. So what do you think?" Winter spoke casually, then went ahead to swing an arm around Blue’s shoulders.

Blue frowned, taking Winter’s arm off his shoulders as he said, "Do whatever. Just make sure you get your act together by the weekend."

"Weekend?" Winter questioned with a puzzled tone.

Blue gave him a dead stare. It took a few moments for Winter’s mouth to form an ’O’ as he remembered that he was supposed to ’take care’ of Blue during his next heat cycle which was on the weekend.

A lustful smile made its way to Winter’s lips as he thought of many ways to ’help’ Blue during his heat.

Blue could mostly read Winter’s thoughts from the look on his face and rolled his eyes at the sleazy Alpha.

"Just be there. And don’t be... stupid." Blue added the last word with a whisper, then pushed past Winter and walked away.

Winter watched Blue until he completely disappeared from his line of vision, prompting him to break into a fit of laughter.

Winter’s palm covered his face as he said to himself:

"Soon..."

Author has something to say: I want to apologize for not updating for the past few days. I write on my phone and the screen broke badly. I’ve gotten in fixed now and instead to fix my broken laptop too so I’d begin writing with that.
