Chapter 62: 60 | Let Me Go

Sensing the rich and enticing scent of Blue’s pheromones, Winter was overcome with a dangerous insight.

’Is he okay?’ Winter asked himself as concern surged through his being.

In the recent times that he’d met up with Blue, Winter could always guess that Blue wasn’t completely fine. He couldn’t tell the exact thing that was bothering Blue, but he knew that there was something.

And it was serious.

Winter advanced to bang on Blue’s door to call out Blue’s attention. Once his knuckles made contact with the door, Winter realized something—the door was unlocked.

Winter only needed to push the door lightly for it to open up.

’Who leaves their door unlocked by this time of the night!?’

Winter couldn’t tell if Blue was stupid or if he was very stupid. As Winter walked into Blue’s house, the smell of Blue’s pheromones grew heavier and more intoxicating.

Winter squeezed his fists tight as he took a big whiff of Blue’s pheromones that were wafting around the air. Vanilla, vanilla, vanilla. It was everywhere.

Winter was slowly going mad from the amount of pheromones that was floating around him and intertwining with his own pheromones that he still hadn’t realized were leaking.

Winter navigated his way to Blue’s bedroom; a place where he had never been to. This was because the scent of Blue’s pheromones were heavier on that section of the house. Winter readied himself for whatever he was going to see as he twisted the door knob of the bedroom and took a peek inside.

Lo and behold, Blue was actually inside the room. He was lying on the bed, seeming to be sleeping.

Winter couldn’t explain why but his anger increased once again after seeing Blue. He shed off the cautiousness that he’d put up when he walked into Blue’s house.

It was pure anger and boldness that led Winter as he walked into the room and made his way to the bed Blue was lying down on.

Though sleeping, Blue did not look relaxed. His facial features were pinched, as though he was facing a difficult problem. His hands were wrapped around his stomach and he was cuddled into himself.

He would make strange noises from time to time, showing that he was not alright. However, Blue’s miserable condition wasn’t enough to melt Winter’s anger.

"You fool..." Winter said as he leaned down and touched Blue, grabbing him by the chin. Blue stirred in his sleep at the sudden contact, but didn’t wake up yet.

Winter used his thumb to press down on Blue’s lower lip, the urge to do something unholy surged inside him. Before he was able to resist or give in to the wicked temptation of his own mind, Blue slowly opened his eyes.

Feeling Winter’s finger on his mouth and seeing Winter hovering above him, sensing that both of their pheromones were floating in the air, Blue assumed the worst.

He lifted his knee and used it to attack Winter, going for his crotch for the second time today. Winter groaned out loud. Blue used the opportunity to push Winter off him and rise up from the bed, not forgetting to grab the nearest object his hand could reach for.

It turned out to be the lamp by his bed stand. Blue held onto the lamp tight and wanted to use it to whack the back of Winter’s head. However, fortunately, Winter recovered from the kick quickly and was able to put a stop to Blue’s attack by grabbing his wrist.

Blue roared and wanted to use his free hand to attack Winter. Winter grabbed that hand as well, completely restraining Blue. Winter tightened the grip on Blue’s first hand, evoking a pained cry from his mouth and causing the lamp to slip from his grasp and collide with the floor.

Shards flew all over the room, but none did any damage to Winter and Blue who were standing together, both breathing heavily.

"Let go of me!" Blue cried out, struggling with all his might.

His entire body was burning with fear. Who wouldn’t be afraid to wake up in the middle of the night and discover that an Alpha had broken into their house and was about to assault them?

"Calm down! Fucking calm down!" Winter shouted at Blue, realizing that his head was not right at all.

Blue didn’t calm down. Instead, his struggle increased. He began to kick Winter however he could, thrashing about the place and hitting Winter in any way.

Winter had to flip Blue around and hold him down tightly as he kept on saying, "Calm down. Calm down. Calm down."

Blue didn’t stop saying, "Let me go. Let me go. Let me go."

It took a long time before their voices began to decrescendo and they both stopped speaking. It was only the sound of their breathing that could be heard in the room. And the smell of both of their pheromones were the only scent that could be picked up.

"What are you doing here?" Blue asked Winter, finally speaking with a composed tone.

Winter still wasn’t sure if Blue was okay, so he didn’t let go of him just yet.

"You didn’t come to meet me." Winter said, suddenly remembering the reason why he was here in the first place.

The anger that had slipped out while he was trying to calm Blue down returned to Winter at full force. Winter remembered how he had waited for almost five hours, hoping and believing that Blue would show up.

He remembered how cold he had been and how many times his subconscious self had advised him to leave and rest in his car, but he had decided against doing so with the mind that if he left, there was a chance that he would miss Blue who could come at any time.

He was so angry and so hurt. During this moment, his grip on Blue seemed to have loosened up. Blue didn’t waste any time in freeing himself from Winter and putting up a good distance between the two of them.

"I didn’t tell you I was going to come, did I?" Blue said with a frown on his face, checking his wrists and discovering that they were red and marked with Winter’s handprints.

"You also didn’t tell me you weren’t going to come, did you?!" Winter fired back, unable to control himself from exploding with anger.

"So what?! Does that give you the right to yell at me and break into my house? What the fuck is wrong with you? What were you trying to do to me!? Are you sick in the head or something?!" Blue used the exact tone Winter took with him, refusing to put up an afraid front because of Winter’s terrifying demeanor.

Yes, Winter was looking awfully terrifying right now, reminding Blue that above all, Winter was still an Alpha. The veins on the side of Winter’s head were throbbing and his fists were squeezed shut, almost like he was preparing his hands for an attack.

Blue was truly afraid. There was no one else here but them. The possibility of so many different things happening right now... they were all horrifying.

"Why are you so unreasonable? I wanted to talk to you. You know why? Because of your fucking tendency to run away from reality and pretend as if nothing but your false beliefs exists!" Winter exclaimed.

"Get out of my house." Blue said after a beat. "Get out now and never re—"

"No." Winter cut Blue off. "I’m not going anywhere."

Winter took a step forward in Blue’s direction after saying those words. Like clockwork, Blue took an equal step back. Winter took one step forward once again. They both continued like this until there wasn’t any space behind Blue to take a step backward.

"Don’t be an Alpha." Blue said when he realized there was nowhere to run to.

Blue suddenly felt like he was sixteen again and it was time for him to receive a temporary mark from an Alpha in the Heat Room.

His pheromones were all over the place and the back of his neck was aching. Blue could even hear the sound of his own heart beat as it thumped loudly.

"You once said, ’No one can move past what they are.’ This is what I am. And this is what I want."

Winter smashed his lips against Blue’s lips after he said those words. The breath that Blue was about to inhale was trapped inside his mouth.

Winter kissed Blue as though he hated him. He kissed him aggressively and without mercy, forcing Blue’s mouth open and wickedly invading it.

Blue couldn’t breathe. He grabbed onto Winter’s hand, tapping him and wanting to push him away, but Winter didn’t relent even one bit.

Winter put his hand at the back of Blue’s neck. He stroked Blue’s neck and kissed him dominantly, rebuking the idea of gentleness.

Blue was weak, all over. He couldn’t even use his legs to hit Winter as they had grown weak from the physical contact. Blue couldn’t do anything.

He could only close his eyes as a tear trailed down his cheek.
