Shades of Blue (Omegaverse BL) -
Chapter 32 - 31 | Doberman
Chapter 32: 31 | Doberman
It had been five sessions of Q and A with Blue and Winter, yet, the relationship between the two of them was still frozen with no improvement. Especially from Blue’s side.
He put up a very clear distance between himself and Winter. There were two reasons for that. The first reason was obviously because Winter was an Alpha. A thousand reasons to stay away from Winter sprouted out of only that.
The second reason was because Blue always thought about the imaginary man from the other day in the bathroom whenever he was with Winter. Blue kept deluding himself that the man who had dominated him from his imagination was different from Winter in his front, who was very annoying.
"Alright, that’s it for today. I started with the prologue yesterday and wrote half of the first Chapter. Our meetups aren’t for nothing after all." Blue said, closing his laptop and wrapping up the session of the day.
"Oh really?" One side of Winter’s lips tilted up. "That’s good news then."
Blue only hummed. Adam walked into the living room immediately after that exchange. It was as though he had been waiting for them to wrap up so that he could step out.
And truly, he had been waiting for that. Ever since the first session that Adam had missed, he took it upon himself to never sleep whenever Blue and Winter came over to his place.
Which was why at the end of every meetup between Blue and Winter, Adam would insert himself and try to get closer to Winter. He was always unsuccessful since Winter always left immediately after they finished up.
He did this because Blue always refused to have a repeat of their first meeting where they had dinner together afterwards. What was the point in staying around when it wasn’t going to be with Blue?
"You guys are done, right? Good." Adam chirped up, standing in the center of the living room.
Winter began to think of excuses to give to Adam when the latter would invite him to hang out or do something.
"My dog—"
"Blue, you’re free, right?"
Winter was already speaking when Adam faced Blue with a question. Blue nodded his head in affirmation. Immediately, Adam jumped over to Blue and slung his arm around his shoulders.
"Good. We’re going out tonight." Adam said.
Blue didn’t refuse Adam’s words. Satisfied with that, Adam turned to Winter and said, "Your dog what?"
"Huh?" Winter questioned.
"You said something about your dog just now? What about it?" Adam clarified.
Winter’s eyes widened as his mouth formed an O. He had wanted to lie and say that his dog was sick and he had to take him to a vet—this was a dog that didn’t even exist—just so he could avoid engaging with Adam.
However, Adam seemed to have spared him today and went for Blue. So there was no need to lie anymore.
"Oh... My dog... I wanted to check on a dog that should be mine tonight." Winter slowly worked his way around a lie.
Blue looked at Winter with a raised brow. He was certainly able to tell that Winter was lying. However, Adam couldn’t tell. He easily believed Winter’s words with his eyes widening.
"Really? What kind of dog is it?" Adam asked with excitement.
"A doberman." Winter said without thinking.
"That’s so cute!" Adam jumped on his toes.
Blue pinched the bridge of his nose in disappointment before tapping Adam’s shoulder to calm him down and say, "Where are we going tonight?"
Adam’s eyes widened in realization and he hit his own head.
"Oh. Oh. Oh. That’s right. Get dressed. We’re going clubbing." Adam said, pushing Blue in the direction of the bedroom.
Winter felt that his presence was no longer needed, so he dismissed himself from the house quietly. Just as he got to his car and was about to begin his drive back home, he received a call from Logan.
"What?" Winter said to the other person on the other side of the phone.
"Winnieee...!" Logan drawled from the phone.
Winter could already sense that the latter was drunk. He had planned to go home and drink to sleep. But now, it seemed like he’d have to go babysitting.
"Where are you?" Winter asked impatiently.
"Huh? Is this Winnie?" Logan slurred as he spoke.
"Call me Winnie one more time and you’re spending the night wherever you are." Winter said.
"It’s really you...!"
"Tell me where you are, you fool." Winter rubbed his face with his hand.
Before Logan got a chance to speak, there was a break in the line and an unfamiliar voice said, "This is Berryblast. Come here right now before this guy pukes all over the place."
Winter sighed and agreed, then terminated the call. He knew Berryblast. He had gone there before with some group of people who wanted to use him to get girls.
Winter immediately set the location on his phone and began the drive to Berryblast.
Meanwhile, Blue was forced into the bathroom to wash up so he and Adam could go clubbing. After freshening up, Blue walked out of the bathroom wearing a white robe with a towel hanging over his shoulders.
He walked to the dressing mirror to find the hair dryer, and that was when Adam walked into the room.
"Why aren’t you ready yet? Be fast!" Adam pouted, then walked over to the wardrobe to pick out clothes for Blue.
Though Adam was ten centimeters taller than Blue, they were roughly about the same size and could share clothes.
"You still haven’t told me why we’re suddenly going clubbing." Blue said, then switched on the hair dryer.
The color of his hair gradually turned from shiny black to a shade that was more inky with hints of blue in it.
Blue paused to hear what Adam had to say after he had finished picking out clothes for them.
"I want to have sex with a stranger." Adam said straightforwardly.
Blue wasn’t even fazed by Adam’s bluntness. It wasn’t the first, second, third, or twentieth time that Adam had been in the mood for a one-night stand and dragged him along for accompaniment.
Now knowing the reason why he was getting ready to go clubbing, Blue’s movements suddenly grew less enthusiastic.
If only he had known what was waiting for him at the club that he was getting ready to go to.
