Chapter 151 - 149 | Three Weeks
Chapter 151: 149 | Three Weeks
"I told you not to cry," Blue said to Winter after hearing his sniffles and feeling Winter’s tears on his hair.
"I’m not crying," Winter defended himself with a voice that sounded like he was indeed crying.
Blue rolled his eyes and disentangled himself from Winter’s hug. Winter’s red eyes were even redder, and the tip of his nose was just like a bell of pepper.
"Mmm hmm," Blue said, letting Winter shamelessly wipe his tears away.
When he was done, Winter said, "But really, how are you feeling now? Are you sure you’re okay? I can still get the doctor if you’re–"
"I’m fine. I swear it," Blue cut Winter off with a reassuring tone.
"I won’t take much of your time then. Adam and the others have been waiting outside to see you so..."
"What are you saying?" Blue asked Winter after he trailed off.
"I’ve seen that you’re okay so I’m just gonna go and–"
"Are you stupid or something? Who cares about Adam and the others? I called for you so it obviously means that I want to be with you. And not anyone else." Blue said.
Winter’s eyes widened with surprise as he registered Blue’s words in his head. "Really?"
Blue nodded his head. "Just stay with me and say nonsense things that’d make me forget why I’m at a hospital."
Winter smiled foolishly. "What kind of nonsense things do you want to hear?"

Blue stayed at the hospital two more days before he was discharged. This was because they had to observe him to confirm that he was in a very stable condition before letting him leave.
On the way home after Blue’s discharge, Winter didn’t drive Blue back to his apartment. Instead, he brought Blue along with him to his own place.
Blue had stayed three days at Winter’s place before he realized something was wrong when Winter was cooking shirtless in the kitchen.
"What are you doing?" Blue slowly asked Winter.
"Stirring up some fry," Winter responded with a hint of amusement in his tone as he lifted his head and glanced at Blue who was settled on a stool at the other side of the kitchen island.
"Why didn’t you take me to a restaurant? Did you think I wouldn’t notice what you’re doing?" Blue narrowed his eyes as he spoke to Winter.
Winter turned off the cooker, pretending to be ignorant as he said, "And what am I doing?"
Blue slid down from the stool he was sitting on and said, "You’re keeping me again. I want to go back to my place, Winter. I don’t like this."
"Oh, that’s what you mean," Winter said nonchalantly as he brought out two dishes. "Maybe I forgot to tell you, but you’re not going back to ’your place’ again. You’re staying with me from now on till forever."
Blue’s jaw dropped.
"Is it so surprising? Have you forgotten that we’re engaged to be married? You’ll be staying with me either way so there’s nothing odd with starting now." Winter walked around to meet with Blue.
Then he picked up Blue’s hand and kissed the ring on his finger.
"I don’t want to ever be apart from you, Blue. I want you to understand this more than anything," Winter spoke with a low voice, his breath fanning Blue’s knuckles and making Blue feel all fuzzy inside.
"Winter, you know why I got that place for myself," the logical part of Blue spoke up, suppressing his foolishly in love self.
It was so they wouldn’t fight too much. It was so the distance would make them love each other more and reduce the possibility of them getting too much in each other’s business and flaring up.
"I do. I also know why I want you to stay with me now." Winter countered.
He wanted to do his best to avoid a repetition of what happened. If they’d been together, if they hadn’t been apart from each other, maybe he’d have found out earlier that there was something wrong with Blue somewhere.
"Winter..." Blue was not in agreement with Winter’s line of thought.
"Blue, please." Winter said, speaking with a tone that resonated finality.
"No more arguing. No more complaints. No more overthinking. I’m the- I’m the man of this house," Winter puffed out his bare chest as he spoke, making Blue raise a brow.
"I-I know what’s best for you. Even if you don’t believe me. So, from now on, you’re going to do what I tell you to and how I tell you to." Winter said.
Blue tried to shove down the laughter bubbling in his throat as he said, "Man of this house, huh?"
Winter nodded. "Yes. I go to work, I cook, clean, and care for Winter Junior. I believe I’m qualified to be both the man and the woman of the house."
This time, Blue didn’t try to suppress his laughter, letting it all out and offending Winter with it.
"Winter, please. I can’t get mad at you when you act like such a kid all the time." Blue said in between laughter.
Winter didn’t get the joke, so he just stared at Blue with crossed arms and a frown on his face. Once Blue sobered up, he dished food out for himself and said to Winter, pointing a spoon at him, "You still haven’t taken me out on our date."
Winter’s brows furrowed in confusion. "What date?"
"The date you were supposed to take me out on and tell me something ’important.’" Blue air-quoted the word, ’important’.
"Oh. That," Winter said with realization, "I postponed the date. But you can know the important thing now."
Blue leaned in closer to hear what Winter wanted to say.
"We’re getting married in two months!" Winter cheered.
Just as Blue opened his mouth to speak, the sound of ringing came out.
Blue’s phone that was settled on the kitchen island vibrated as it rang. Blue picked up the phone and read the caller’s ID to be ’Director Ken’.
Someone whom he hadn’t spoken to in a long time. Blue accepted the call and placed the phone against his ear.
"Blue! Hi!" The refreshing sound of the elderly alpha’s voice rang inside Blue’s ears.
Ever since the end of the production of Blue’s book, no, to be specific, ever since the terrible last cast and crew dinner they had which ended up with Adonis getting beaten to a pulp by Winter, Blue hadn’t spoken to Ken or anyone involved in the adaptation.
Now that Ken had taken the initiative to call him, it only meant one thing.
"The movie has passed all its verifications! A date has been set for the premiere!" Ken said with excitement.
His voice was not at all low, so Winter, who was beside Blue, was able to hear all that Ken was saying. His eyes widened with glee as he processed Ken’s words.
"Oh, that’s amazing." Blue’s reaction was not as enthusiastic as the other two party listening
"It’s more than amazing. The premiere is set in three weeks! Tickets are already on sale and we are killing the charts!"
Blue was nodding in a composed manner as he listened to Ken’s words.
"I can’t wait. See you at the premiere." Blue said.
"Huh? Um yeah. See you at the premiere." Ken sounded a bit confused, and Blue used the opportunity to terminate the call and sign with relief.
"Yo! Blue, did you just hear that?!"
"Two months?"
Winter and Blue spoke at the same time respectively.
"Where was I when you were deciding to get married in two months?" Blue asked Winter, using a no-no sense tone.
Winter’s expression changed as he explained himself. "That should be the most ideal time to get married. I thought you wouldn’t have any problems with it."
"Most ideal time? For who?" Blue questioned, the pitch of his voice already rising.
Winter quickly noticed this and wrapped his arms around Blue to soothe him as he spoke.
"For you. For us," he placed a kiss on Blue’s forehead. "We have to get married before you give birth to avoid silly things. And you’d look wonderful with a six-month old Winter Junior inside you."
Winter reached for Blue’s belly and rubbed it as he spoke. Blue was already smiling as Winter spoke nonsense things.
Then he squatted down and lifted Blue’s shirt to kiss his bare belly.
"Winter, stop it," Blue slapped the back of Winter’s head.
"Ouch. Don’t you think your daddy would look nice when you’re six months old?" Winter asked his junior.
"I can’t believe you right now–"
"Shh. Let me hear what he has to say," Winter cut Blue off, causing the latter to roll his eyes. Then he pressed his ear against Blue’s stomach and went, "Uh huh. Yes. I am right!"
"Blue, did you hear that? WJ thinks I’m right," Winter looked up to Blue with a blinding smile on his face.
All Blue could do was smile silly and shake his head. Not arguing with Winter was fun, Blue thought as he looked at the silly alpha who was using childish tactics to calm him down.
It was fun.
Author’s note: I’m out of the hospital! It was against medical advice cause I’m having an exam tomorrow and was still asked to be out under observation for three more days. But phew. It’s nice to be back.
