Seeking Fortune and Avoiding Misfortune: Starting from the Celestial Master’s Mansion
Chapter 137: Achieve the Holy Body and be reborn for the second time!

Lei Jun was tall, and his residence had been modified earlier. Although Gungun had some difficulty squeezing through the door, at least there was no need to dismantle the door or walls.

Once they were inside, Yuan Mobai's expression had already returned to normal. He sat down, glanced at Lei Jun and Gungun, and ignored Lei Jun's previous question. Instead, he asked, “How is the Shushan Sect doing now?”

Lei Jun immediately adjusted his demeanor and replied, “The storm has calmed for now, but the undercurrents are still turbulent.”

The internal war within the Shushan Sect seemed to have reached a conclusion, and unlike the previous split within the Tianshi Mansion, there was no apparent fragmentation. However, the Shushan disciples were far from being at ease.

The battle had spread too widely, dragging almost all the top experts of Shushan into the conflict. After the bloody fight, the once-neutral faction that mediated between internal and external disputes had nearly been wiped out...

“I still hope the comrades in Shushan can hold the situation together,” Yuan Mobai sighed lightly.

Lei Jun understood what his master was implying. If Shushan fell into internal strife again, another battle could break out. It wasn’t that the Shushan experts were eager to fight; the problem was that even if they refrained from conflict, there were others who wanted them to fight. In the face of both internal and external pressures, the ability to maintain unity was crucial.

Lei Jun then shared more details of his recent trip to Bashu with Yuan Mobai. He skimmed over the Light Sphere in his mind and his fortune omens, merely attributing his successes to luck and inspiration. Other than showing particular interest in the affairs of Shushan, Yuan Mobai didn't inquire much about the other matters.

When Lei Jun recounted how his extended stay at Rain Mountain had drawn Gungun there, attracted by the Upper Qing Golden Bamboo, Yuan Mobai chuckled and said, “Well, it’s a stroke of opportunity.”

Lei Jun asked, “Master, are you taking on another disciple?”

Yuan Mobai shook his head. “You’re the one who bonded with it, not me.”

He looked at the still somewhat bewildered but intelligent panda. “Chongyun, you've been initiated for quite some time now. Having passed the Initiation and reached the Fourth Heaven Realm, by normal rules, you can start accepting disciples.”

“Me?” Lei Jun turned to look at Gungun.

Human and panda exchanged glances and blinked simultaneously.

So, my master is a panda, and now my future disciple might be a panda too? Well, this is certainly a twist of fate... Lei Jun chuckled to himself.

He turned back to Yuan Mobai. “Master, what should I do next?”

Yuan Mobai explained, “The sect rules state that without passing the Initiation Ceremony, you cannot teach the sect’s core Daoist arts. However, I have another set of teachings you can guide it through and nurture it with spiritual items. Once this mountain panda fully awakens its intelligence and can change its form, it can be sent to the Daoist Children's Academy. After following the proper rites, it will gain eligibility to participate in the Initiation Ceremony and formally become your disciple. After that, everything will be straightforward.”

Master, you really are experienced... Lei Jun thought.

Yuan Mobai seemed to know what Lei Jun was thinking and shook his head slightly. “No need to guess. Yes, your grandmaster arranged the same for me back then.”

His expression calmed, and he seemed lost in memory. “Time flies. It’s been over a hundred years...”

Lei Jun stood quietly, not disturbing Yuan Mobai. Soon enough, Yuan Mobai returned to the present and passed on a new set of Daoist arts to Lei Jun.

Lei Jun received it — the "Taishang Induction Chapter: Transformation Scroll."

“A disciple who doesn’t understand the principles of the Dao shouldn’t misguide others.” Lei Jun glanced at the giant Gungun beside him. “Let’s use this method and spiritual items to help this lazy fellow unlock its intelligence first. Then we can ask it which master it wants to follow.”

Yuan Mobai nodded with a smile. “That’s a good plan.”

Lei Jun continued, “Master, I promised it a meal of Upper Qing Golden Bamboo to convince it to leave home and come to our Mount Longhu. What do you think?”

Yuan Mobai smiled. “It can’t be placed inside. Very well, I’ll handle it.”

Although Gungun couldn’t understand much human speech yet, it seemed attuned to fate. Its little eyes sparkled with joy at the mention of Upper Qing Golden Bamboo.

Seeing this, both Lei Jun and Yuan Mobai laughed.

After a few more jokes, Lei Jun took out his most important find from Bashu: a purple True Yin Bamboo Core. He also brought out the pristine True Yang Mystic Flower. The two items together exuded a mysterious harmony.

Yuan Mobai nodded slowly. “Indeed, these are two complementary spiritual items.”

Under Yuan Mobai’s guidance, Lei Jun gained a deeper understanding. A few days later, when he was fully prepared — with his essence, energy, and spirit at their peak — Lei Jun began the crucial next step.

To ensure secrecy and avoid disruption, Lei Jun chose to perform the ritual in Yuan Mobai’s residence. He set up the Altar of Purity, sat on the Three-Tiered Altar, and burned incense to the heavens.

As the blue smoke curled upwards, Lei Jun stretched his arms out to the sides. Above his head, three Primal Talismans shimmered with spiritual light, forming a radiant veil. The True Yin Bamboo Core and True Yang Mystic Flower shattered into streams of light when activated by his mana.

Black and white streams of yin-yang energy flowed into Lei Jun’s palms. He formed a hand seal and held it in front of his chest. The black and white energy appeared on the light veil, intertwining and resonating with his internal yin-yang spirits.

A Taiji Yin-Yang Diagram formed atop his Primal Talismans. The figures of a dragon and a tiger emerged, representing the balance of yin and yang in the Tianshi Mansion tradition.

The black and white energy sank into his Primal Talismans and merged with his spirit and soul. In his True-One Altar Grotto-Heaven, the energies fused, producing a faint clear energy.

Lei Jun felt his body lighten. When he activated his mana, he felt the forces of yin and yang interwoven within him. His Primal Talisman glowed alternately with black and white energy.

[Yin-Yang Sacred Physique]

Lei Jun’s heart leaped with joy — he had succeeded! With the aid of the True-One Altar, True Yang Mystic Flower, and True Yin Bamboo Core, his bone structure had advanced from the Hidden Dragon Spirit Physique to the Yin-Yang Sacred Physique.

His cultivation level rose as well — his fourth Primal Talisman manifested, marking his completion of the Fourth Heaven Realm.

Yuan Mobai smiled approvingly. “Good. This will lay a solid foundation for your cultivation in the Fifth Heaven Dao Palace Realm.”

“Master, rest assured, I will follow your teachings diligently,” Lei Jun said.
