Chapter 926: 005 Parents approve, younger aunt causes difficulties_3

"Auntie, hello," Avery Graham quickly called out.

"Ah, how nice, you really are beautiful," Jollie Auclair’s mother nodded with a smile at Avery Graham.

Jollie Auclair’s mother had the look of an honest housewife, didn’t wear makeup, and seemed like a very down-to-earth woman; Avery Graham had a pretty good impression of her.

"Thank you, Auntie," Avery Graham was very embarrassed.

"Mom, where are Dad and my little sister?" He knew he was going to bring his girlfriend home today, but then, except for his mother, his father and sister had yet to appear.

"Your dad went to buy seafood, and I guess your sister is upstairs; anyway, I haven’t seen her until now," Jollie Auclair’s mother answered cheerfully, her eyes glancing at Avery Graham and involuntarily looking away.

She really liked Avery Graham, the prospective daughter-in-law; she was so beautiful, the prettiest one brought back from the big city in their residential area.

She had always said her son would definitely bring back the best, and indeed, he had brought back the best.

"Brother, Mom," Jollie Auclair walked in from outside with some snacks after being told to bring something delicious for the girl his father said a man wouldn’t know to buy, so he went out with his daughter to help.

"This is your Sister Avery, say hello," Jollie Auclair’s mother nodded, calling her daughter.

"Sister Avery, hello. Welcome to our home," Jollie Auclair earnestly greeted Avery Graham.

"This is my little sister, Jollie," Michael Auclair introduced his sister to Avery.

"Jollie, hello, these are a few outfits I picked out for you, I’m not sure if you’ll like them or not," Avery Graham handed the few bags of clothes to her.

"Thanks, Sister Avery," Jollie Auclair loved new clothes, and seeing the delicate bags Avery Graham was holding, she could guess that these clothes were probably not cheap.

After the New Year, she would wear them out to show her classmates who looked down on her that she wasn’t someone who couldn’t afford nice clothes.

She had heard from her mother before that Avery Graham ran a shop in the big city, a cake shop, and she knew that people who could run a cake shop made a lot of money.

On a dating show on TV last time, she saw a woman who made cakes earn hundreds of thousands in a year.

For their family, that amount of yearly income was really not low, especially for a woman; naturally, men are different, like her brother, who could earn millions in a year.

Most of the women around here were housewives.

She had repeated high school three times just to get into a good university, like her brother. Now, she had another goal: to get into a top university and establish herself in a big city like Avery Graham.

"You’re welcome," Avery Graham shook her head.

"Mom, these are for you and Dad from Avery. For our relatives, Avery and I will find time to treat them to a meal, what do you think?" This was Michael Auclair’s plan, having returned home; naturally, he needed to discuss it with his parents. If it wasn’t feasible, they would just buy something locally.

"Hmm, that sounds good," Jollie Auclair’s mother nodded; she actually didn’t want them to buy anything for their relatives, inviting them to a restaurant for a meal was fine.

The other relatives had done the same before.

"Then that’s settled. Dad hasn’t come back yet; I’ll go pick him up," Michael Auclair checked the time. Lunch was about to be ready, and his father still wasn’t back.

"No need, Dad will be back any minute," the person stopping Michael Auclair was Jollie Auclair. Then, she took the initiative to pull Avery Graham’s hand, "Sister Avery, come upstairs with me, to my room, and help me check out these new clothes, okay?"

"Sure, okay," Avery Graham put down what she was carrying, "Auntie, these are for you and Uncle."

"Ah, good, we’re just happy you’re willing to come to our home. From now on, just come anytime, no need to bring so much, okay?" Jollie Auclair’s mother took Avery Graham’s hand. That she would come to their home without looking down on them was already more than good enough.

"Of course, Auntie," Avery Graham agreed. If she became part of the family, she would only bring more in the future.

"Alright, Mom, I’ll take Sister Avery to my room for a while," Jollie Auclair didn’t want her mother to babble on; she had things to discuss with Avery Graham, but her mother kept holding Avery, talking.

"Go ahead, go ahead, get something for Sister Avery to eat. Avery, don’t eat too much, we’re about to have lunch," Jollie Auclair’s mother said cheerfully, quite content, and then she went back to the kitchen to keep busy.
