Chapter 896: 018 Perfect Happiness (The Grand Finale of this Volume)_3

Ryan Parker learned about Zoey Parker’s situation and agreed to arrange a position for her in the group. With that, the matter of the group’s inheritance came to a close.

After informing Jackson Clarke of his start date, Ryan followed Celia Wade to visit Harry Wade in G City.

Upon seeing Celia Wade, Harry Wade informed her how to be a good wife and daughter-in-law, lessons his wife had imparted before she passed away. Now that she was gone, it was naturally the father’s turn to pass them on.

"Yes, I know, Dad." Celia Wade nodded. She would certainly do her best to be a good wife to Ryan Parker and a good daughter-in-law to Marcus Parker and Ellie Wilton, treating them as if they were her own parents.

"Dad, rest assured, Celia Wade is the best," said Ryan Parker, looking at the woman he had watched grow up with a face full of affection.

From a little girl to the young lady she was now, he had always thought he would treat her as a sister all his life, protecting her from the rain and wind. But, as feelings developed, they gradually became uncontrollable.

Realizing that one day she would become another man’s woman, be another man’s wife, he felt an aching in his heart. It was only then he understood that his feelings had changed profoundly. To protect her for life, she needed to become his own, otherwise, even as her Big Brother, there would be room for someone else by her side.

Fortunately, now there would be no one else beside her except for him.

Hearing Ryan Parker say this, Celia Wade lifted her little head proudly, while Harry Wade shook his head helplessly. "You shouldn’t spoil her like this. When she has a child, and you find out that you have to look after two children, you’ll understand how hard it is. Therefore, it’s better for her to mature quickly and fully embrace the role of a mother."

"Dad—" Although she really wanted to have Ryan Parker’s child, when such matters were brought up by an elder, Celia Wade couldn’t help but blush.

They hadn’t taken any precautions during their honeymoon; after all, they let nature take its course, whether or not she was pregnant, she didn’t know.

"What’s there to be embarrassed about? You’re nearly thirty years old. Do you think you’re still a child? Look at Carolline Ruiz, who is two months younger than you, and she is about to become a mother of two. You should hurry up and get pregnant," Harry Wade said without any hesitation, believing nothing was wrong with his words. "Besides, I’m getting older, and my health is deteriorating. You need to give me a grandson or granddaughter. That way, when I go down to meet your mother, I’ll have something to tell her."

"Dad, look at what you’re saying, you’re still healthy, and you’ll have to help us look after the kids," said Celia Wade without any embarrassment.

"Of course, of course," Harry Wade nodded, clearly looking forward to being a grandfather.

"Here it is, here it is, Miss Celia Wade, your favorite steamed cod." Penny Lawson was still busy in the Kitchen, knowing that Celia Wade was coming today, she especially went to the supermarket to buy a big piece of cod to steam for her.

"Thank you." Celia Wade nodded, "Penny, you’ve been working hard all day, come sit down and eat with us."

"Okay," Penny Lawson nodded, taking off her apron to sit down with them.

Ryan Parker put a piece of cod into Celia Wade’s bowl, "Penny is getting better and better at cooking, this cod is very tender."

"Thank you, Mr. Parker." Penny was a bit embarrassed.

Celia Wade immediately took a big bite of cod, but after only two chews, she suddenly felt unwell, a wave of nausea surging up her throat. She stood up and rushed to the nearest restroom, squatted by the toilet, and began to vomit.

Ryan Parker immediately followed her, grabbing some tissue and squatting beside her, patting her back.

Penny Lawson handed her a glass of water.

After Celia Wade had vomited for a while and rinsed her mouth with clean water, she frowned slightly, "Penny, which supermarket did you buy the cod from? Do you still have the receipt? We need to confront them; how dare they sell not fresh cod and make me vomit."

"The cod was perfectly fine; the problem is with you," said Harry Wade, coming over after he had Uncle Yu remove the cod.

The cod had no fishy smell at all; it seemed her stomach’s little occupant was rejecting it.

"Dad, what do you mean?" Celia Wade was confused; she was feeling this way, and her father didn’t seem concerned for her?
