The next day, Ryan Parker went with Marcus Parker to get a paternity test. Ryan didn’t expedite the process because the Parker Family’s matters were not his most urgent concern, so a standard procedure was fine.

After the paternity test was done, Ryan took Celia Wade back to G City for a visit.

When the two of them returned, they first went to meet Megan Clifton’s kid, a little fellow with decent looks. Of course, it was only Celia who could see the potential handsomeness in the child’s not yet fully formed face.

Megan knew Celia’s words were just polite talk, but it made her happy to hear them, after all, she was a mother.

She hadn’t planned on checking the baby’s gender anyhow, because whether it was a boy or a girl, it was her child. Surely no one would consider not wanting the child if they had hoped for a daughter and it turned out to be a son.

And besides, sometimes gender predictions could be wrong. It wasn’t until the child was born that one could be certain.

"Celia, you’ve changed so much since coming back from Kyoto, glowing all over. Is there some good news? If you do have good news, let me tell you in advance, it has to be after I’m out of confinement. I’ve only got a few days left of confinement, I know you’re in a hurry, but you have to be considerate of me. I’ve been cooped up at home for so long," Megan said pitifully. She felt her life wasn’t controlled starting from the day she gave birth, but from the day she got pregnant. Since her pregnancy, it felt as if she was being restrained; there were so many limitations and no freedom at all.

It had been so long since she had lived a wild life. So, if Celia truly planned to marry Jordy Wade, oh, that man wasn’t called Jordy Wade anymore but Ryan Parker, who would have thought he was actually a scion of a wealthy family.

Celia was destined for a sweet and blissful life, having weathered the storms to finally see a rainbow.

Megan’s words made Celia blush. She was indeed anxious, after all these years of waiting, if Ryan Parker proposed now, she would agree instantly, even without a rose ring, she would say yes to marrying him.
