Chapter 835: Memory Restoration_7
"No need, you are my wife and son, I recognize you both; why do we need to greet them?" Marcus Parker said proudly. Those four ineffectual children, if it weren’t for their surnames being Parker, he wouldn’t have given them a share of the group’s stock, ensuring that they would have no worries about food and clothing for the rest of their lives.
As for the group he founded, naturally, it should be passed on to his son, and to the most outstanding one at that.
Ryan was his most outstanding son and the talent he valued the most. Previously, he had even thought that in order for the Parker Group to stand firm, he didn’t necessarily have to pass it on to those three unsatisfactory sons of his.
Now, Ryan was back, and still acknowledged him as father; his belongings naturally should be handed over to him.
"I think we should still say something to them, it would be better," Ellie Wilton slightly frowned. Although those four children still hadn’t accepted her to this day, her thoughts also considered their perspective. She felt they were being wronged on behalf of their mother, because her emergence made their father alienate their mother. Once, they had a happy family.
Therefore, she still felt some guilt towards Hannah Browman and those four children, but love is something she couldn’t resist. Love is just love, but she never intended to destroy their harmonious family. When Mrs. Parker came to negotiate with her for Browman’s sake, she made it clear: she loved Marcus Parker but wouldn’t make him divorce over her.
With that assurance, Mrs. Parker was relieved to go back and did not give her a hard time.
Coming from a well-respected family, it was even less possible for Hannah Browman to come to her causing trouble. As long as Marcus Parker visited her once or twice a week, she was very content.
She really didn’t ask for much.
"Dad, just listen to Mom," Jordy Wade, who had decided to call himself Ryan Parker, also stood by Ellie Wilton’s side, trying to persuade Marcus Parker.
That day at the separate courtyard, he had already met the Parker family’s eldest and second sons. They gave him the impression that the Parker family’s children were really not easy to get along with, but no matter how difficult, even if the Parker residence was a den of dragons and tigers, he still had to wade through these waters.
They were innocent; he was innocent as well. At least their upbringing included their parents’ company, while his was solitary, with only his foster parents, as his biological mother was only with him until he was four.
He had suffered far more than they had. Besides, Marcus Parker only married his mother back home after their mother had been gone for three years, which was fair to them, their mother, and their grandmother. Therefore, even if he reclaimed his original Parker surname, he would not feel sorry about it.
"Since you both say so, let it be then. Ryan, after you’re discharged, you and Celia will move into the separate courtyard. If there’s anything in G City that you can’t let go of, your mother and I will go help you bring it over," Marcus Parker finally compromised. After all, he couldn’t talk both his wife and son down.
He, Marcus Parker, had never properly enjoyed this kind of family joy in his life; it was a blessing for his old age given by the heavens, and he needed to cherish it.
"We’ll ask Celia later to see if she needs anything," Ryan Parker said to his father.
Apart from changing his identity, he had many things to do. The Saunders family needed an explanation; with Marcus Parker recognizing him, he was also one of the heirs to the Parker Group whether he wanted it or not because that became his new identity.
He needed this new identity to be with Celia again.
So, sooner or later, the Saunders family would find out; Avery Saunders, that woman, might not rest easy when she hears the news. She’s a formidable character too.
Initially, he had made a mistake involving her, but by the time he realized, it was too late. He just never expected that Avery Saunders, in order to get him, would really dare to purposely run onto the highway to get hit by a car. At that moment, he was somewhat stunned, and hence a bit confused, foolish even. Coupled with the Saunders family’s timely arrival, he ended up bearing the responsibility for Avery Saunders.
Even though he took on that responsibility, the relationship between him and Avery Saunders was never as harmonious as Celia imagined. He had never taken the initiative to care for Avery, yet Avery tolerated him without limits. In front of her family, she could still laugh pleasantly and say he was very good to her, but in fact, he had never shown her a kind face.
