Chapter 831: Memory Restoration_3

And he, he missed her so much, too. Although the time of his amnesia was not long, the period they had been apart felt too lengthy for him, so extended that he never wanted to part again.

After her tears had subsided, Celia Wade raised her head pitifully, looking into Jordy Wade’s eyes that shone like diamonds, she felt a bit guilty, "Will you be angry with me? If it weren’t for my willfulness, you wouldn’t have had that car accident or suffered so much."

"Fool, how could I be mad at you? Even if you truly asked me to die, I would do so willingly," Jordy Wade professed deeply, holding her hand.

Celia Wade stood frozen, and when she realized what he had just said, she swooped in to cover his mouth, "Don’t talk nonsense, never say that word again, you hear?"

"Heard you loud and clear," Jordy Wade obediently agreed, and only then did Celia Wade break into a smile through her tears.

The two stared at each other, time slipping away minute by minute, neither noticing until Ellie Wilton and Marcus Parker came in, and upon seeing their expressions, understood everything.

"You remember who they are, don’t you?" Celia Wade said to Jordy Wade when she saw the two enter.

What worried her was that by remembering their past, yet not recalling anything about Marcus Parker and Ellie Wilton, things would be awkward, but after these few days together, she had come to realize that the pair had indeed been good to Jordy Wade.

"Yes, I remember," Jordy Wade nodded. Of course, he remembered them.

Back then, he had been in charge of the Wade Family, and with his capability, he had led the family up several steps in the business world. Later on, he slowly earned a reputation in the Business Circle. He had actually approached Ellie Wilton, but she did not recognize him.

However, he came to know about the relationship between Ellie Wilton and Marcus Parker, and after that, Marcus Parker approached him several times for collaborations, all of which he rejected. He didn’t understand as a child, but now he did. In his childhood, Ellie Wilton had abandoned him because of Marcus Parker.

As a child, the mother he had revered willingly became the mistress of a married man. At the time, he felt ashamed. Although he had since experienced love, he believed that a beautiful love should have the right values, like not supporting relationships that destroy other families. This held true even for his biological parents, Henry Lawson included, especially given that he was once a child born out of wedlock.

His mother had blindly sacrificed herself for love, along with him.

He could neither understand nor accept it.

Now, Ellie Wilton could be said to have gone from bitterness to sweetness. Marcus Parker was still good to her, and he and Celia had been through so much together. Honestly, it was only after a brush with death that he had come to realize and understand many things.

Life is but a short journey, and in the vast sea of people, meeting someone who loves and relies on you should indeed be cherished. Life is brief, sometimes, one can’t merely look at the age difference or the disparity in social status between two people. At least Ellie Wilton did not destroy Marcus Parker’s family for love.

Marcus Parker’s wife and his four children still enjoyed a complete family. The only ones who really suffered were Ellie Wilton and himself.

In these past few days of companionship, he had not forgotten Ellie Wilton’s explanation, which he had also taken to heart. Ellie Wilton had indeed tried to find him; in fact, she had come looking for him that very night, only he had been unaware at the time.

That day was his birthday, and so the children at the orphanage suggested playing hide and seek as a celebration—everyone agreed. To make the game more enjoyable, they even swapped clothes with each other.

Ellie Wilton did not know she had narrowly missed him, so she went abroad heartbroken to heal. He could accept this explanation.

That’s why Ellie Wilton had not appeared before him all these years.

"Jordy, have you regained your memory?" Ellie Wilton, hearing their conversation, was pleasantly surprised and asked Jordy Wade.

Jordy Wade nodded. He faced her with a recognition and warmth that had been absent before.

This was a particularly happy occurrence for Ellie Wilton.

"Yeah, everything from my childhood, I remember it all," Jordy Wade said, looking at her and nodding.

At that moment, Celia Wade quietly stood up, vacating the spot next to Jordy Wade, giving mother and son space to talk properly.
