Chapter 823: 007 Successful surgery_2
So, facing Jordy Wade, she really felt ashamed.
Perhaps influenced by Celia Wade, the words spilled out of Ellie Wilton’s mouth without any consideration.
Once these words were said, the atmosphere instantly cooled down, and the gazes of all three people involuntarily turned to Jordy Wade, who was silent. Jordy merely paused for a moment before gently smiling at Celia Wade, "You’ve been talking nonstop since you entered the room, are you thirsty? Here, have some water to moisten your throat."
Marcus Parker + Ellie Wilton: "..."
It was said that Jordy Wade was extremely fond of his sister, and in his heart, no woman could compare to her. Consequently, the woman who ended up marrying Jordy would undoubtedly be unhappy.
Such assertions seemed exaggerated, or else Avery Saunders wouldn’t have come into the picture. However, the reality proved that in the world of Jordy and Celia, indeed, no other woman was allowed to enter.
Today, they had witnessed firsthand how Jordy doted on Celia, which was enough to make both gods and humans jealous.
Ellie really envied Celia, but she also felt grateful to this girl for allowing her son to still be capable of loving someone like this.
Celia obediently took the glass of water, drank half of it, and Jordy was not satisfied again, "Drink slowly, no one is competing with you. Also, water should be sipped, not gulped down in such a hurry."
After speaking, Jordy took a paper tissue from the coffee table and carefully wiped Celia’s mouth.
Marcus and Ellie both thought that Jordy’s actions were merely for show, but in fact, it was a habit. Even after losing his memory, some subconscious habits do not get forgotten, like looking after Celia, cherishing her, protecting her.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have found it unbearable to see Celia crying.
Moreover, Jordy’s actions were so natural. After wiping her mouth, his hands suddenly froze, as if, in his memories, he was used to caring for her like this.
The sentence he had just said also sounded very familiar to him.
Therefore, he didn’t actually need to come to Kyoto. As long as he was with Celia, letting these subconscious habits resurface slowly, perhaps, his memory would gradually return.
Thinking this, Jordy wanted to leave, and take Celia with him.
Meanwhile, Marcus spoke up first to apologize, "Jordy, don’t be angry. Your auntie just spoke without thinking. She didn’t mean anything by it."
"... Yeah, I know, I’m not angry," Jordy nodded. Although he was still rather distant with Celia, his attitude had improved a lot compared to before.
Marcus and Ellie exchanged a smile, finally feeling a bit relieved.
The servant came over and said that the other dishes were ready, and they were just waiting for the lady’s Cola Chicken Wings and Fried Potato Strips.
These two dishes, while seemingly simple, actually took a lot of effort to make. In the past, Celia loved eating them the most, and these were the only two dishes that weren’t really considered meals that Ellie could make to Celia’s liking. Celia critiqued almost every other home-cooked meal, claiming Ellie had no talent for cooking, leaving Ellie with no choice but to feel embarrassed.
"Alright, you two just sit for a while, or let your Uncle Marcus show you around the courtyard. I’ll be done here in a moment, and we can eat once I’m finished," Ellie stood up, tying on the apron handed to her by the servant, and headed to the kitchen.
She was walking fast because she was excited and wanted to quickly make some delicious food for Celia.
Ellie was perhaps a little too excited. When she was preparing these two dishes, Marcus had reminded her that even though Jordy was their Celia, after all, he had grown up and become a mature man who wouldn’t eat her Cola Chicken Wings and Fried Potato Strips like a child anymore.
Those were the kind of things children loved.
But Ellie wouldn’t listen to reason and was very happy preparing these two dishes. Marcus could understand Ellie’s feelings, and it was fortunate that the house servants had prepared many other dishes as well, so having these two extra wasn’t an issue.
Celia was bursting with energy and, without any reservation, had Marcus lead the way, showing her and Jordy around their separate courtyard. The buildings inside were quite plain to see, with only bedrooms and lounges upstairs, as well as leisure rooms like those in villas, or perhaps something more elegant, like an indoor swimming pool and such. These things weren’t of interest to her.
What she was more interested in were the things outside the buildings, still locked within the separate courtyard.
