Chapter 802: Chapter 802: Left Again (6)
Watching the bill fluttering away just like that.
What a pity.
Jordy Wade certainly couldn’t hear the female waiter’s thoughts as he swiftly ordered a signature coffee, some desserts she recommended that weren’t too sweet, and a few specialty snacks like shrimp balls and Fried Chicken Popcorn.
After ordering, looking at the snacks that were served, he felt somewhat confused, instinctively feeling that these weren’t the kind of things he liked to eat. A memory suddenly surfaced—a little girl about five or six years old, with her hair in two twisted braids, savoring the shrimp balls with gusto. In the end, with her mouth all yellow, even though it looked disgusting, he didn’t mind at all, and actually thought she was the most adorable angel in the world.
The little girl suddenly looked up, "Big Brother, this is so yummy, thank you. Next time, for my birthday, will you take me here again, please?"
They really had been together for a long time, and Jordy Wade was certain that this little girl who just popped into his memory was Celia.
Jordy Wade was so lost in thought that he didn’t notice when he knocked over a small cup of coffee that had just been poured, spilling it because it was freshly brewed and still quite hot, and slightly burning his hand.
Waiters always keep their eyes and ears open, and when they noticed the situation at his table, someone immediately came over, "Sir, did you get burned?"
"It’s nothing, just my own carelessness," Jordy Wade shook his head.
"It’s turned red; let me get some Burn Ointment for you, please wait a moment," the waiter said after examining the patch on Jordy Wade’s hand that had been scalded by the coffee and was reddening, needing some burn ointment applied.
Jordy Wade wanted to stop her, but it was too late.
He really felt it was unnecessary.
Before long, someone brought him the Burn Ointment, but it wasn’t the waiter who had hurried over earlier; it was the owner of the Café, Ellie Wilton herself.
Ellie Wilton had been inside making coffee; most of the coffee served today was prepared by her. She had spent years abroad without accomplishing much, except for learning how to make coffee really well, capable of making any kind of coffee.
Before she was about to return to Z Country, Marcus Parker had called in advance to ask her what she wanted as a wedding gift. She said she didn’t want anything, but Marcus was insistent, sincerely telling her to just say what she wanted as he felt he owed her too much and wanted to give her a gift that was truly dear to her heart.
It would make him feel a little less uncomfortable.
At the time, she was indeed touched, and when Marcus Parker asked her, he had already bought her a separate courtyard, which if she had known, she wouldn’t have asked for the Café.
So she seriously said that if he really wanted to give her something, a Café would be nice, as she had developed a habit of making a lot of coffee every day, or her hands would feel itch.
Therefore, Marcus Parker fulfilled her wish by having the Café renovated in the shortest time possible, completely based on her own vision.
This allowed her to open before the New Year.
Marcus Parker even asked her yesterday if she was sure about opening before the New Year, since he couldn’t guarantee she’d have any customers—after all, with the holidays, everyone is busy with their own things and who would come for coffee?
According to Z Country’s customs, these days, people in Z Country are either on the road during the Spring Festival travel season or still struggling to secure those precious tickets; who would have the leisure to come for a coffee.
